I bet I'd love the little guy
he's already gotten 3 devout dog haters to reconsider. Little ambassador of his species he is, lol.

Night Jilli sleep well
good morning diann, are you there??
night all
this is huge!!!
who is still here?
I've only just begun
Hi ruby, I'm here but only for another 5 minutes before I go out.
nice to say hello, anyway!
some of the tulips I planted as pink or rose-colored per the package, seem to be coming up white!
The grid is pretty fast so far. Lots of easy words. Usually so with the big ones.
lol ruby. Well, white is pretty anyway.
but I am very compulsive about my color scheme....alas
I was woken up at 6.30 hearing the sheep a bit nearer than usual, to find three mums with twins in our garden!
did you get a photo?
One of the cats acted as a sheep-cat and helped me round them up :-)
that is just too cute
lol, not on my mind at that time of the morning. Sheep are easy, the bull was a bit alarming and the pigs are just stupid.
The cat thinks she is a dog, I'm sure.
It's fun living in the country :-)
do you have pigs or is it just a neighbor. They have a reputation as being smart. I guess not
no farms around here but there are evidently "wild" animals, none of which I've seen : boar, foxes, chamois
A neighbour had small rare breed ones. They don't budge, I've learnt, unless you rattle a bucket with pig nuts in. (Or did you mean was my neighbour a pig?! :-) )
We had lots of wild boar coming through the property in Corsica.
you lived in Corsica? It is one of my favorite places, although I only spent 3 wks there in 1979. Still drink Myrthe, [sp?] when I can get it!
No, holiday. Anyway, have 200 and must dash. See you later.
see you later!
what are pig nuts (I hate to think....lol)
pig food :-) gone
hahah

hi pms, are we alone in here
Possily; and I'm reading the newspaper!
I'm here, don't panic everyone!!!!!
Hi Movie, and Bye, I have to go to work. :( money is good though.
en
greetings, all. it's a good thing I got a jump on this grid.
377?? ill need more than a jump for this grid;/
What a way to start a day! I'm scared.
crossy will protect you from the big bad grid gramma
Thanks crossy
how about this for a daily weather report people,im going to need shorts and a parka all in the same day!! http://www.theweathernetwork.com/index .php?product=weather&placecode=caon015 8&switchto=f&switchto=c
we had 81 in chicago yesterday
it's ok I'm used to being invisible
hello friends. this grid is a message from god for me today....I was gonna try to pretend I am back to full speed, get going around the house, etc. And the babble gods have sent me a big, honkin "take it easy" grid....thanks babble gods!
i see you gramma,im just trying this breathing thing and slowly coming to life
Hi, all - just checked London's weather on that site, Crossy. What a revelation - partly cloudy, partly cloudy, partly cloudy, cloudy, cloudy..
I'm not gramma
lol nb
like i say,trying to wake up,sorry esprit
LOL ...hello nancy! and bon matin esprit!
hi tri
I wouldn't mind but it's not a five day forecast, more like a five month forecast ;)
oops - forgot to change up the profile photo....
better stay over there then nb,anywhere else a sunbeam mat hit you and you will fry like an egg
okay, this photo cracked me up, but the caption might be too naughty for the chog -- consensus please?
lol
I LOVE IT!
LOL Trif!!!
okay then. it stays, for a bit anyway
I think that's fine, but where I live, "the eff word" is basically the building block of every sentence
I mainly use it for therapeutic purposes NB
a woman at my office was having a FIT this week - and, honestly, rightly so - because her college roommate and her husband had their first child last month, and gave it the middle name "Effin" which they think is ***hilarious***
can quite understand the urge, Esprit...I do find cursing in a vehement and venemous fashion does make me feel better.
human stupidity is a never ending source of wonder Tri
is rather too much....
enable doesn't take santa? what treachery is this!?
proper noun silly girl
id be swearing as well if my wife was humping my college room mate
but you could try a different end vowel
ha ha crossy
In my old school, there was a family who gave their children middle names that were old family nicknames....which wouldn't have been too bad if "curly-wurly" hadn't gone into it. Poor kids.
oh, dog needs out. agony. be right back.
that's too goofy, no wonder people need therapy
I know, right? Pr4s!
or in fact, just pr5, since it plurals itself ;)
phantom parenteral
Oh no Esprit, I really want 'parent' now!
got the fatherly one though, and felt very proud
one who fa5/16 should certainly be a fa**er
oh yes ;) but on that unsavoury note, I'm off to do hair and generally primp a bit - bbl!
primping is fine, pimping not so much :-)
"parenteral" is a medical term, nancy. "parental" is the other one
crossy, you are sure to find this amusing -- primo's GF got a C on her report card, and her dad FLIPPED out and grounded her for the rest of the school year....she is only allowed to do school activities, nothing else. Primo and GF were in despair as to how they would see each other, when inspiration struck. Guess who just got parts in the school play, thus guaranteeing themselves parent-approved afternoons of leisurely rehearsal time?
I have to admit, I thought that was a pretty clever ploy.
evening all :)
50 words to go
howdy mr p! how goes it?
wow, angelsong, that is impressive!!!
It all goes well! How you all doing? Long time no see!
laid up at the moment with a back bother, so happy to see a nice fat grid to keep my off my feet, but engaged
mrp!! (((MRP)))
oh trif! hope you get better soon! Back pain is awful!
((((crossy!!! )))) so good to see you!!
it's better every day, no big whoop. just have to move slowly is all...
bad chickens
spring is finally here, so that makes everyone's hearts lighter. winter seemed endless this year, for sure!
oh tell me about it! I showed one of the the oven yesterday... she was not impressed!! Clucked like mad! LOL
LOL mr p!!!
if i were in your shoes,i would of put it in the microwave and set it to defrost
Mr p, I was so sorry to hear of your fall, and the ensuing trouble you had. you poor thing! so glad you are back to rights though, albeit slowly, of course
trif, thankfully we are going into winter... we have mild winter here so is a great break from the months of humidity we usually suffer
good idea crossy, I will pop her in the deep freezer first though!
have had a stupid few months. but everything is looking up and bright now!
how is you girl mrp?heard she had some breathing complications?
Maddie got pneumonia and had it for a long while before they treated her... bloody useless ER doctors! It took me so many visits to the doc and hospital. I was pretty freaked out for her cause she was in pain.
Luke then got Whooping Cough! terrific February indeed
then I got broncitis for a couple of weeks, then broke my legs! I don't know who has cursed me, but I am not going without a fight!!
good grief!
you said it charlie!
you fight it mrp!
to the bloody bitter end crossy!! I love my life, it is very privileged, and I don't lay down for bad luck.
thats my girl;)
I bow, mr president, I bow....
(((hugs))) to you both!! thanks
im like that as well mrp, either im like you,or i am a s+m freak lol
oh geez! just realized I forgot to wake up tertiare for the bus! whoops! oh well - she will get to lie in, and I will drop her at school.
LOL crossy!
a lie in is always lovely!! and getting a lift to school is even nicer! :)
my son is being evil,he can walk to school..in the rain
I got my referee card for soccer - so that makes me the M in S&M for sure!
evil son! all the same aren't they! ;)
god! 16 years old and just grunts at you
ah yes, sons of the silent age....
he would rather starve to death than have a go and doing his own lunch
haha! they are just so pleasant! NOT
crossy, the best thing my step mom ever did was make sure both her boys worked in restaurants for at least one summer each. they are now amazing cooks, and believe me, the ladies notice!
we're not adolescent-boy bashing I hope ;)
you should hear him out there slamming food around and swearing
sorry nb,mine is evil
no Boy, we are commiserating the growing up of our darling sons
and im venting my spleen as they say
well he doesn't know how lucky he is, Crossy ;) I'd have killed to have had a father like you!
you would think i asked him to chop off a finger lol
awww
id adopt you in a heartbeat nb
lol MrP...just close your eyes and cover your ears for the duration of their high school education...
cant cover our ears when the cops keep calling round lol
((hugs)) then again - even the ever-so-saintly moi was not always so saintly...;)
Boy, am trying to! My boy is extraordinary so I need to take a lot of care with him... he needs me
cops! that sucks so much... :(
next time one of them asks"is this your son?" ill say no,never seen this kid b4
I am actually having more trouble with 13 year old hormonal-blender girl than 17 year old boy...
Hi Mr. P and everyone else here
hopefully just a phase, Crossy :/ fingers crossed anyway!
13 y.o. girls are impossible
ohh 13 year old girls are even worse..that why we leave them to our wives
hi bichon!! :)
oh, crossy, a memory stirs --- when I was in high school, I worked in a mall, and heard a mom and son arguing. He snarled "I didn't ask to be born you know!" and the BRILLIANT mom fired back - "well, if you had, the answer would have been NO!" I had to hide behind a shelf, I was laughing so hard
Good Morning everyone - oh are we talking teenagers this morning - got two of those myself
mainly they just play us against each other
My 12 year old is going to be doing what in a year????? (panic)
LOL Trif!
yes. well, I am the "wife" in this scenario....
hi, Mom!
I have two granddaughters Just waiting
she is going to be pretending she doesn't know you in public, mr p
i tell my son that he better watch it,we brought him into this world and we can take him out and make another one that will look just like him
every breath I take seems to be a calculated effort on my part to cause secondo the most embarrassment possible. as if!
My daughter is so sweet in public - when we get home she turns into this evil demon
Yes, Trif I remember that phase. I keep reminding my daughter of that
okay, gotta drive "troll in training" to elementary school. be back soon.
lol everyone is nodding their heads, cause we all know these scenarios
oh joy~
bye trif
see ya trif (hugs)
I think my parents were spared a lot of grief when I was in school, because I had two names. If I'd done something naughty enough to warrant a phone call home, the head office would search and search for Jesse Kae's home number...but of course it was listed under my Korean name. Magic. Luckily, by the time they caught on, I was behaving myself a bit more ;)
crossy, did you see my earlier post about primo and his gf and the school play?
just think,in 30 years these deamons are going to control the earth
wow just noticed - HUGE puzzle today
mom, your daughter sounds like my husband - charming in public, NOT at home!
no,i mossed it trif
I have one of those too ruby
hello everybody. Made 142 words very fast this AM, the rest will be a big struggle, I fear
howdy ruby
hello crossy
I think daughter takes after him - thank god my son is a happy kid and easy - but he is only 13 and we do have some hormones raging
she was grounded by her folks for getting a c, and is only allowed to do school activities, no social outings. so they both got parts in the school play, assuring long afternoons of parent-approved rehearsal time. pretty clever, really
at least he takes me out for lucnh -- often
so=a type of iced treat
well, I just grounded the little buggers for 5 days... and carried through on it (during school holidays)... they read, played card games, rode their bikes and talked very nicely to eachother whilst cleaning the house top to bottom twice a day!!
anyone have the fuzzy stuffed be word with the ending that makes it a 6 letter word?
one who carries, jae
i havent started puzzle yet so sorry
pretty sneaky Trif ;)
wow! mrp..my kid would just lay there
Sneaky=teenager
I resent that Bichon ;)
Nancy, are you a teenager? sorry. but I remember my teenage days
youth is wasted on the young bichon;0
i was a evil bugger also
so it comes around crossy
I waited until I was grown up to be bad!
it does indeed, but my brothers 2 kids are on the honor roll and speak 3 languages each
;(((
For another few months at least, Bichon! but only joking - I DID have to be sneaky! since I very wisely kept word of my various romances away from my parents' ears...
yes crossy, there's always the exceptions
crossy, I am a very 'scary' mother when I feel taken advantage of. They know they have crossed the line when I start swearing! That is when they run scared!
sigh...kids
you sounds like a great mother to me, mrpres
I'm reading a book now by Annie Lamott "Imperfect Birds". About parents who are oblivious to what their teens are actually doing
thanks ruby! :)
we all do the best we can; the handbooks are not really adequate....
when my boy was 12 or so,i was giving him hell for something and he pipe us"dad! you better be nice to me cause i get to decide what home you go in"!!
i said"not if i take you out of the dene pool first!
did you lock him outside and tell him to sleep in the kennel?
gene
hmmm, I never though about it from the parents' point of view before. I have a sudden urge to apologise to all of you ;)
When my kids said to me "What will you give me if I do some chore" I told them I's "allow them to live for one more day"
lol, crossy make s a note to build a small kennel
why isn't fantan a word?
LOL!! love it
why isn't retar
there used to be a song for that very thing bichon called "no charge" ill have to google it ,see if it is still around
bichon, I thought so, too
I'm having trouble with the bottom r. I keep trying re words
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq74uCo tnfs
there you go bichon;))
ty crossy
play that for the kids when they get too many dollar signs in their eyes
love it crossy!
:)
time for oatmeal bbl
see you later bichon
see you later everybody; time for the newspaper and a lie-down
tc ruby

Trif, several babblers have recommended a book called The Help. I have not read it, still waiting my turn at the library
ok mom, thanks, will check it out
have you ever read the story of edgar sawtelle - wonderful book
I always recommend my two favourite books - Nights at the Circus by Angela Carter, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey
I have not
I love cuckoos nest - remember having to read it in high school and hated it - then picked it up a few years ago and loved it
Mudbound was good, yes -- have you read "The Help"? Excellent!
I would highly recommend it - The Story of Edgar Sawtells by David Wroblewski - its about a young mute boy and his dogs
Good morning {{Une}}
Same, Mom - hated it in school, LOVE it now! It's been read to rags ;)
Hi Une!
Havent yet but on my list
hey, mom and annie!

if you like thrillers, The Thirteenth Hour is a good one :-)
FIREWORKS!......NOT!
lol jay
HI Jaybo33
Hi mom!
How's dad?
i love thrillers - reading stephen king right now but not crazy about it
Also, "The Lost City of Z" was fascinating

This Babble is likely to be eaten by a GrÜe!
oh, must stop to get ready for work but really don't want to leave this grid.....
have a great day Une and GoodEnough
which Stephen King, Mom? I'm not a fan, but do love The Green Mile
by Une and Good - have a great day
don't forget, drinks later momneedshelp
this is his book of short stories - Just After Sunset - Im not really a short story fan but it was recommended. Cant say I like it much but always fniish what I start
Absolutely GE

oh, gawd help us all, the singing cardinal is back.
sure does Nef. Good morning
you don't care for cardinals singing, Trifi?
Lotta words here, huh?
usually yes, nef, but this one has been singing non stop for 4 days and the lady cardinals could not give less of a shit for his nonsense

Just think of a Rockin' Robin instead dahling!
that makes it easier to find them, Kaplan! :-)

I feel kind of funny about it...not my kid.

Hi Mom.. How are You today?

Just lots and lots and lots and lots of words
C:
Sorry; off to the PB for me...
I will NOT spend the morning here.

jesse, jesse, jesse -- what are we gonna do with you? *snuggles*
I have to go to the gym then work- but you will see me a bit later. I have 182 words left!
Hello everyone. NB--has the dust cleared yet?
hi Scrabbler
morning scrabbler
*sneeze, sneeze, sneeze* Excuse me...spring allergy attack.
hi Scrabbler
yes Scrabbler..I have sneezing alot too
I don't know Eva, I think I pulled something :P
dust, Scrabbler?!
The cloud from the volcano.
Ash is the better term.
maybe leo needs to give you a rub-down. :X
OH! I don't know Scrabbs, I've seen neither hide nor hair of this ash! Apart from a slightly lilac sunset yesterday...
morning babblers!
Maybe it is lighter where you are? Less of it? The videos I saw were impressive.
hi scrabbler,NB,Eva,boobear
Hi Robbie
hard to pick out anything else through 300ft of English cloud and the usual london smog ;)
morning Robbie
And Eva...maybe ;)
hi mom
hi folks
Hi briefly! We've got ash here. Can't see it per se but the sky is the color it goes just after a solar eclipse starts and there are visible dust clouds near the horizon.
I'm supposed to be going on holiday with the family to Rhodes in 6 weeks, and catching a plane from Luton.......
Hi Pippingeek
Hi Monkeygames and Movieman
how long are the flight going to be canceled due to the ash?
I'm supposed to fly to Ca on the 4th. Getting nervous about that.
Hi pip + MM + MG
Robbie, pretty much nobody knows yet.
Hiya all
Is the volcano still spewing?
hi monkeygames and MM
Darned thing's still spewing it out.
wow! still erupting! that is amazing!
If I suddenly drop out of the chog it´s because I´m at work, just giving a head´s up.
makes me glad all my travelling this month will not be affected by errant clouds of ash
Ok MG
hi pip
What a mess for air travel!
There have been two major eruptions, one day before yesterday, and they expect more and of course this could set off the big one next to it too. Could be weeks. Could be months. Could be days.
driving up t georgia today and not at all motivated
Good morning all
Where do you live, Pip?
Hi Mr Bob
Atlanta pip?
morning Mr. Bob
hi mrBob
i miss my kitty, and i talked to the woman who's watching her, and she's been hiding under the couch for more than a day now
I quote± "The cancellations have already caused the greatest mayhem to air travel since the Second World War."
i'll stop in atlanta to see a friend, but staying in athens
NB -- we have some relatives flying over from England at the end of next month -- you should pack yourself + leo in their luggage. :)
i'm currently in florida, tampa area
LOL Eva! easier for me than for him...he's about 6'2"!
so it's like 7 hours
wow! Monkey games! Glad I'm not flying anywhere
Pip, I was born at Emory Hospital 50 yrs ago.
i used to live a block or two away from emory hospital, right behind druid hills high school
This trip next month is a replacement for the one we couldn't take when my son was hit by a car. Now we have a volcano threatening it. If we miss this one and try again, will the aliens land???
he had better limber up, then. ;)
we moved up north when I was 10 mo old
oh he's plenty limber :D
I've flown into the Tampa airport before..my folks live in Venice,Fl....you have a huge bridge to go over!
oh my. *blushes*
the norwell high school spanish club is now sitting in an airport in new york city, trapped on their way to spain for april break
oh noes, trif!
oh,that's a shame trif
Oh, no, Trif!
robbie, i don't go over the bridge, that's south of me, but it is big and pretty
Good morning, all. Monkey! Haven't seen you in ages!!!
hi judi
Hi Judi
hope your trip works out monkey
sigh..."trannie" is SO a word!
Yeah, Judi, been crazy times, and I may have to drop out of this chat too-- I'm at work. But here I am for now anyway! How are you?
I'm pretty good. Walter was hit by a car?? OMG. When was that?
Thanks, Robbi. Me too. Otherwose you wouldn't believe the hassles we'd have... and we'd have to still pay for the kennel for the dog... and we're planning to spend our 17th anniversary with family, so we hope all goes through!
Almost 5 months ago, Judi. He's OK now. His leg was shattered but it has healed well and he has even started gymnastics. He still has scar troubles and aches, and the leg is weak, but none of that is permamant and he's over the trauma.
Thank goodness the little copper penny haired boy is all better. That must have been very scarey for everyone!
{{walter}}
Hi Car
hi car
Good Morning Scrabbler! Good morning Friends!
It SURE was Judi. He was going to school with my neighbor and got it into his head it'd be fun to be forst across teh street. It was bad but it could have been SO much worse!
clue for al 7 pls
I'm so glad Walter is doing better, and enjoying gymnastics
OMG, Monkey! The very thought just sends cold chills up my back! Poor little guy! ((Monkey & family)) ((Walter))
hi nef
Thanks, folks. We're out the other side of the whole thing now but I do still sometimes kind of fall apart about it when nobody's looking.... Walter wants to do a book about it so I'm working up some sample illustration styles for him to pick from. He wants other kids to read about it and learn. His idea. That's my boy!
how sweet and courageous he is monkey!
I cannot help, Boobear, other than also looking
hi robbie, Boo, car.ee, and everybody. (I'm trying not to chat and enter words at the same time this AM
oh, he is such a dear, monkey!
That sounds brilliant, Monkey. Good therapy Walter and mommy. How's the job going? Are you still at the haunted museum?
ok tx
I don't have it either yet, Boo. Sorry
Hee hee, Judi! Not a museum, a research institute. And we're not sure it's haunted.... Thay have taken me on permanantly here!
wow monkey, I hadn't heard that about your job! congratulations!
Monkey, that's such a great idea! And Walter came up with that idea? Wow!
you have such an interesting job monkey
Ooops. Oh well, I remember you calling it a (possibly) hauted something. Good on you for making permanent status!
Thanks, all, on both subjects! Yeah, after 3 temp jobs at the same time, here I am finally at rest at the Institute for War Documentation as receptionist and translator. And I am also proud of the little guy for thinking of the book. He'll tell the story and I'll illustrate it.
With 229 to find how can I be stuck now?
Robbie, it was even more interesting at the Neuroscience Institute, where I took recept of shipments of things called "pure anti-human" and so on. But I do love it here!
I'm stuck with 319 to go Scrabbs.
Go Walter! Go Monkey!
238 left here..lol
Babble Blindness Syndrome--it attacks unexpectedly.
Get that book published, Monkey. "Pure anti-human". Sounds like our City Administrator.
Just passed halfway here.
al7 an avenging spirit
ty boobear
yw
*thinking about an avenging spirit*
Dang, Boo. That brought my mind to a screeching halt!
al plus something that la***ends in or

sorry nef but that is what the definition said
I agree with Nef. I can't think now.
okey-dokey, then!
how many points do you have, adam44
gears are grinding...nothing coming out!
I'm with you, Car.e. No revelations on the al7.

Ah. Ty, lynxxx.

Ty Lynxxx

also works good for getting rid of grubs - thanks lynxxx
ty got the al7
Scrabbs, like the wheels under chairs... thanks, Lynxxx, that did it.
Can anyone clue the la7 not the illuminated one the other please ;o)
at least canola oil isn't hydrogenated!
Ah, that oil! A laxative!

No 8's here either (but I'm looking now!)
I have the same two as you, Peri.
I can offer ta7.28 & the 8
hi everyone, back from my power walk
I only have the same 2 you have peri

bah..down to 21 left. My eyes are scrambled
Good for you, Bichon. I will do that la5.
pr8 before birth
TY, Robbie
Yes, it's a healthy day so far, oatmeal for breakfast
hi peri, bichon
Go Jes go!
ty for pr8
wow! go jes!
I wish I loved oatmeal..it is sooo good for you
I am going into the office today at 1, on my day off, for EHR training--electronic health records--computer system.
ty luv
clue for ta7 & 8 plz
I can never find words that start with 2 vowels, help with ae6 pls
To insert air
sorry scrabs....that you have to go in on your day off
ae6 is something you do to your lawn to help the grass grow
ty got the ae8
the ae7/8 expand on that
Well, it is supposed to rain la5 and my hiking buddy is out of town anyway, so this was best of all choices to train
Insert air? I thought that was the clue for fa4.
lol
Haha, that is to release air
funny Judi
lol..I think that is letting air out...
if you can inflate, why can't you flate
fa6 is not accepted, one who fa45/16 :O)
anyone have an7/8?
fa5/15 is what I meant
Yes, Bichon, I too tried flate
bichon, you can. Just not here.
and if fa** is okay, why isn't one who does it a word?
I just asked that
Scrabs, are you still on paper medical records?
My dr's office switched to electronic records and they all walk around with laptops
woo hoo - just past halfway! what a killer!
hope they have a backup, so records aren't lost
One of my Doctor's offices is weaning into the tablet computers. It's all very Star Trek.
*My little clinic is still on paper, but the CNM's put everything in online, so we do have EMR; just not in my office
need the single N on the left column for nbt...
go pinnypoppins!
Gotta poof for a while. Someone just dumped a typing project on me. BBL.
bye judi
wow..just realized I'm half way
I was seeing off my college nephew that lives with me. ne4 = Hawaiian goose
thanks scrabbler!
now i can go do my laundry safe in the knowledge that i only have 183 words to find later on
Nef, I used EMR at my previous practice and we use it at the Indian Reservation Health Ctr. This is a different system from those.
OK, Pinny
you live with a goose?
great pinny
Good morning ... long grid ... how is it?
I'm havig an EMR installed now, I having the MedLink EHR installed. Seems good
Soemtimes he behaves like a goose, Jane. Big grid but not too tough...yet, Merk
fairly easy so far, Merk
hi merk...dive right in merk!.. not bad!
Hi Bubba. We bought Medent and have heard only good things about it. Lots of customization is possible.
good; I won't be here long, have to do it while traveling, hubby driving.
All need to be customized, they are just too big for one person
an7.28 & 8.40 what insects usually have to feel and what roofs had before cable
awesome..where are you going merk?
TY, Lynxxx
Seattle ... is there any really troublesome long word that I should have clued before I leave and have no help available?
Here in the Twin Cities Epci seems to be the favorite EMR system. The bigger hospital systems have it and a lot ofthe clinics. It's very user friendly
(that was Epic, not Epci, BTW)
ty lynxxx
lol lynxxx...and TV sets;-)
My friend at the Cleveland Clinic uses Epic and LOVES it!
I've grayed in through the f words
you are going fast merk
pressure
is it rainy in Seatle?
it's also very easy to customize, Scrabs. We had it in my old ICU unit for about 3 years before I left there. The hospitals can introduce it into each unit as they wish
One hospital system in Buffalo uses GE Centricity.
I hope not; we're only just leaving the house. We won't get there until Sunday night.
We're hoping for no snow in the mt. passes.
I hadn't thought of snow!
are you taking I-90 out, Merk?
or I-94?
Yes
the dogs are barking, so i better let them out...be back la5/10!
I need a break--almost halfway here.
I think we are with 94 maybe part of the way, but basically we'll pick up 90 20 miles north of here and stay with it, unless we take a shortcut around Belle Fouche
LOL! I-90 and I-94 turn into the same road in MT; I just was asking which you were starting on
nice round 100 left, goodnight all
"bye lynxxx
Hi all! Diving right into this biggie.
I don't have enough time for the big grids. I am just getting up when the grid starts (6am here) so I turn it on and whilst I get going I knock off the easy words. When I can resume later in the day I kid myself that whatever is left is the size of the grid. There will be a break until after say 7pm when I start again and the grid is against a reduced one. I need my head examining cos I know the truth! Do they actually diagnose Babble Disease?
pant
I've got it too, Pat!
Sorry sorry sorry.
Had it, weaned myself so I don't get too upset when I don't have the time to finish ... but that took a couple of years ;)
I have 260 words left to find and I should be working!
I weaned myself off the chat log because I couldn't do both AND sleep..
I just popped in quickly. Have found ten more words and now must go off to chemist as I have rotten earache! See you later.
Patxxx, I had to wean myself by forcing myself to leave grids unfinished so I could sleep. Now I don't worry so much if I don't finish; and I usually enjoy chat more than the grid
feel better soon, hydra!
hi Nef!
hi mymuse! Haven't seen you for a while.
work has been interfering with my leisure life
work has been interfering with my leisure life
I know how that goes
are you on FB?
I usually play a few there ... helps with my addiction here if I don't have time lol
yes, but I'm not a big FB fan.
I was too stupid to remember to NOT type clues in the chat log box as I have ably demonstrated already. So the log had to go, well not completely.
oe
you play a few what there? scrabble?
good morning everyone
gm flosey
morning flosey
Scrabble, lexulous, word tornado
Patxxx, I'm ALWAYS entering words (or almost words) into chat and chat into the word box
scramble, packrat, etc.
see? there's WAY too much going on at FB!
lol yes, but I can say hello there to a lot of Babblers if I can keep their monikers/real names straight in my head
and I can't seem to do that, mymuse. :-)
not too much for me either ... that's why I keep it on my profile to help everyone else.
Nef, My cat is cleverer than me. She monkeyed a word once and I still look at her in wonder. I almost changed her name from Coco to Babble but shouting Babble late at night could be dangerous!
I have mine on my profile too; but others don't and that's where I get confused
LOL Patxxx, that's cute
Patxxx, can I borrow her sometime? My dog just wants attention and doesn't ever try monkeying
I will try and post it in my status ... see if that gets some to do it.
one lonely n for nbt
which one, mymuse?
figures, the HI goose ;)
naos
Ah! My last N for NBT was the 4th column N
arrrrrrghhhhh sorry
thanks! ;-)
see Pat I do it too lol
Nef, Coco the cat I spoke about is nicknamed Empress Victoria. She is so imperious. I have another cat and a Labrador and she has both under control. Pedro, tiger tom cat, appears to taste her foor for her then moves away when she wants to eat and he's a real toughie elsewhere. The Lab, Oscar, just gives in to whatever she wants. Thanks mymuse.. I would NEVER finish if babblers didn't occasionally lapse.
Nef: Food if the word.
I finally finished this BLASTED puzzle!!!!!!!!
congrats jae! that is an accomplishment!
WTG, jaeleigh! YAY!!
I want 230
The ta's are an absolute nightmare...
and ty...
oh, my! I just noticed how mant T words there are.... (discouraged now)
I know...it is really tough- especially the multiple spellings for fish sauce
I know...it is really tough- especially the multiple spellings for fish sauce
sorry...
don't worry, jae; it does that sometimes
Yeah, I know, but it is polite to say sorry after your fingers burp...LOL!
LOL! Cute!
lol, I just think it's Babble trying to hold on
All I know is that this grid took me about 6 hours WITH the list...I woul;d not even bother doing it without...
and just where do you find 6 hours
Who would have thought that you could get addicted to 25 random letters????
Lack of sleep!!!! Of course!!!!
we all have our addictions. I give up after I have found 100 words ... call me a wimp!
Now I am going to get some sleep...finally...see you at the flip!
(wimp)
lol
night jae, nice meeting you
hey ruru
thanks runrocks ... I always wonder if someone is out there
hi judy
oh, you figured it out! good for you!
Hi all. I think I made a mistake by starting this grid.
judy, of course there are people out here. We aren't really figments of your imagination
nods head
be like me Carolryberg... walk away
but I can picture you FIGMENTS just fine, Nef
hi Carol ... set your own goal ... for me today is more than half and I'm at the halfway mark now.
Carol, it isn't a mistake to st***; it MAY be a mistake to finish! ;-)
I are a figment
oh and a lawyer figment, too! yippee
I'm gonna try for a while but not worry about fireworks. I like yesterday's better.
are you at work?
lawyer figments sound dangerous!
depends on one's definition of work
I am off today, but have lots to do.
hehehe was thinking the same thing, Nef
this is more fun than finding words... where are you all from?
I am from hunger.
NY but Bermuda is always on my mind lol
I'm off today too with much to do. DH will always find *something* I need to do too
well, when I worked, I was a teacher and never had time to play on a computer...too many teenagers to watch
Indiana
I am in Virginia

it is rather gray here today after a beautiful sunny day yesterday.
I have as6 projection, think floating spirits
or, as a + leaning
don't mind me, haven't hit the list yet.
I've gotta run. Places to go and things to do...Yey, lawyer ... get back to work!
so many phantom words today
no work until a conf. call at 12:30
so many non words too!
Too many words and too much to do. I quit at least for now. Bye!
20 more words and then --to work! (Gotta clean and do laundry, visitors coming next week!)
I am down to a much more 157 words to go
afternoon all - back again. This grid will NEVER end!

Im supposed to be working
Hi NB
Hi Mom and Muse! Mom...this is work!

Hiya, Flosey! great picture
thanks NB, haven't found a word in the grid to use today
oh much, Nef! it's so nice just to have someone else knocking around the flat again. And I finally managed to take a picture of him that he's happy for me to show people...I feel I've accomplished the impossible
really, Flosey? 377 choices :P
so where is it NB
lol, going to change now
it's uploading, in case anyone's interested in seeing it :)

I used to have a pet rat in high school
did I read SNOW? gd afternoon everybody
I'd love to see it too, NB. A rat? oh my!

rats remind me of Ben
hi mymuse

ooh thanks Flosey (and Mom!) - never would have got that one alone
thanks flosey..

oh, sorry, I don't deserve any more help *embarrassed* going into PB
yw

which one flosey I have two
one is used to illuminate and the other a toilet
la 7/28 - kind of old-fashioned light
thanks, Sally! well when I met him he was taken. I figured some things are worth fighting for! I feel bad about that to this day
la7 hint: light
one is a bathroom in the army
the darkness
Hi! oh my gosh - 377 words today. I'll never finish since I haven't even gotten started.
the first one ru, have the second one
the other is camping equipment for light
Oh Muse, it's a very well-behaved rat :)

oh, ruby had the word but didn't know what it was - that's the la8 I have - continuation from that la6
He had a girlfriend! You really were ruthless, weren't you!

Hi nan!!
Thank you Norma!
Well, there is still a lock down on flights in the UK and various other places in North Europe but a plane passed overhead about one and a half hours ago. I'm in the North of England, near Leeds. Anyone else seen one?
You are welcome
Not here in Wales Pat
we're on flight path here - and the past two days have been soooooooo peaceful!
they announced this morning that one plane got out of Prestwick bound for Toronto and a couple of flights landed in Manchester
Only planes that fly below 10,000 feet are flying aparently, my daughter and partner were supposed to go to spain at midday today they can't fly until Thursday now
why no planes? weather?
volcanic ash in the air
I hope they get home ok..Norma
no iceland had a volcano erupt
it's been quiter here too - i live on flight path for Washington Dulles International. Many fligts cancelled.
They never got there Boo ...
My niece was supposed to fly to Africa this morning, no news of when she can go
It is so disappointing when you save up all year for your holiday and then it is cancelled thru no fault of your own
our news was that of over 28,000 flights landing daily in European airports, over 17,000 had been cancelled
Some agencys are saying its an act of God and are not willing to pay compensation
It is on the news at the moment that we will have shortages of food that needs to be brought by air .. eg bananas and fruits with a short shelf life ... another excuse for the prices to go thru the roof
Oh, i didn't realize the eruption was affecting so much - just saw a blurb in today's paper, but didn't read it. I suppose I should have!
You are fortunate firefly the wind is blowing the ash away from you, it is covering most of Europe
I feel for all those that are stranded abroad possibly running out of money
they said last night they were hoping it wouldn't set of a larger volcano which would cause even more trouble
Hi everybody :) They have opened the airspace over Ireland, so hopefully things are coming back to normal
clue for in 8 pls
hi soodle
The insurance companies are claiming An Act of God.. any excuse to get out of payment
in 8 is in + er 6
Hi soodle lets keep our fingers crossed
thank you bichon...i didn't have that one either
Its bizzare! We have really clear blue skies here.
ty bichon
lets hope they stay that way soodle
i count myself very fortunate Norma - sorry for all those affected by this natural disaster
yes -- it was reported that flights were getting in and out of Ireland
And we do Soodle but the ash is so high up that the planes cant risk it
ty bichon
With all our technology etc etc, an Act of God can really cause major disruption, and nobody can do a thing about it!
boats
ra
borai
rals
17 more and I am going to list
ras
Oh I am so sorry.
better to ground them though than risk anyones life
Yesterday, it was sooo quiet -I live about 1.5 miles from Leeds/Bradford Airport. But it has never bothered me so I guess we are not in the landing and take-off path. The scary bit was hardly no birds to be seen or heard yesterday and a subdued dog. Although how it's possible to tell if a Labrador is subdued I haven't the faintest. Stop and within seconds he's at rest or asleep UNLESS you are packing food then he just begs and begs with huge sad eyes. The cats, well I wouldn't ever know what they are thinking except, once again, FEED ME! FEED ME!
thats ok soodle -- no words there -- but change last letter of the 5
news just said scottish and irish flights may resume @ 7pm
LOL Soodle
Thanks Soodlebum. Who needs newspapers or TV?
That is really good news Dippnall
well I must move my body...or I may never move. Have a good day/night all. see you later
yvw Barb's
Bye Barb see you soon
anene
The skies are clear and blue and it's a lovely day here too so maybe the ash plume fallout are gone West.
I know this is very trivial compared to all of those who are ash affected, but it's damned cold here. It's only 50 F out and I just put on a second sweatshirt
nah, it's 82 outside.
bichon I never class cold weather as trivial lol
got you beat at 39 degrees
back to winter coat today
A week ago it was 95 F here in the nE and now it's very cold again. Hate April
snow on my car this morning
still spitting snow
Its colder in the house than it is outside :(
do these te's never end
I'm only missing one.
beautiful 70F and sunny here
Mom, where in NH do you live, in the mountains?
I know how you feel Bichon but the way our weather is we could be frezing tomorrow. I'm sure I heard a ground frost warning earlier. Never can tell here. In fact they were warning of snow a few days ago. Plays havoc with your wardrobe. Sometimes my style is 'YES I DID get dressed in the dark'.
no - just west of Concord
We are enjoying our second day of sunshine (and today it actually feels warm) after a week of spotty snow interspersed with two really nasty, though short, storms. It felt more like March, which is more than March did!
You did hear it Pat
I had to defrost my windscreen this morning!
it was perfect weather for tennis last night. I won my match!
congrats mixi
I was in West Wales last week ,very windy but if you found a sheltered spot it was really warm, I even started a light tan!
ty.
Got to make a meal now. Congrats mixi. Keep warm Bichon and Soodle..
Bye Pat see you soon
See ya Pat.
First match I have won. Thanks all.
Congrats mixi, see you in Wimbledon next
95 to go and sooooooo stuck
not quite, but it fun and good exercise.
Go nan go!!
mixi I played when I was a LOT younger but I dont have the breath to play anymore
can't believe it ! -- just listed and I had found all the ae's!!!

hello everybody
just watched the news and the airport closings are amazing.
I think we are far enough south not to get any ash but Paris is closed
Hi Becca and ruby
hello caitlyn
and it's still a little bit chilly here, but not bad. Lots of flowers!
hi becca

Oh I have just seen the time..........I should be in the kitchen getting some supper see you tomorrow, bye all
first an 5/10?
Still here Rubes.....
hello nan
hiya!
hi ruby
bye caitlyn
finally got on the sowblitz and tried it out -- moves too fast for me -- didn't realize it was more like a scrabble game
an + *** Palmas
much prefer lexulous
or scramble
Hiya Ruby - how are you surviving the volcanic ash?
which room do you play in, nan
ty bichon
no ash yet....
on scramble one of the 2 long words rooms
nan, if you'd like to play a regular scrabble game with me, we could
I'm nelliekelley
in lexulous
ok -- next week sometime?
yup! we'll work out a time
This flipping grid is KILLING me.
16 left
it is so big, I've been on it off and on 3 times and still only have 194 words!
that mixi is amazing!!!!
same her soodle - thought I'd get lots of words more quickly
hi dipp
lickety's helped a lot.
hi ruby - how's things in la belle france?
Wed or Fri -- around this time is good for me. I'm busy on Mon, Tues, Thurs mornings.
tres belle!
OK nan, I'm writing down this time (12:30 where?) here it/s 7:30 ish
fantastique!
try an obscure room like "flushing meadow"
clue for la 8 pls
12:30 US central time zone.
la + ****ager + hesitation ending
is it a date, nan?
10:38 am here -- live in BC
that works, 7:30PM for me, flushing meadow, nelliekelley
la6/18 is the beginning of the 8
yes, but let's confirm next week! -- memory is good, but short!
I think it's a kind of sail
I wrote it down, can barely remember my street address lol
which day and are we playing lexulous or scramble? --don't we have to add each other as friends for lexulous?
lexulous and no, it is open to all once you join (free)
or are you talking lexulous.com?
wed or fri, all the same to me
no wait, wed is better, we may have a houseguest on friday (aaaarghhh)
ok -- let's see what kind of grid we get here on Wed. -- if it isn't too big we could play on Wed.
lexulous.com
excellent
Let us know how the pair of you get on :)
sowpods blitz is where I usually play, 4-minute games, just against the clock
it's a good game, but the chat time is only 1 minute between games
in the other rooms, you set your own time and can play any length game you like
the only problem is that there are male stalkers which can get pretty weird
clue for ll 5
is it welsh, boo?
bo 7, please?
A place of detention Nan. For minors.
bo 7 a british reform school for young people
ah yes, there was a movie, Bo***** Boy
I always thought that was capitalized!
yes, une
have no idea

re 8, please?

don't think there is an re8?
sorry -- ro 8?
have a pl re7 though
you are right - there is a 7 but no 8
ro8 - with a p in front, you'd be flat on the ground.
ro + it rhymes with the ******** of Gibraltar
spelled differently tho
hi there Haz!
ty aloy -- been monkeying around that for the last 20 minutes!
I'm working hard on an os4, lol
Hello, Aloy and everyone - just passing through. Enjoyable grid!
ooh, got it (-:
agree, Haz.. biggie too
Phone...
I don't know how someone who studied music as long as I did can keep missing that so 6 every time it shows up!
Hi Haz, Yes it is a fun grid even tho I need 108 more.
hah.. found Dolly's last name.. (-: pa6 surprise
... and you can pl it too, nice bonus
I know, but at least most of the words are normal in structure.
thank goodness! imagine how long it would take to do a grid of 300 or so "weirdo words"
That's nightmarish!
.. still working on a grid "rating" scale
.. would have nothing to do with how big , or how quickly you finished it, just with .. what did it take to find all the words
did you get a headache or have a seizure?... tough rating on that one
how many cookies did you consume? .. etc, etc
fun to think about
Must go, husband needing computer. Enjoy the rest of the day and the grid. Bye for now!
did you throw the laptop against the wall?
ty for stopping bye.. see you next time, Haz
that is a good one, kje! hi
ahoy aloy!
Bye Haz, Hi kje!
hi annie!
bottom of the foot warts alert
well, that is a new alert - LOL
huh?
pl7 fasciitis....

pl7 warts
pl7 is a farmer!

I didnt get that - prostate? prosthesis? prosfessional? pro - commit me!
it sounds like the first one
just noticed my right column is grayed - yahoo!
back. again. managed to cut myself on some broken glass - most inept bartender ever?!
ro + not in a line (spelled funny_
(((hugs))) you OK NB - need stitches, need TLC
ty
(((Mom))) just fine - got sent to A&E so have a long wait ahead. Should be fine though, just a bit of a fuss over nothing!
broken glass and cuts are NOT nothing - need to take care of that *kissing booboo*
it always makes my kids feel better
and since I have virtually adopted you.....
finally got that ro8 - brain mailfunctioned for a few
still not getting the ro8
congrats Mom
LOL, Mom! Can't remember the last time I had an injury called a booboo...suddenly feel about five again :D does this mean I get a lollipop too?!
(sorry for lack of speed - typing with one hand!)
only thanks to you guys boo
hey everyone! Fireworks! that was a heckuva grid! Fortunately, I have beer and the stanley cup playoffs to revitalize me :D
Go Hockey!
*Peeling wrapper and sending to NB*
yeah! go hockey!!
would you like a sticker too
I just love the sport, don't have a favorite team
clue for the sa4/4
congrats smooth pappa
woohoo pappa
sa + double consonant
SA + Double stick letter
I do have a favorite team, but they aren't that good right now... and I don't live near them, so I don't get to watch them very often... But I'm a St. Louis Blues fan through and through
sa + double cons
Mmmmhmm, and a teletubbies plaster ;) although I think they're called band aids in America. Or that might be something else entirely!
you got that right - teletubbies???? Do I need to worry about you NB?
clue for the at6 please
LOL. Looks like it'll probably be a boring cotton bandage. Ugh, it is still bleeding at an impressive pace though!
what color tubbie would you prefer?
My hometown has a minor league team that I am partial to
AT + ** top of old smokie + I need **l the help I can get
it's a muscial term
what part of your hand NB - keep holding pressure on it
duh - thanks pappa
oddly enough it's gone straight across my lifeline. Hope that's not an omen!
yeah - A's are done
no prob
thanks, pappa, I got that too :)
of course not - most common area to cut - just keep that pressure while waiting for the doc
brb - need a beverage
I got a nasty cut across my palm a couple of years ago... that one bled bad, too. And it's such an easy place to iritate too. It tok a while for mine to completely heal
last ne5/10?
NE + I studied the liberal a***
rhymes with car rental h*****
ty
that's the problem, Pappa - if I close my hand into a fist to keep pressure on it, the way the cut moves completely turns me over. I'm not good with blood - having to hold my hand above my head, to the amusement of everyone else here ;)
hey babble!
hello, smooth-papa
hi BR
howDy, Boobear
hello all
hi, Peri!
hi there BR, have not seen you in a while. How are you?
smooth, is that you in the picture?
ok, down to 50... will be back later to finish
when I cut mine, I was working for a pharmacy at the time. I was at my apartment, and on my way to ork when it happened... so I ran back up, and used some peroxide to clean it, but I was out of bandages... so I took some paper towels, wrapped my hand in that and drove across town to work, where I was able to get all the bandages I needed.
soory to hear about your hand, NB. hope it heals quickly
Hi peri! yup, that's me!
nice picture, smooth, nice to place a face with a name. that is me in my photo too
thanks! I did that with a self timer, and if you look at it larger, it's a little out of focus, but a thumbnail doesn't look to bad.
how did you do it, Pappa? you must be pretty good with blood and like - I don't think I'd trust myself to drive!
Thanks, Peri ;) gets me off work!
I realized that I'd never really used a picture o myself in a profile, and when I came back a couple months ago, I decided to use this one
Work is done, back to the grid.
Pappa - you would be my daughters dream mentor - photography and the arts
* Why do most people have trouble obtaining blood transfusions in Taiwan? * Because they only have Taipei.
oh man! nancy, that's a bad question... it's a little scary to think about. I was throwing a bag of garbage into the dumpster in my parking lot, slipped on a patch of ice, and when I fell towards the dumpster, I reached out to keep from falling, and grabbed a sharp edge on the dumpster. I should have probably gone to the hosipital to make sure it was really disinfected... but I id use a lot of peroxide, so I figured , at the time, it would be enough.
NB - take a few days off and be babied for the weekend by leo
LOL BR!
lol thanks mom :)
thats what she wants to go to college for - photography first and arts second
fortunate for you = you are far away
pappa - hope your tetanus was up to date - dumpster - ewwwww
clue for so 7 pls
still dont have that one boo
r
Heh... I went to school for something completely unrelated to photography and the arts. this is something I happened to be good at, and found a job in, at a time when most hiring was frozen in the areas I did study
so 7/44-what tofu is made of
Eww! oh yes, wish I hadn't asked now ;) I feel like a bit of a baby for coming to A&E (I think that's ER in the US) but work made me. And I'm too much of a sissy to stand up without passing out!
SO7: It's a food crop... another word for it is edemame
when I had a bad cut, I mean...not generally.
Im just worried she wont be able to find a job in that field but you know = she needs to go into what she loves so I will help her anyway I can
HA! that's a nice clarifier, nancy... now I have this image of you, just faling back fown very time you stand up. :P
sounds like a plan, Mom :) except I get babied by Leo all the time anyway, LOL
help....... (whine) need a clue for the 2nd la 7/28
and mom... very few people are fortunate to make a living selling their artwork... but there are other fields that can be quite profitable using those skills
93 left....hi NB long time no talk....I've been travelling alot hope this finds you and Leo well!
sammy: it's another word for toilet
hi again. May I whine a bit? We just had some minor work done on the car and were told we need some major work done. :-(
thanks papa
sammy - its an army toilet
Hi, MPitt! Thanks for asking, Leo and I are both great :) where have you been travelling?
Mom: for example, I do fine art photography, but I could never make a living at it... now, a substantial part of my income comes from doing product photography for a catalog
Hi Nef... I'm sorry to hear it!!
found the so7
maybe photo journalism
ugh, Nef, that's how they get you! I'm so glad I don't have my car anymore...don't miss it; don't need it!
A lot of artists also find nice work doing things like web design o other graphic design... though photojournalism would be a fun one to pursue!
pictures generally have a close resemblance to what the camera is aimed at.
she was just accepted into a special art festival for high school juniors at the NH Institute of Art - hopefully they can introduce her to many areas of her art
hello everybody
hi, Jac!!
Hello, jacq
Generally, babble... though what I've been trying to focus on lately, in my own art, is using a photograph as a canvas to really create the visual concept I have in mind
Boo can you give us a clue for that so7
heya NB and BR
well, good luck to her, mom!
hey jac!
hello smooth pappa
she has been painting from her photos to expand her art base
whoops, looks like I'm being called in - wish me luck and no stitches! night all x
thanks pappa
good luck NB
stitches? is he ok?
good luck NB!
the best NB - again (((hugs)))
NB cut his hand on glass while bartending today
he cut his palm on some glass, jac
(catching up with chat, here) Hey, smooth_, last time I saw a picture of you you had long hair! I like the look! :-)
thanks nef! yeah, cutting that hair was the easiest way I've ever lost 5 lbs. ;) I cut it about a year ago, or so.
how bad is the cut, NB?
bad enough to go to the er. :/
ouch
across his palm - just got called into to the emergency room
you type fast too pappa
lol.... but often with typos. ;)
he got to use a laptop in hospital??
In January husband and I cruised 7 days to bahamas, then drove up to Killington Vermont for another 7, then March 7 went to Outer Banks, NC for two weeks. My mom and I took off for California March 23, cruised to Cabo San Lucas March 25-29 then back to San Diego and Hemet California then flew home April 7, then hubby and I took off to our motorhome at a summer place in Lake Anna, Virginia...whew...that's alot....
Well, if he cut it at work, he was probably required to go in?
got to get supper for my son - school dance tonight - and he will be looking pretty suave at 13
no his phone
probably Nef, they will need to cover their backs
life is tough, MPitt! ;-)
see ya mom!
i didn't know we could use phones in hospital either
they did make him go but it is a good thing as he said it was still bleeding pretty bad
be back soon
bye, Momn
i always hae trouble with the easy ones- like the na 5/10??
yes nef but someone must do it LOL I think we are setting an example for retirement life LOL
Well, I got all spiffied-up for my picture ... lots of peeps were surprised
it's a word relating to birth.
it's part of the pr8, sammy
thanks
did they recognise you BR?
1st as 6/18?
ru add conns. to as5/10 before it
A + the rear part of a ship
yes, even though my beard is quite a bit shorter now
whoops... sorry, mine was for the second
I need the first as please
clue for st 8 pls
ru.. oops that was the sec. a + slight lean
1st AS 6/18: A + if you are not standing on level ground, it is S****ed
thank you
ST8: S + what comes out of your eye when you cry + to consume food in the past tense
boo...to drive a car you must st*** it + PT of eat
this clue was up before, but I didn't get the second part
does the PT mean something other than the abb.
hey so how bad is this one? endurance test or nightmare?
*past tense*
PT is just "past tense"
Hi TO not bad at all...fairly straight forward
endurance test, TO.. nothing all too terrible
okay...thanks pappa!
tx papa
no prob, guys
I think people are cluing misspelled words which is throwing me off
well then we'll see when i return from dinner. probably won't play today
and glad to know that I am not much out of the babbleverse loop
however, i do see the phantom "inertial"
am I guilty mizhoff???
happy babbling! *poof*
like the army toilet - it's not in the puzzle, spelled the right way
yeah, it happens from time to time...
I hate to offend, but yes Mpitt, but you weren't the first one...st***ing a car has a double vowel that are the same
but people are cluing as if they are..which makes it hard to find it...sorry, I am a huge stickler for spelling and grammar.
can someone help with the bo7/36 please and thanks
y problem is that I can spell, but I am really bad at making typos... from time to time, when I am working a grid early in the morning... before work and before coffe... I have tried to enter word two or three times, but keep typoing it. :0
I am totally guilty of the typo, but I don't have time of day or lack of caffeine to fall back on! :)
BO 7/36: A dry story BO*es me to death + Old, hard , and dry bread is ****e
I always seem to start something here without the intention of offending, but it seems to come out that way.
lol... the fun of the internet... inflection and intent can be completely subjective, depending on who's reading it.
thanks smooth_pappa got it
Now, I must get the waking kiddos from nap. Happy babbling and good job to all that finished this massive puzzle and good luck to all who are still going at it
No kidding, Smooth!
I know there have ben times I've typed an email with what I thought was pretty apparent sarcasm and jest, but it didn't get received that way.
see ya miz!
I don't care how you clue the word as long as I get it LOL
:D
Sorry miz...I am usually quite good at spelling and grammar but the clues are done quickly and usually people playing the game pick up the clues quickly but we don't fret over much here...it's all about the fun so no offense taken...glad to bring it to my attention...but it will probably happen again as we are typing so fast and furious esp on this big grid...
And like Miz... I to must be off... have a good night, all!
am off to soak in the tub and finish my wine
am off to soak in the tub and finish my wine have fun and fireworks all
bye miz...don't fret over the small things in life it's all ok!

Hi Trif
fibro is tough - just hang in there
peri, just monkeyed the other... rhymes with a synonym for land
I live in British Columbia yes mom
bon soir, Une
go that one too, ty Doren
funny you should mention the illegal grass...was just saying the other day that I should become a grower of the medical kind. I live wayyyy back in the woods, but have a large cleared area. Could make a fortune!
nope, scratch that peri.. it's a homonym for land.
Une, are you leaving us?
my sister has had it for 15 years but she uses the illegal grass...I can't tell my son no and then I use it even for medical reasons...and then I am allergic to that to
you would have many many friends trif

mine got bigger from throwing all the hay around...lol...and they say working out makes them smaller
mind you, my thighs, hips, and bum are now "well endowed" too. And the poochy tummy we are not even gonna DISCUSS
shhhh
I am right there with you trif...you are not alone in all of that
anyone want a clue or two before i detach from computer?
I have gotten sort of fond of my little tummy. it lays next to me when I sleep. like a puppy.
keeping you warm
lol... I like that discription..may i borrow it for an reason sometime
No, thanks, Doren. 158 to find and list helps somewhat.
list helped enormously, and then a couple of morewords finds
LOL - I actually borrowed it from anne lamott, one of my favorite writers of all time!
wow there are so many silly flies on my front deck...guess they like the warmth too
I love Annie Lamott's writing!
I know! I want to be her best friend.
ditto :-)
keep thinking i see the word national and lateral..but nope not there
ugh, this is so frustrating! I walked away from the grid for a good chunk of time, and all I enter now is met with "you have already entered...." Feh.
"boast" and "roast" are my big phantoms today. feel like I have typed them 100 times
i get that alot too..and then poof one I misssed
College nephew is home.
have you been on the dreaded p's yet - yikes - ugh....
whoop - just found a word!
maybe we should have chicken chunks , mashed potatos, and some sort of veggie
uh oh scrab
frozen corn - my kids love that
You are making me hungry, mom! LOL
Not an uh, oh, mnh. He has lived with me since he was 16 and he is 22 now.
okay. might go get the list. sigh
would be amazing to do such a big grid without one, though....
just thinking you would need to leave - but college kid - you are safe for awhile - and good for you taking him in
Nothing else would get done that day, and there would be lots of begging.
sorry phone rang...my mom...back again...corn would be good
yes, prob you are right, scrabbler.
okay. got the list. right away, another 8, which somehow hid from me all picking day. I think my biggest problem is that I don't tend to pay much heed to the list of words I have entered, and thus miss a lot of obvious plurals and extensions. DUH
I am working on the ta's----such a long list.
i only have 2 of the 8 letter words and only 6 of the 7 ones
same here, scrabs . . . endless
Im right there with you trif - working on pr's now
I have only 4 of the 8s
can help with some barb
oh thanks mom but not sure yet which I am even missing...I have the in one and a pr one too
groan . . . missing ONE t and can't find which one it is . . . aaarrrggghh

I used to be like that, BH. Now I do not drink at all.

Snow in Spring?
we did - had to brush off an inch to go to work today
very very little for me maybe 1 or two in a year if that
We are supposed to get snow this weekend.
big flakes fell through the rain drops all day - very weird
((hugs)) all round ((poof))
ugh. they mentioned the possibility of it coming this way on the news tonight, and my heart sank
so7 anyone?
talking snow here tomorrow too - softball already got cancelled
Night Barb. By the way the PT word is a any of various compounds that contain the bicyclic ring system characteristic of ???
let me know when you get that one scrab - I need it
hmmm - dont think I would ever get that
pt ring system? barnum?

wow I am amazed my friends g.f is doing the Oxfam walk
think I will start from the bottom of the list now - veriety is the spice....
Hi Red and anyone else I missed
what is the oxfam walk
hello red
Oxfam is a very well known English charity, worldwide - but obviously not in the US
ooooh! with 200 left, I now have one gray tile!
Hi Herin, Mm TO...whats up?
go red go
sorry to say I have not heard about that lynxxx and herin
THis is the OXfam thing http://tinyurl.com/yjmrx8a The teams walk 100k in 48 hours
hi again. Oxfam IS known in the US, but I've only heard of it as a charity to donate to, didn't know there was a walk.
We know Oxfam.
100K in 48 hours? Wow!
are all the i's in- ?
help, I am stuck in the re words
p's packed! whew!

Yes Hursh
I said to him tell her she is barking mad but they are doing on awesome job.
peri, I Do have that! Used to make cheese
I saw them up in the hills yesterday
any idea which one i might be missing? :)
ty Nef

well, i am under 200 now...
Go red.
hi all
hi pk
i started this at 6 am then quit
Thank u for teh IN 8 clue
HI PK
back now and keep entering words i forgot i entered this morning!
hi pk
hi pk, how are you?
PK is that your pup?
hi red, lynx, herin and mom! yes herin, that's my boy Sonny
what sort of Pup?
good red! how's it going?
he's a greyhound
good, big grid!
cute.
yes, he's a handsome boy, thanks for noticing :)
pk, I thought your dog was a skunk! :-)
Lynxx has a Grey hound. I thought the pic was a penguin
he has a very cute but handsome face
pfft - greys don't stink!
red, we talked long ago about my going to nursing school -- i am now taking prereqs for a program that starts spring 2011
that would be a funny looking and large skunk nef
so true lynxx -- one of their good qualities
good for you, pk! The reason I thought it was a skunk was the icon is so small
WOW PK that is fantastic
Oh Excellent Pk!
how's your boy lynx?
question..... did anyone less than superhuman finish this monster?
i thought it was a skunk too!
I'm going to finish it.
several have jmb.
silly question jmb -- all the finishers are superhuman!
he's great, getting cool so enjoying having his coat to rug up in at night
how many left red?
(i will not be one of them)
i got 26 to go and has been working it on and off for 11 hours
188.
LOL lynxxx
Aack .. 377? ..
panal
ooooh sorry
hi Tor
I plan on finishing if I can stop faffing about
Hi Torg
some finished first thing this morning - course their time difference was there but.....
i have 148 left & i am weary of it all
greyhounds are soooo warm
hi tor - good luck
well I had a 12 hr break of it, did 177 in the am then went to work.
I think they are beautiful, but I don't have the energy to have one
I was out all day yesterday. I went out came home ate then went out again
yeah but Stew doesn't like my feet tucked under his tummy too much
Wow, red! I'm impressed!
the morning part was the easy part.
get an older one Nef, they are amazingly lazy
THis is good that I can actually have the internet keep up with my speed of typing
Nef Nef - no energy required, just a fenced yard. You have to drag them off the couch to take them for a walk
got a new foster this week, she's 10
Teulu is starting to get a bit lay and I am quite appreciative.
lazy that is...
Awww Pk.
a forever foster pk?
well, my little 11 pound shit-poo thinks a walk around the yard IS a lot of exercise
Red is Teulu still as quirky as every thoug?
i thought maybe lynx, but someone is interested in adopting her
I had a shitpoo before Stew and he was much more active
yes, he is, but he's getting a wee bit oldish at 4...
if it works out, she will go there, and then i can get another old girl off the farm
PK are they ex racers or what?
yes, all ex-racers, but i have a soft spot for ex-racers who were then used for breeding
by the time they are done having puppies, they are so old most people don't consider adopting them
Lynxx so you used to have a floor mop?
Yes - we had only had smaller dogs before
older dogs require a lot of considerations
I don't care if I EVER see another letter T in my life!
i still have 28 T words to find!
me too. a slew of them. sigh.
Me too pk, at least!
I have 171 left....
163 here
down to 16 and ready to give up
you can do it mom!
mom's never quit!!!
15
Bah to the B words
167, Mom and I should race, Hee hee.
you would probably win
yes, i am now down to err, 166.
phantom parent
Can someone hang my laundry out please
go red go
that would be a good name for a band
what - "phantom parent"
which, phantom parent?
yes, and another phantom that is a band: pantera
I know that I shouldn't laugh but that is brilliant. Phantom Parent instead of dead beat dad.
my mind needs something to do while i am not finding words
PK i have their drum stick signed on my wall
sweet herin!
you realise that bludging here is not getting my washing up
the s's are slain! the s's are slain!!!!
awesome trif!
OK I am going to break down now and ask for clues - some may be easy ones and I assure you I will slap myself in the head if they are, so here goes
Ah ha ha ha! Love your Icon Trifs!
re5/10 first one please
Well, Mom , ia m waiting to pick up all clues. Down to 157 now.
thanks tor!
and hello!
dare I ask, is there a lickety today?
re + **t* boy
yes thank goodness
yes, red. there is a lickety list
thank god, got some time before I hit it but still.
thanks lb
yw
Trifs how is it all in your house?
r's routed!
well done, trif!
quiet. april vacation has begun. I am still laid up....moving better today, albeit sloooowly. and this big grid has not helped my productivity much!
o dear
on the plus side, herin, primo says please do friend him, if you would please
sounds like a big grid is what you need to stay quiet!
te6/18 fourth one - before the bird
My friend said 12 more days till spring break
OK, I now have 152 left and 4 gray boxes!
lol lbd - yes, the back will heal as the carpal tunnel sets in.
Ok i will do
hey I have 4 white boxes red
thanks love
Trifi, what did you do that you are laid up?
argh, the problem with these big grids is it slows down loading up all the words! grrr
was shoveling compost nef. Mr. Hate took our compost bin to our new house (grrr - who takes a compost bin?) but I made him leave the compost inside. I got a new bin on Wednesday and tore a muscle out of my hip shoveling the old compost into the new bin.
Mom if we combine. we can complete!
did you drag them over to another window red
Trifs I am looking at something on Primos FB page. I swear the train seats are teh same covers as our fabric ones
I have 10 minutes and it lights out in this house
go mom go!!!
WTF Trifs has he not got a spare $20 to by a new one gees
Wow, THAT is really weird: he's "attached" to a compost bin?
MNH, te6.18 you are looking for comes after niner
shall I email you my words red - hmmm?
I know, right? and I WAS THE ONE who went and got the other bin in the first place too! newsflash: mr. hate is a toooooool
nah, I am good, 144 now, Soon I shall get list, like when I have 100 or so left.
the universe loves me though - I went to the town recycling center, and the guy remembered me from when I was there before. when he heard what happened to my former bin, he didn't charge me for the new one! yay!!!
he certainly is a weird duck, Trifi. I'm glad you made him leave the compost, however.
I dont understand lb
does the recycling guy know mr. hate? maybe he'll double charge him!
NICE!
OK Trifs that is up there with me gaining custody of clothes pegs because the couple I lived with at the time couldn't decide who should get ownership
BBS; laundry calling again
I am not sure ldb.
eighter, niner, te****
he can't go to the one here anymore, anyway, and he is not a norwell resident anymore.
that was one. *slap*
oh, I had to count him out some clothes pegs, too, herin. cheap baaastid as we say in boston!
i read that as "he's not a norMal resident" and was going to say was he ever normal?
what a sad man Trif
i'm surprised he didn't want half the toilet paper! geez
we in normal norwell get that all the time, lbd
I am lucky to have escaped with my underwear
Or half the toilet seat .. He is half assed ..
Lol Torg
are you sure he didn't take half of them?
hey - I got custody of you guys, so it's all good
he was a cross dresser as well!?
yay!
Trifs I made my ex pay $40 for a $20 fan that he took
lol, herin!
ooh no I am slwoing down, 138 left and only 3 hours.
git 'r dun, red!
then there was the heater that my parents gave me. I had to photographically proof it was mine.
down to 10 - cant do it
I almost missed the hawaiian goose.
yes you can, MNH! just ask for the clues
yes you can MNH
that got me my nbt red
ert
I am going to have to list too, can't get past 51
last 2 te7's please
after the birds
te + double consonant + de pl***, de Pl***
I have a feeling I am missing a lot of Te words
lol Dawg - thanks
te + cross letter + **** retentive...aka mr. hate
LOL lbd!
happy to make you both laugh! :-)
got the second one - my french is not good honey - still thinking
think more fantasy island than french mom
it's what the little guy on fantasy island used to call out to Mr. Rourke, MNH
too funny - got it
and darn it I still need 133 wordies.

i've got about 55 minutes to clue.

long day, Nef?
* Why did Bobby Fischer marry a woman from Prague? * He was looking for a Czech mate.
LOL BR!!
it's my day off, lbd. DH and I were out looking at cars because ours is dying; and it's becoming more obvious he needs to use his handicap scooter more (and it doesn't fit in our car easily). PLUS, took the car in for a minor thing (lugnut was stripped) and found we need to do a LOT of work on it. PLUS the maker recall, with the failing subframe..... etc
you've been practising BR! hi
silly, BR
Love it, BR! Thanks! :-)
hi BR, how goes it?
yikes Nef!
ahhh, brain must be overwhelmed by all that, Nef. just kick back and relax.
Doing well, HT
