At least with everything internal working she has a chance - my great niece has a small hole in her heart but they are not too concerned and will rescan her at 3 months

One of our friends in the Montreal area was 1 lb when he was born but turned out really well.
Permently blind as she has had a brain bleed. About 50 % but her brain is rewiring to the bits that work which is excellent. She is feeding too.

last d is another do; friends of ours just had a baby in March; major vessels of heart were reversed; they did open heart surgery when he was 1 week old at Riley's, and he is home alredy.... We have made such amazing strides regarding healthcare for babies!!!

my hubby has an uncle, who is now close to 70... he was a teeny over 2 pounds when born; they put him in shoe box, thinking it would be used as a coffin when he died... he didn't die either.... It truly shocks me just how tiny they are, and is such a miracle when they make it!

Sandy, he has one of the top surgeons and is in one of the top hospitals, and this op is considered routine now (quadruple or quintuple bypass) - but you can't stop worrying!

Moves me to tear every time I watch it. Utterly stunning voice that one has.
I was thrilled that she kept going and just enjoyed herself hugely. An audience at last.
The whole audience was laughing at her initially. I am hoping they all felt a little guilt about it. I am so impressed with the skill and tenacity of that woman!

Found this...What does the word "Kenai" mean? The exact meaning of the word "Kenai" is not real clear. The Dena’ina Athabascan Indians are the native people of the area. In the Dena’ina language, "Ken" translates into "big flat." "Ken’ey" means two big flats with a river cutback, and the word "ken’e" means trees and brush that are growing in a swampy marsh. I've been told it basically translates into "flat, barren land".
