Yes we are in spring mode. Another five wheelie bins full of garden stuff to go to recycle (I live in a block of flats with quite large grounds round it). Sunny and dry for three days now.

a hard thing is to support her without enabling her. I want so much to beleive she is in recovery, but the history is so LOUD....she has to rebuild trust, and that is not an easy thing to do, either.

By the way, I think this is a good group that expresses gratitude to Lickety whenever we get the chance.
dutch oven. saute some diced onions until translucent. add chicken and brown until you're tired of waiting. add 1 cup of rice (white or brown) and 2 cups of water (or just enough to cover chicken). add a little salt if you want, enough paprika to color the water and whatever else you want to throw in. bring to boil, cover and put in a 350 oven for about an hour. that's it, folks.
i sliced chicken breasts into medallions and put them in a pan with worcester sa5 and balsamic vinegar until they were cooked and put them in a roll with salad and new potatoes which were quartered and covered in barbeque sauce and oven baked with extra side salad. my bairn loved it!

If I were a substitute teacher... none of the things I have done or said would be remarkable. So I know I have not overstepped the bounds really. Just didn't know what her expectations were for this first week, and plunged in too fast for her. I kinda get carried away when I am enthusiastic.

He doesn't seem to be able to deal with the fact that, unless you decide to go for a research post in a university, you have to start at the bottom - and make tea/coffee, and work your way up.
Having said that, even the research fellows expect the new one to to drinks duty.

Mine had to go thru a bad marriage, working a year nightshift stocking groceries at Walmart and decided college woudl be a great option.
Of course he had spent 6 years in the Coast Guard so had the GI bill to pay for college.
