well I can certainly believe it
you mean men actually have a mind
hubby's head hits the pillow and he's gone
lol rose
* hoot * westy
lol granny, hubby has a great one, but hits the pillow and is off
ditto here, but they just can't seem to follow a logical thought process through, teeth grinding at times
Do we actually have a mind? Hmmm . . . good question, considering how badly I'm doing with this grid! :/
* giggle jc
aww JC here's a hug

* sigh * bliss! and no, that's impetigo
hi everyone
LOL!! thank you rose!!
hi andree!! guess what???
hi Andree
hey andree, put your comfy shoes on, mrp and i have the 11th and 21st july all booked up
what mrp
we are meeting up with grannyrose (pretty please say yes and have the day free) on the 21st July for a get together at our house!
sprite love the icon, now i know what haz sees in george clooney, he 's holding hobbit' lol
she is free from 7am - 6.30pm on that day... so we could have a BBQ and do some fun stuff?
lol Andree, it's even better, he is holding Spangle!
Good morning/evening all - I love the icons as well - George and Spangle together are so handsome!
george is yumbo!!
hi haz
slip of the tongue, i said hobbit, its spange
hi Haz
Spangle is the most handsome of course
Hello there! Just opened up babble to see what the word count was and was intrigued with George's good taste in dogs.
but who drools the most, george or spangle?
I do rose
looked back rose , 11th at darling harbour, you can leave your bags in my car, i park at exhibition centre for free as my sister works there
hobbit is with Ata me believeth?
Spangle rarely drools and I'm sure any drooling around George is done by his admirers!
whoot, this holiday is looking better and better
Anyway, I'll be back shortly to tackle the grid, just wanted to say hello.
rofl, haz!!!
enjoy, Haz
ok andree!! who is meeting whom at what time and what location on 11th and 21st??
if you leave bags in my car i can drive you around to the boat when its time to go
you two sort it out and let me know. mind, i will keep you both posted closer to the date
so am I meeting you at the boat??
come into town with me mrp
oh no grannyrose, you are totally involved!!
ok andree... that is a thursday so no problem there
* backing away, avoiding eye contact* you sure?
21st is a Sunday, so have to make it a family day out
i will drive us into darling harbour mrp, we can have breakfast and then drive rose and mm to the boat
rose, you are gonna have such a good time with us!!
sounds perfect to me andree... what you think rose??
and i will keep 21 st free
I will come to your house andree, we can go in together... Rose, there is 2 of you??? and how much luggage you got, cause we either take the sedan or the 4WD
thanks andree!! You are a darling! Rose, we are spoiling you on the 21st!
if we take the bigger car mrp[ yours] i still get free parking at darling harbour
ok, will do andree!
lots of pickies and full tums, loads of lovely times together. just the 2 of us, mrp. one large siutcase for both of us, plus carry-on luggage. ( i don't leave my CPAP to anyone else's care except my own )
excellent! you will have the 4WD to drive you around! We are picking you up 11th, going out to brunch/lunch... then we will drop you to the boat... THEN!
* capering up and down the keyboard * are we there yet? are we there yet?
on the 21st, we will have a BBQ at my house! Lickety will pick you up and bring you to our place, after a tour around Sydney and it's sites! Andree will (hopefully please!) be there and we can have a lovely day, and you can have an afternoon sleep, before we drop you to the airport
so6 absolutely bl**** marvellous.
bloody marvellous all round!
i will be there and can do the airport run
oh you are a hunny bunch of andrees!!!
if anyone sees a flower that is andree like, please name it after her!!
Sprite, can we have a 'name your frind on babble with a flower' day??
friend even!
what all green and wrinkly, or pink and plump?
what do you mean by that, mrP?
Lickety has too many pink and plump things to say... but I reserve that information for now :D
just kidding andree, just kidding!
just wrinkly
sprite, if you have a babble friend, and could imagine them as a flower, what flower would you give them"
you gals are slaying me!!
mmmm ok, could be fun! Will put it in, mrP.
yep andree.... looking forward to the wrinkly! LOL (after 13 years of marriage, can't we just be friends?? LOL)
how is the divine terra sprite
I just realised, Andree looks like a very young Liza Minelli!! If Andree was dark anyway!
"02 Sep - If You Would Associate One Of Your Babble Friends With A Flower, What Flower Would That Be? (mrPresident)"
wonderful sprite!!
bbs, gotta do a report that is due in half hour
Andree: doing so very very well! First puppy course lesson yesterday and he did so fine, and so did i, lol. The teacher said we are a very good match.
bye mrp
bye mrP
i am sure you are sprite
oh, oh, oh, forgot to share something else with you all
share! Now!
my youngest son(josh) and fiancee ( jen ) have set their wedding day, well almost. her mother is working out the exact date which is most auspicious. her parents are chinese/timorese
congratulations, rose! May they have joy and happiness together.
it will be in oct/nov. and i'm making the wedding gown.
she´ll be looking so gorgeous
* groan * the tea ceremony will probably be about 1000hrs on the day, then followed by a civil service
are you allowed to sit on a chair during the tea ceremony, rose?
good news rose, how great you can make the gown, i am a sewer but would never attemp that
pickies on the beach, then a luncheon reception. and sure hope so, sprite
the first tea ceremony I attended, I was wearing jeans. All went well until it was over and I had to stand up. No way. Legs were gone the way of all pudding.
the weather should be lovely by then rose
andree. i'm known for attempting the impossible, and pullling it off, to everyone's surprise, including my own.
the ceremony will be at her parent's home in mt. martha. so should be just gorgeous
grannyrose, needless to say you can count on me to give any tips or advice you may need about sewing. (All written in comedy font) You're a brave woman!
my daughters wedding gown was nearly $3,000 so you will save a fortune
lol
and thanx for the head's up, sprite, will make sure i move my legs a lot during the ceremony
then you will be fine, rose!
lol, haz, will need lots of help from my babble friends, she wants gold lace for gosh sakes!
Hello again. Sounds lovely Rose, the Mt Martha area is lovely, is the reception down there too?
at the house, lun
hi lynxxx
* hun *
only advice I can give on tough stuff like that is: make it first with cheap fabric :) As a test model.
ahhhh! good one sprite, will do
Hooray! a wedding that doesn't cost half a house!
brb
later spritey
I think a lot of the wedding stuff is peer pressure - a kind of carry on from the days when you had to have the same trainers as everyone else, once you're grown up, unless you spend a fortune on the tiniest of details you're not 'in'. It's fuelled by wedding planners etc and has got out of hand.
especially when like my daughter the marriage doesn't last!!!!
Oh goodness, that's even worse!
rose my mother always sewed up a copy in calico before she attempted anything big
another good tip, thanx andree
my daughters birth mother paid for the gown , which i was very thankful for, still spent a fortune on the wedding, try not to think about it now she is divorced
haz, my son and fiancee have been in a de facto for 3 years, ( much to my dismay, but then i'm old-fashioned)
dinner ready back soon
Did you volunteer for the job, granny, or did the bride to be surprise you with the request to make the gown?
no, haz, i volunteered. ( wonder what my phsychologist will say?) just kidding!
I had a long lace jacket, my SIL lined it with a stiff voile type fabric. I imagine she sewed the lace onto the voile before assembling/connecting all the pieces
Like I said before, granny, you're very brave.
lyn, we are trying for a mix of traditional chinese and traditional western look
You're going to be designing the dress as well?
my son is only on an apprentice wage at the moment, and altho his father did promise some money towards the wedding, my guess is that with all that has happened lately, the offer has probably gone right out of his mind.
haz, going to look thru the pattern books and choose the best of each pattern
Well, it's going to be unique in that case.
not brave, haz, just silly as a wheel!
I wish you all the best with it, it's definitely not something I would ever tackle (for which my daughters will be profoundly grateful)
jen has a fair idea of what she wants. ( remember we have to satisfy 2 cultures ) should be interesting, to say the least
rose, please please please put a pic on of the result?
goes without saying, spritey
:D
just realised I don't know many Z words.
I got a word!
woooot lyn!
I don't know enough of them.
at this moment I know 2 words less than I would like
Probably the same two that i would like to know.
which 2? maybe i can help.
hah! Greyed. Thanks, ZpiritZ!
gooooo sprite
one of mine had a different 2nd letter. The other one built on the animal one.
chat frozen or just quiet?
Just quiet and wrestling with letters.
good, no restarting or rebooting needed then. Finally getting the hang of this grid. Not a real easy one!
ditto, actually got a bit of a run going - but I have a hell of a lot to go
No, it needs a firm talking to.
"Hey you letters, get in line and fast!"
Yes, kind of 'you know it's best to cooperate - you want to grow up to be words, don't you?'
you are one helluva parent, Haz
It's all in the tone of voice.
you mean that cat'o'nine'tails in yourhand has nothing to do with it?
Well, it helps.
hm ok *eager student*
heh George Clooney day. Hazaurus must be 'eggstatic'
Thrilled is the word, Lori. Thrilled.
thanks for that very intimate image, Lori! And hi.
Looking at the George C ad right now...for the Nespresso coffee pods. He is rather nice isn't he
He's everywhere! Bet 'yer house gets dusty today. :D
Lori!!!
Oops, that was rude. G'd Morning Babblers!
I can't help myself. Every time I see a photo I just sigh.
Good morning, Lori!
At first blush these letters looks sneaky.
I think you're right, Lori.
they are, Lori
lyn, what I like about those ads is the non-macho look :)
I was watching the 1st of the Billy Connelly tour of Canada series Lori - on Nova Scotia. What a funny lot you are
We try! :)
Sounds like it'd be worth checking out.
Billy Connolly or George?
heh ... both
this is not a nice grid after all
hi rolin, not very friendly is it
hi Rolin
hey lynxxx
G'd morning rolin. I'm still at the somewhat optimistic stage aka the start
this grid is so easy, rolin, I fully expected you to have it down yesterday
lol
babrab.... its a good thing youre so far away... i can be provoked to violence you know..lol
hi BabRab
lori..hold onto it...as long as you can
Hello, lyn
but I will not complain, with my epitheton ornans, the biblical bad place, the yummy food and the almost mushroom(s).
"..... of the men working on the chain.....gang...."
We could have a 'This grid is so easy' competition. This grid is so easy that Dr-G nearly didn't include it for fear of insulting our intelligence.
lets get this party started
Have enough 'this grid is so easy' entries and arriving babblers will be lulled into a false sense of security.
or so easy it put BabbleRabble's pet rock in a coma.
This grid is so easy that Spangle couldn't even be bothered to start.
I was most pleased to find that all of the c words began with c
This grid is so easy that ALL ofthe words start with the letters they're supposed to.
This grid is so easy that the moment I looked away, a leftover split pea fireworked for me.
all of them? Tsk, couldn't you have told me earlier?
Good morning. You guys are kidding about this grid aren't you? I'm getting a serious inferiority attack here.
I told you it was easy!
Eva, we are seriously kidding
hi Eva
You mean you don't find it easy, Eva? Good morning.
yesterday's grid was the first really fun one in a while.
sigh..68 left..BBS I need to get some dinner going
Haz, from someone as precise and intelligent as you, could I please get a clearer definition of easy next time?
bye lyn, glad to have seen you!
69 left here
E A S Y - Every Aspect Simply Yummy
down to 16 and battling
ah! Now that makes sense. Thanks Haz.
ok sprite...this epitheton...is definitely a pi5/14?
what is an epitheton please?
It can apply to recipes as well.
it is, rolin. It means godfearing
oooooohhh...ok..ty
Eva: epitheton ornans: a word that is always connected to a certain name, whether it is relevant in the context or not. Like pi5/14 with Aeneas.
i cannot believe the sn8
my final S word: what an actor must read before playing a movie sc5, but drop the last letter.
which one, rolin?
fascinating sprite. Not that I understand the connection between th3e pi5/14 and Aeneas. I connect it with popes and religion.
either one...i only have 2...is there more?
Vergilius calls Aeneas always pi5/14. Whether the guy was praying or cursing.
I have 3 rolin-but one is a plural
there are 3 of those
so do i....now..
that is why it is called an epitheton ornans: it is only used as ornament, the meaning is gone from the word.
this grid is a real do 6
thats a great reference i shall remember sprite
me too
*grins evilly* Indeed so, BabbleRabble, indeed so. How many nano seconds do I have left for the last 14 words?
you have been given a dispensation for being so pi 5/14
ah! That is great. Always knew my kind of religion would pay off.
sprightly firewords. Anything I can clue before I go?
na8&9?
Congratulations sprite!
well done, sprite
na + systematically arranged body of knowledge, drop first vowel. Plural for the 9.
na+ mispelling of what you have 5 of...pl
thanks rolin!
and sprite

yw. Bye all, have fun!
Bye sprite!
bye sprite
bye sprite
I've just realised that both elements of British currency are present.
they are indeed haz
Things only started to get expensive when they abolished shillings.
ooooh is that the time..damn...i better get my act together and get to work...
bye all
Bye rolin, have a good day at work.
I should take a break - even though this grid is terribly easy I still haven't found all the words. I'll be back later. Happy George day in the meantime!
Last two and just not seeing them - re 5/14 and re 6/24 - any clues please
re5/14 - shorthand for the type of scouting expedition undertaken for spying out the land.
r plus a double helping of a consonant sandwiched between two vowels and then plural. Now I'm really gone!
Thanks Haz how could I have been so stupid
Not stupid at all! Well done on fireworks and bye for now.
haz, could you reclue that re5/14 plz....can't get it myself

they are used to my typing,so dont worry zozz
trying to, Cait. Sister is coming to stay for the rest of the week though, so there goes all that time!
Is she any better these days, or have you got to be nurse Ata this week ?
she's actually relatively well at the moment, hence she can manage the train journey down (though I'm driving her back up at the weekend). So hopefully *cross fingers* we'll actualy get out and about a bit. She wants to go to Leeds Castle, and Canterbury. And she even wants to come and walk the pup with me!
Good morning. Is it just me, but I'm having trouble getting into this grid.
Thats great news Ata fingers crossed that you 2 have a great few days
Hi Merk
I'm hoping! I'll still be in and out of babble, so I'll give you updates
moring merk..i too am finding it not easy, but then i have just woken up..lol
it's not ideal
Ok Ata
leeds castle is the best
And it's still 4:30 here in Oregon with no coffee yet ... that certainly does not help!
Leeds Castle is *great*
Hi hurshy
hi

na 9/66 hurshy
a letter between a and z. my best guess.

no whiskey now mr orner!
they remade charade, did you know this? mark wahlberg in cary grant's role. i expressed horror, and husband says, "mark wahlberg isn't that bad an actor, and cary grant wasn't that good" !!!
grace kelly is an amazing beauty and so fantastic an actress!
cary grant is all that... mark wahlberg is et al
now i want to see one of those melodramatic b grade horror movies from the 60,s with vincent price:)
ooooh, they have vincent the week after!
seems to me a statement like that ought to be grounds for divorce...
crossy loves vincent
I am willing to pay for tv because of foxtel. We don't have to pay for TV, like many countries do, unless we want the extra stuff. It amazes me that european countries have had to pay for 'free' TV for so long!! such a ripoff
what do you mean hurshy??
how about ray milland and grace kelly in dial m for murder? I love that movie
didnt know europe had to pay for TV!
what my husband said re: wahlberg/grant

hi haz..Annie
hello haz

hi carlee
Hello there! We've no chance of any sun today again.
this is going on more then a year of no sun.....or so it seems
it is nice and sunny here haz, although windy
Tell me no more, zozz. It's too depressing.
sorry :-)
The weather map yesterday just had Northern Ireland hidden under what seems like permanent rain.
bit of snow just on the hill only carlee..our trees are getting buds as well
sunny and 20C here today too..mind tomorrow through to sunday..rain...
*looks out at blue skies and sunshine*
leaves have popped....we have "shade trees" again
If I cried I'd only add to the moisture..
we have had 3 days of cold, drizzly rain and today the sun is trying to peep through, finally
you are cruel ata..LOL
well im off tommorow so it can piss rain all day...funny,those who work outside all day dont care if the weather falls apart on the days off and with the office drones its the opposite;0
just took woofie out... she loves chasing the cat, who is chasing wallabies!!
it was vaguely cloudy this morning, if that helps
Yes, it does.
how does a cat front up to a wallaby?? what a weirdo!
Was wondering who Woofie was
probably feels like a lion..hahaha
woofie is vixie, my shetland sheepdog
whenever I hear wallaby..i think of shoes
my cat is 14 and has dementia!
Back shortly, must go and get a paper.

I am so looking forward to the Australia vs Bahrain game in football in sydney in the next month... I have my darling Secretary coming with me... he is as handsome as cary grant and as down to earth as jimmy stewart! He will be a lovely handbag and glorious company Even my husband approves!
sorry kim do not have those ones yet
cross, can you take 3 minutes of planning??
3 minutes?? sure thing
then we are on!! when I visit you or you visit me! we will have a blast!
a lovely handbag?....handbag??? good grief now the poor fella is reduced to an accessory:/
i want to see melbourne..then some nice resort area
ah, you are offended by my analogy of handbag... a woman loves a handbag... if that handbag happens to be an distiguished gentleman, than he is privilaged to be on my arm
and are you not privilaged to be on his?
He is privilaged to have me on his arm, so I am his handbag too
lol then all is well
we are just friends... with facinations in handbags :)
lol if i had you on my arm during a visit my wifes eyes would turn into laser beams and kill me where i stand;)
LOL crossy!! so I must be a pretty good handbag then! LOL again!
but, your wife can be assured that as a handbag, I just hold onto valuables, then retire for the night after a bit of a rummage! LOL
lol@ rummaging:)
and I do mean rum!! LOL
and on that note, time to dive back into the grid for a bit...sploosh!
you can tell your fair lady I am a discerning lady... one of taste and clarity, and certain to bring a man to a stand and smile, but far from that, I release him and send him on his merry way, without any injury or unwanted disparage!
I love my husband beyond any other man... but love to have fun and make whoopie without the 'fu' and 'whoohoo' that some would insert into the game of friendship and fun.
a secure and trusting marriage is a wonderfull thing is it not mrp? my lady and i are to celebrate our 16th shortly:)
i also am not an intellectual or idealogical snob.... love my fun!!
oh crossy!! we are celebrating 13 years in July!! so so lucky and looking forward to it! Congratulations to you too! We are lucky to have such loving spouses
indeed
my marriage is very secure (lickety is not jealous at all) and he trusts me beyond life! That is why I love him so much and have so much fun in my life!! He is just a wonderful man who happens to adore me without feeling inadequate.
lol the other i i told the wife about a blurb i read online,it goes something like this..."married men almost always live longer than single men, they are just more willing to die" lol
Pounce
and he has every reason in the world not be feel inadequate! I feed his ego and adore his 'appendages' as is needed! He adores my husband for the amazing love and support he has for me, and he still grabs my ass every day! LOL
hi infern!!
im one of the lucky ones as well mrp;))
he is I, by the way.
OMG!!!!!!! I am OVER THE MOON
isn't it wonderful crossy!! blessed be to us!

congrats herin:)
it is illegal for u to pick with the leaves..if JUST the blossom...no problem
This is what happens when your stuck at the MIL's house board out of your brain. man my cats are stinky
now, what is a trillium??
a semi-rare provincial flower
it the the provincial flower of ontario...only grows in woodlamd conditions....

Hello Annie! How're you today?

Alright, I've 3 sn8 now. Still no compounds.. (Peri, there is the plural of the nosey person)
thanks NoNo
Oh, business is the anti-boom there, I'll drop you a line about it later. Have you done the deed?
thanks Uni
must eat some breakfast and get on with my day, bbs to finish. 89 left
Uni, Alas, the deed lies undone. I love bookstores. They are also treasures.

Hi jean!!! (((hugs))) long time no see!

:-)
no prob infern!! It is quite ok!
Maddison is just starting to learn the benefits of tea tree oil.
Sorry I was also *gasp shock horror* looking at the skanks at the Britney Spears concert
that girl needs to be put to bed
Sorry I just can't imaging giving my kid $2000 for a prime ticket to see someone lipsink
she stands there, lip syncing... half dancing, whilst her 'crew' do all the moves and make her look half decent. I hate concerts where the singer doesn't sing... and I hate gimmicky crap to cover it up. I love AC/DC, Pink etc... all the real singers and players
Love Pink
hello
who are we dissing?
icon updated hope it works
I saw Pink when she first came out cost me a whole $12
Maddison needs to go to her first concert soon... will be a very interesting choice, once we make it
hi Jane
hi harp
harp, we don't diss anyone... we discuss with discernment :)
THIS is what got me angry: http://tinyurl.com/dmgukq
right, the same discernment that i see in our state politics....
My very first concert was Red Hot Chilli Peppers I was 17 *i think*
ah well... we have every right to put down those that show disrespect to the government and how it operates
How are you Harp
My first concert was INXS! I went with my dad!
Back! My first was BB King, then the Rolling Stones and that was it for live concerts
mmmm he was kind of hot Mr Pres
I'm well herin, just updated my icon
my first concert was STeppenwolf in 1968
I have seen a few bands at really insane cheap prices
I had loads of concerts with local artists when I was slightly younger, but for the big guns, I caught The Rolling Stones and Alice Cooper in one. That's it so far. Much as I love the greats, I can't (and won't) afford them.
I hear ya there Uni!
Haha, Harp - That is the first result I got too (your icon, that is).
i simply HAD to use that pic!
It is lovely!
G'd mornign again! Still 84 left. ***sigh***
oh my, my first concert was Gary Lewis and The Playboys way back in the 60's!
hi Lori!

Annie of the Brooklyn! Hi ya'. :)
yep, yep
Good morning/afternoon again.
herin, seeing Brittany is a privilege?
hi Annie
Welcome back, haz
I would only spend $2000 on britney to pay for a car to take her to rehab
I pay 2000 for my home. For six months. Nothing else.
HAZ! have you seen sprite yet today?
Hi Lori of NS!
hi Haz
wb Hazaurus
Hello again, Annie. Back to try to get this thing finished.
I certainly have, Trif. Her icon is genius.

Ooh, Haz is using brookding George. Welcome to both.
I know, isn't it hilarious???? she gave us a preview last night.
She's been good enough to e-mail the original to me so I can have a permanent record.
what does the 9 start with?
Guys I am being a smart ass. I would love to spend the money on seeing my parents and Simon and Garfunkle
na 9 harp (8/9 combo)
Hi Haz. dang it himself is very late home
I'm really impressed with it. He was holding a pug in the original picture - call me biassed but I think he looks better with Spangle.
Hello herin.
i once traveled 400 miles and bought a season series that i did not want, because it was t he only way to get in to see my favorite folk group---the Limeliters!
Trifs come to fb I ahvs to tell you something

Hello Aloy.
Yes, I thought it was brilliant, flosey. She's sent me a copy to keep.
sc8/55, both of them and they end in s
now that must truly be proof that you have him there
o plus two letters that appear in an equation relating to a circle (you know that it begins with p) the robot ending is andr***.
Absolute proof. That Scrabbler can't argue with evidence like that.
you rascal you!
ahhh, ty haz, i have no idea why i found that so hard to follow
I know!
Glad you got it, jacq.
i think today i need babbling for idiots
It's a taxing grid in parts.
i don't have a single e wrd yet and have 67 left
correct that i just got two
that is NOT a word
Seabirds. You can always rely on the seabirds.
no no n o no no no no
ei + last part of wedding vow, pl
ty Aloy
yw (-: my nephew's wedding on Sun. was gorgeous, outdoors.. but they had to postpone their honeymoon to Cancun
THAT is NOT a word either... sheesh
lol, this is why i love babble, even a typo can be a word even when you didn't realise your fingers got lost on the keyboard
***mumbles stupid language***
so sorry to hear that Aloy, but better safe than sorry
fireworks - now must finish last minute packing, leave in 1 hour for ferry over to airport, flying to Toronto to visit sons and wives, grandson, etc.

Great Haz! LOL!
You're welcome, bichon.

re 5/14?
re5/14 - shortened word for a short scouting trip for information gathering

You're welcome.
hi ruru!! ((hugs))
hi madam pres
Haz, I am having a heck of a time getting the stove top clean, using a lot of elbow grease :)
Hello mrpresident.
must be george clooney day :)
I'm trying to think of what is good for stubborn stains. Soda crystals dissolved in water? I like Cif Lemon as well.
who is george clooney?
It's great, isn't it? All these Georges.
aha !! finally monkeyed the evil UN6/27 & fireworks!!!
never heard of Cif lemon Haz, wonder if we have it here
Congratulations pugmama!
It used to be Jif, then changed to Cif. Great stuff.
wtg pug
s'pose I should put my ragged arse in the shower & get on with the day.... Any clues needed before I go?
peri, do you have creme cleanser?? We have a product here called 'Gumption'... it is excellent for cleaning stovetops
otherwise, pour bicarbonate of soda on it and vinegar... it will react and then you can clean it off
I made something with borax, castile soap and baking soda with some eucaplyus oil. working ok, it is just that the stuff is burned on
ok, will try that
ok I shall take that as a no & leave you all in the able hands of Haz. Happy Babbling all & POOF!
how much of each, mrp?
hello Mr P Ma'am
bye pug!
Bye pugmama.
1 teaspoon bicarb to 1 tablespoon vinegar.... let it settle and then rub it in and leave it for a while... turn on all the elements before doing this, so that the stove top is warm... remember to turn them off before putting the combination on them
un 6/27? please
un6 - looks like a singular pea carrier.
clever haz...thank you
ty, mrp will try that
i don't get the SE 6 clue. what i put in doesn't work
Glad it worked, ruru.
haz is so good with cryptic clues!
i am thinking the ird that scoops fish?
bird
not liking this grid at all
se6 - se plus the ending that after con would worry you.
listening to a cd of Patsy Cline
ah, that bird!
The one, bleu!
hi all
hey Owl
Hello TO!
ok, back to cleaning the stovetop, bbl
I guess 1.35am is enough. I intend to sleep in and keep the kids home from school. I still have to be at school at 11am, cause it is a sports day and have been asked to cater for it... *sigh*
hi owl!! (hugs)!! I am off for a good sleep! night all
hi mr. p
Sleep well, mrpresident!
have a good nap mr. p
night mr p!
Good afternoon everyone. I see George is amongst us again... Lovely.
anyone help on the last se 6/21?
is anyon eelse experiencing a lag?
is anyone else experiencing a lag?
I am having the red menace, TO. Word troubles. Chat troubles. The whole shibang.
Hello elder - isn't it great?
se6/21 - to the preceding se4/4 add the first letters of Schwarzenegger's State
nm
It is grand. reminds me of Gregory Peck another of my favourites. The eyes, jaw line etc..
thanks haz I found it just after I asked
muscly? old?
hi une, i can never tell if its our firewall
I am getting better at this game..
That's okay, ruru. I won't hold it against you forever.
where? where is george?
Changing my name to periruru
George is featuring in lots of icons.
My firewall is off, always is. My internet sometimes bothers me, but I almost always have troubles with babble. It is too high maintenance for my old machine and my tentative internet connection.
Eye candy for the babble queens?
is that the actual theme?
Something like that, ruru.
It is his birthday, Ruru. It is also belayed icon for Haz's birthday. (actual theme IS George)
What, eye candy for the babble queens?
ta ta for now.. have to get to work.. have fun all
Bye ruru.
ru: i am sure that was just a slip of the fingers. there is only ONE babble queen.
not to me.. but I agree.. haz is the queen bee
bows: "your highness"
Keep up with the flattery, ruru. Your brownie point total is climbing all the time.
oh. i think it is time for me to go.
So soon, TO?
(keeping score)
yes. it seems i am being offensive already. *poof*
I don't understand.
TO is a bit touchy I guess?
me neither.
Whoaa...what happened? I pop out to look at watercolours and now TO is gone :(
hI, anyone have a clue for the last sc 6/21?
shrimp sc*****
sc6/21 - s plus what a baby does to attract attention.

phae are you trying to confoooze me
i don't have that ca5
no oodle
ok I am totally lost now
oodle, i thanked you for the sc clue you gave
bichon, It won't pl
ohhh ok yw
belabor. someone might benefit from that word
the first ca 7/40 is after a 6/27 person who sleeps in the woods. You can pl that
ca5 is something that goes boom
sorry, bichon my bad,...i need the second one
ca 7/40, 2ned on is a comparative form
Bichon, i found it...stupid word
ca5 is a weapon used in wars... civil war notably
Many words are stupid and never would be used in aspeech
hence stupid language
like the word merer
ty for you help
ce4?
phae, I think it's part of the intestines
G'd afternoon Babblers! Back for my lat elusive 7 which are pretty much sucking my soul......

ty haz
Good morning
ty, weird word
TY from me too!
Thank you so much, Haz. Bowing deeply...
Haz's clue was more better-er. G'd afternoon python
hi python
You're ever so welcome.
it is sad but I have a feeling that he will be in the top three
what does the 9 start with?
me too,
Are you talking about the show biggest loser?
na9 being a plural for na8.
yes
na 8/9 combo
ok
I am hooked on that show! Who do you not want in the final three?
what is the na8 word?
ron he has come along way but think mike deserves it more
well I think I will go with the suggestion of Ron
na8 - to do with birth or the beginning of life.
Oh I absolutely agree. His goal is to have his son win...which I think just may happen.
Haz, thanks for the 6/33.
yes but if you went by players and who played the best I think ron hands down he manipulated everyone, even tara

Great clue Haz!
Gocha' TO, nuff said. ***hugs***
We could come and kidnap your boss and ask an unreasonable ransom.
Glad it worked car.
***Plus 1 mug of homemade soup, it can't hurt!***
Or we could ask a reasonable ransom, make some cash and just not return him/her.
BBL!
boss is not problem. problem is my response.
Good thinking Uniquity. Blackmail and fraud. Your mother should be proud.
Or maybe kidnap TO and pamper her to full health again.
Can FM be blamed in any way?
hmmm.. not one word from bottom row n
Without a doubt.
I like the idea of kidnapping TO and getting her across the Atlantic.
Distributes helium balloons, special tinfoil party hats and brightly coloured streamers, as well as Ata's artowork for decoration. Time for a party!
TO - think black and French
TO, shall we share a bottle or 3 of rum later, and get it all out of our systems?
No one would look for her here.
They'd look for her overseas. Never expect to find her in NS ***offers my house as TO get away area***
can we make that canadian mist? not that i am much o f a drinker
Oh dear. I've stumbled upon a conspiracy to commit kidnapping and smuggling. May I have a pink party hat, please?
gee imust stop procratinating on that passport
Hello Judi.
TO LOL.
Passport? We'll smuggle you in somehow.
Passport? Canada/US border is pretty porous TO... :D
**Is painting a hat pink for Judi.
Good grief, just how many no's are there in the English language.
reminds me of yestdrday's drink of comment
Besides, if we can't get a passport forged for you, then we're not half as resourceful as we think.
Just jet ski across the St. Lawrence, you big sissy.
i love to ski
f you read our news Passports do not seem an issue to get into UK.
not jet tho
Getting into Canada is easy...the US, not so much. You'd have to stay. Oh well!
And dcseain is something in customs, he'll get you through. We'll disguise you as a parcel and get him to stamp you 'Fragile' 'Do not examine'
LOl..
well also read that one of the UK mayors has stopped use of the apostrpohe, sayng it is outmoded.
What if she wants to be examined by customs agents? Strip search! wink wink!
*pictures aged women in unis* yikes!
I can be at the airport border and I will start a bit of a drama saying I've got the H1N1-A. They'll never pay attention to those coming off the plane after that.
it has to Boris.
and you can't get into Britain if you're a hatemonger like that guy they denied entry yesterday
Ah! I've an apostrophe in my name. What would I do without an apostrophe?!
Uni 'giggles' hysterically.
Of course, we could always use Anniebrook's best spare habit. They never search nu4.
so do i. at least my born name. computers cannot handle it
Where I'm from , "camo" is a word. (This grid is making me crepidous.)
Great TO, now she's gonna' go on and on and on about the apostrophe and her childhood traumas..... :p
I know. For ages I was always at the bottom of a list in a computer, or excised from the system entirely. They've gotten better though..
the article was quite scathing, actually, sugggesting the mayor should learn the proper use of them.
now curiois...french? or italian?
what about dashes? are they still allowed? or also outmoded?
We could upgrade you to a hyphen or a "schwa".
Don't talk to me about the trauma of apostrophes. I have to look at redundant ones springing up all the time. They're breeding!
If it was Boris , he comes out with amazeing quotes.
Acadian - French. I also start with a lower case letter, then a capital! NOBODY will accept that. Buggars.
which is why they are being expunged
A'choo.
My last name though. First name is 'normal'. Thanks for that, Lori..
But apostrophes are good as long as they're used properly.
oooh, i'd like a schwa
Or, if you prefer, aChoo.
Bless you Judi and now wash your hands.
*hustles judi into isolation*
No, the latest thing is to get the flu, then be all immune for when the killer one arrives.
phantom recipe
Shan't stop using apostrophes. Judi. I am actually laughing out loud. Still. LOL does not cover it.
Pardon me, but your apostrophe is unacceptable. And, don't look now, but your participle is dangling.
When in doubt leave them out.
haz i think you are so right
oh no no danglin the participles
ya'll would not look the same with out puncuation lol
***Judi's gonna' foot the bill for my rib X-Rays***
I'm always right, TO, it's in the Law of England. My daughters are slowly coming round to it.
oh darlin
lol. We actually used to have a children's book entitled "The Dangling Participle". It was about proper grammar and punctuation. Out of print now, I think.
Or is that "childrens' book"?
Flu coming, good weather forecasts on the horizon what is our Government planning ?.
no doubt. grammar as we were taught is dead.
Children's book. It's already a plural.
must find article on MSN. rules are very simple.
Whatta' bunch of nerds. :p
:)
however, rules are quite out of fashion nowadyas in all areas.
Come on, Lori, we have to have something to get on our high horses about. Or is that something about which to get on our high horses?
We're not childrens ..
I wasn't taught grammar at all..and I am entering my fourth year of university. Still not a clue about the whole thing, including whatever your dangling participle is.
Rules are the way forward.
or should i say, rule's are out of fashion
*tickles Lori's ribs* And nerds shall inherit the earth. Now shush up and deliver my pizza, oh ye of common IQ.
Poor grammar is something up with which I cannot put.
lol
un my english teacher would teach us the rules and then tell us not to speak texan, it was all wrong
Grammar? My Grammar said books 'n learnin' wood never get me anywhere!
a local shop's sign reads: steak's'+ and hoagie's'
Apparently I abuse commas. My profs say so, at least.
ok peeps http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/Features /Columns/?article=ApostropheCatastroph e>1=27004
Uh, TO. That is awful. Don't you just want to run over and correct it with a big red marker?
Oh, and Judi, do you want fries with that? ;p
apparently it's the city of birmingham
poor comma's how do you get abused
Hmmm. Fries with pizza. Carb overload. Nah. Just green peppers and mushrooms will be fine. Can you find your way or should I have colored lines painted on the road for you?
Quote:Apostrophes denote possessions that are no longer accurate, and are not needed," Councilor Martin Mullaney said. "More importantly, they confuse people. If I want to go to a restaurant, I don't want to have an A-level [high school diploma] in English to find it."
Gah! I've gotten grocery receipts where they couldn't even choose the proper they're there or their.
any clue for the so8 ?
oh that is another beauty
so 8 what you hear + male
Stupid man. Councillor Martin Mulaney will never get my vote.

OK.. must run soon... anyone need help before I go?
Bye TO - good to see you, as always.
ty bichon, have a good day to and wtg mom
Well done Mum.
Headed out TO? Do you want the agenda of when we're gonna' kidnap you, or do you prefer to be surprised?
Lori, what have we said about low expectations? And about not doing the very best that you can?
oh, surprise me. i need a little excitment.
Bye for now TO.
We'll need to get our foolproof plan sorted out. Those who fail to plan plan to fail.
lol TO, later gator!
To. so for the time being, have case ready and clean under garments..
*sigh* the guy who took over my old job totally ignored me today as always. it totally freaked me today. i mean passing on the aisle with absolutely no acknowledgement.
elder: mo mtaugh tme well LOL.
He'll not ignore you if you use a water pistol.
People are idiots, TO
haz, some one in the warehouse here shot someone else in argument. he was not fired.
Spilling your coffee on him will help him notice you.
Ignorance or perhaps completely bowled over by your competence, TO.
OMG... can I get a job there?
ADA or some other crap law
Seriously?
Honestly... you cannot control his actions so what do you care?
seriously. long time ago. no more warehouse.
Should he not have been fired for having weapons in work?
Carrying a gun is a disability???
Before Pennsylvania was a part of the Union??? LOL!
Then get that water pistol filled up. You can claim that it's a new sprinkler system on trial.
Really not funny, but very bizarre.
no. being disturbed enough to settle an argument by gun. o fcourse, that was 30 years ago. now it's more accpetable :/
Really? Is it?
yes. one of those" you have to laugh" things.
I prefer to settle my arguments using medieval weapons... maces for example.
Or catapults that throw cows.
We need one squad on kidnapping duties and the other on teaching nasty man manners.
in the city. very sadly.
HAZ GOTCHA!
mom to the penalty box!
OMG... sorry.
Owl, I actually remember when that happened long time ago
OOOPS !AHCTOG ZAH (retraction)
Perhaps we should go back to dueling at dawn... maybe people would be more respectful!
I will opt for the man in warehouse.
lol (from work, where I am NOT babbling)
Man, whacking people ain't what it used ta' be.
Not at all.
mom i am coming to nj this weekend
as.. now being able to run might get in the way of the kidnap plan.
I will admit I did a kind of a nasty thing the other day... kinda... to teach a lesson to some wannabe thug kids...
owl this summer you and i are going to lunch at the ivy inn
Oh, visiting bro and dad again?
Well, have fun. I don't work there anymore.
What did you do? And do you need somebody to speak up for you in court?
Not that you still should not go, LOL!
oh no, thought we had a plan!
Mom , did you take their mobiles off them , they are incapable of speech.
oh. sorry.
I "removed" these kids bicycles from where they "dropped" them (almost on my foot) to a much farther place in the parking lot of the local market!
good evening everyone :-)
Dorens... we can still have a plan!
Hello Orange.
elder lol
Good one.. Mom.
You mean you made them walk? WALK?
Hello Orange.
You didn't even offer them a lift?
Actually, I did not remove them... asked the manager to do it... which he did... and when they came out I played dumb! You had to see them searching... It was really funny.
heh, I like 'yer style mom
No Haz... I had left my catapult at home!
G'd afternoon Orange
heck they must have been wuite young or they would have had corollas
mom - have you ever thought of undercover work, like in organising kidnaps?
They were maybe 14 or 15.
LOl..
We're always on the lookout for new recruits.
giggles.
OMG Haz I would be so bad at that, as I would not be able to stop laughing.
mom do you go to maywood market? my dad gets meals there.
We were doing a "shake the can" fundraiser and they peeled in and dropped their bikes literally dropped them practically on my foot in the crosswalk.
Yes. TO that is where the incident occurred!
radiator and fan is broken, 975 dollars worth of work
So, I kindly pointed out to the manager that perhaps the crosswalk was not the best place for bicycles.. LOL!
Oh, cherly.. that sucks!
well then they had no right to drop them on sidewalk
unemployment dont cover that
He had seen the whole thing AND I know him, so he was happy to be a part of the plan, LOL!
One of the best is to tell them to pick up rubbish they have dropped or tell their parent. never fails to amuse me. Their faces are one of.. how dare you and rubbish ? where did that come from.
oops sorry just unexpected
yes mom, we will make a plan for sure
cars can be such crap sorry cherly
How are your children, Orange? Do you now have time for a respite each day?
So they came up to me and asked me where "I" had put their bikes... and I told them that "I" had not touched their bikes... which I had not!
elder.. yes. I know.
nice
So, I told them nicely that if they said they were sorry then maybe I could help them look for them.
it is a losing battle tho. you will be branded a cranky ol lady.or a nut. or both.
And you took them the long way round, I hope?
With many a diversion and red herring.
Which they did not, so I did not! I have no idea in the end where the manager put them, but it was about 15 minutes that I saw them looking.
TO. there already:)
I am nt ashamed of being called cranky or old.. especially by mannerless hoodlums.
and no threats of retribution? no lawyer daddies come a calling?
Of course the girls from the softball team were hysterical laughing, as were the men I was with (though not a one of them said a word to these kids).
Dear me, look at the time! I'd better get cracking on something to eat. To the kitchen!
Like I said... I never touched them.
opiec e
Bye Haz.
ty to, hopefully my church will help
Bye all - good to chat with you!
OOPS...so sorry...I had a premature eclickulation
OMG if they had contacted the police or anyone else my hands would have been totally clean of the caper!
I have the solution to TO's problem, I will fuel up the BabbleJet and pick her up and bring her back to Blighty - problem solved?
Bye for now Haz. Hope you enjoyed your George day.
Do we have access to the BabbleJet??? Who knew?
bye haz. and look at the time, i must also go. happy babbling to all. elder i will be sure to do wash tinight. ;)
I certainly did, elder!

FMitch. good thinking.
help with the Zs..pleez?
TO, clean and enough to last. :)
zi 4/6... sounds like something you would atone for.
Am I dim or are the un words hard? And there is only one correct answer, can't be both.
Yup I fly the BabbleJet when it is needed and it gives the cabana boys something else to do when the PB is quiet.
I am now going to concentrate on the grid, I have been led astray too easily.
FM... sounds cool.
zi 4 -- add, as plain as the *o*e on you face.
i'v got the animal abode and the atone one
zo 5-- menagerie and freud term
Led astray...I know the feeling. 66 left. Still!
Hi Uni :)
zo 4 -- manageries
zo4/9 (2 of them)... and a plural to a place to see animals and add a consonant on the end of the place to see vowels (plural that for the zo5/20).
Uni, the un's (6 of em, 1 ud) are mostly normal
zo 5/22.. place to see animals and what the bouncer asked to see at the door of the bar...
FM! ***whammo***

beach weather is good. Have you decided where in Canada?
Stid, are you feeing any better now ?.
I have a lingering cough, slight infection down there, but not enough to see a doc. you know -- uncomfortable enough to be grumpy, but not so bad that medicine is indicated.
I don't get lung trouble very often, so don't have a coping mechanism
vancouver area. husband has new job there. finally i'll be able to live without worrying every day

i'm just so happy about it. husband is a narc with greek military/interpol/local forces.. new job is (mostly) a desk job with RCMP intel. he'll be home every night!!!
that will be helpful, considering your kids! they'll like that change, for sure.
hello hello all
I can't remember -- are they young enough that they don't have A LOT of friends, or will that be a big transition?
hello sadie!
hi stidmama
we moved a bit when I was a child (military), but my military parent managed to have the same duty station 7 years in a row so most of our schooling was in just two places.
they'll be 3 in july. perfect time for them to move and get into a pre-school
yes, that is ideal. Well planned!
Do you have any trouble telling your children apart, Orange?
hello BR!
evening everyone
Hello, stid
I would paint their fingernails different colors, were it me...

thanks for the conversation all! (((hugs))) *poof*
I'm thinking about taking an MA in September but with the additional travel due to the office relocation I'm thinking it might be too much
one of the boys is a daredevil.. his brother and sister just sit back and watch with looks that say 'baaaaad idea Dmitri'

I'm so proud of my daughter-in-law...she had two of her photos published in a Dutch book!

she's a planner.. her brothers sit back with looks that say 'wow..why didn't we think of that?'
She is a falconeer (sp)
You know your children well.
the other boy is quiet and thoughtful and sensitive and his brother and sister are like 'c'mon..live a little!!'
it's amazing how early they show their personalities isn't it

Hello everyone
scrabbler
i think i know what bobbetize means, but can't see a un linking to it, LOL
un 6 - one footed creature
HI Scraqbbler
hi, scrabs!
hello babblers
hello babblers
JBV
I finished mopping the kitchen floor and vacuuming down here. My new kitchen appliances are being delivered tomorrow--fridge, stove + dishwasher.
CONGRATS, scrabs.
nice scrabbs
oh, how wonderful, scrabs, that would motivate me to clean too -
WOW Scrabbler. If that was were I was living i would so be doing the floor too
so, scrabs and red, if I write tomorrow and mantion inhaler, wheezing, and misery, do not let anyone think "swine flu," please, LOLOLOL
I am in allergy hades.
I gave my father the project 2 wks ago, to find me the best deals on those appliances and he had a blast with comparison shopping and haggling. he settled on the store then I went with him to make the final decisions.
Swine flu is not as big an issue as the news is enjoying stirring up. For heavens sakes. We have a nationwide shortage of flu swabs.
SO cool, scrabs!!!!
that's the best, scrabs, I was just about to say I HATE the shopping part - I would love someone to do it for me
LOL, red... I know!
My father LOVES to find a great deal--cars, etc, so he helps my sisters and me.
ty jbv
I was on a train that had to be pulled out of service last nght. Smoke and burning rubber/chemical smells. Started having worse allergy symptoms later last night but now it's horrid. last night I coughed so hard, I had shooting pains down my arms. Am taking cough/allergy meds but the throat ain't pretty, LOL
I agree, Red, and the media has not mentioned that every winter 36K Americans die of flu.
It's great that he gets such pleasure, scrabs!
hi everyone
Do you have asthma or is this your first episode of wheezing?
Hi dawger
apm no telling what you inhaled
Happens during allergy season every other year or so, scrabs...
EXACTLY, TO
Yes, Pam, he enjoyed that week, calling me 2-3 times daily to discuss features and prices. Of course I am the one spending $2400. He will be here tomorrow for the delivery because I work 11-7:30.
Your money, his fun. Seems fair, LOLOLOLOLOLOL
i love spending someone elses money!
I took him out for lunch at IHOP after the purchase. And I have $20 worth of scratch off lottery tickets for him to find here tomorrow.
do6/36?
sounds like he did a good job esp if stainless
it's a do**** of a word, robbie
do 6 - what you might say about this grid, robbie, rhymes with floozy
Nope, white, Owl. I have no windows in my kitchen and walnut cabinets so white will brighten things up.

Heya Trifs!

Hi Trif!
Who do you predict will be # 1 - my vote is for Adam
Don't know yet, TO? I just can't believe Kris is safe...

HAnds Trifs my boots of steal caps :D
herin, my love....still brilliant today????
Remember that you are in control of your thoughts and choices. Rise above the crap.

Trifs - I saw a bit of your troubles yesterday .. I think you have pretty sound legal footing - I hope things work out well ..
Not sure what is going on, but my t's and p's are heading your way, Trif
auditory vibration + male
Sometimes you have to wade through the crap before rising above it - I know you all are talking about something serious but would you like to lalugh a little?
It sure is, but instead of worrying and obsessing (negative meditation) turn it around and do positive thoughts/meditation.
HI Torg
thanks torg....
and lbd
ty lbdawger
Yes, JBV--I love to laugh
i like laughing, JBV.
how is this for the insanity of bureaucracy? I had to spend hours going through boxes of old files in the basement of my building because........
please clue me re5/14 & 6 after it?tyvm
wishing you luck in whatever it is, trif!
also final pi4/5
school records can only be disposed of or shredded if they are coded (!) before shipping to the shredding company.....
and if the State is notified in advance of the shredding......
seriously, jbv? that is ridiculous!
etc. I'm not kidding we spent hours, literally, on GARBAGE@!!!!!
Typical beauracracy, JBV
Today I have had to wear many hats: teacher, mum, counsellor,
Crazy, JBV!
did I make you laugh, Trif? I hope so - and good luck with whatever you are dealing with
wow JBV!
re+ double consonant + vowel then plural for the 6
ty even a to z does not have that
WOW, Idol surprised me....
One of the girls in my group thought that someone in our class was cheating off her work and she felt bad about saying something. I said to her how will you feel if she says you copied her and you fail
I have worked in large bureaucracies all my life but I never cease to be amazed at how they can take on a life of their own - beyond all rationality
whta happened ? i am at the limit of multitasking
Allison is going home....
allison???? shes great...what the hell?
She was good but her style is too limited - not appealing to a mass audience, I'd say
wow i wish i was in the idol pool
She is singing Cry Baby 1000 times better tonight
she has grown tremendously but not there yet
I agree, not there yet.
That is ok they did something similar with Aus So you think you can dance. the top 10 meh. The winner was great at the end
are they doing that "vote for the worst" thing on line again?
fina; pi4/5 please? just can't see it
pi 4/5 - rhymes with burn
hisssssssssss Bugger I have to go get dressed and do home work. Have a good day
Law & Order.
Bye Herin
Ciao, herin

hi all
Hi Pini
this L and O though is not VInnie.

I watched the season debut with goren on earlier... loved it
I missed it, because I love working OT it seems.
I love Jeremy Sisto in the Wednesday L & O.
op6/24?
Extra $ is nice.
LOL, red... I think it was a repeat, and you can find a lot of them on USA network....
I think it may kill me, 3 weeks now of 55plus hours.
THAT is a lot of work, red!
pam, saw that, too - what a creepy story, tho
I am getting very very very tired. but swine flu has created a lot of extra slots.
REALLY creepy, jbv. Saw it coming and WINCED
op 6 - a drug
Geez, red, that will fry your brain! I lose it at 30 hrs of seeing patients...then there is charting, phone calls, rounds and on call. I work "part-time" in the office.
red do you have much flu there?
Is anyone else going to see night at the musem?
We have no flu, but we have a lot of crazy nuts who think they have it.
Is that a movie, red?
i want to see that movie, red
that's understandable
it is an IMax film. I want to see it too.
We are getting lots of phone calls and having many unnecessary appts due to flu hysteria
i liked the first, night at the museum. hope the sequel is just as good
un6/24 pls?
Oh, a sequel is coming out? with Ben Stiller again?
the last one is un + opp close
does anyone think flu will return?
yes, scrabs

hey west
* pondering *
so, should I start, or just go to sleep now?
are you visiting?
that was a funny word west...I've heard of nowhere male(Beatles), but not no6/21!
hi fuquay
it starts out fin then gets tricky
if it were me, I'd vote for sleep...
last no6,21?
yeah robbie
work trip. I've been teaching the last three days. That's done now, and then I'm speaking at a conference the next two days
not a woman
oops, would that mean not male west?
my favorite for this grid faith
it could I should have left out the 'a'
g2g let the dogs out .They have been patiently waiting until I finished the grid! bye everyone thanx for the gr8 clues!
and added opposite lol
so it was you robbie...
* banging head on table *
by robbie, congrags
who let the dogs out
still trying for the no word pini?
why head banging pini
can't get the 1st no6 word :(
I hate that song, west. Hi all.
no act and not you and me but
break it down first part what you do with your head second part common ending
hi jac me too
no6 = full of knots.
got the head bob
2 letter word for an action
add full of
Glad we're agreed on that, West.x
I'm probably going to kick myself when I finally get it...
last syllable is a rodent with the head and tail cut off
jac I have no idea how some of these can even be called songs
so 3 ltr head bob + 3 ltr ????
yes
I guess I'm just struggling with the 3 ltr ??? part now
you might have the rodent on your computer
Actually, Pink, kicking yourself is not an easy thing to do. Mind you, I have seen it done one Total Wipeout (TV prog, both UK and USA). Incidentally, Iike the USA version better; the contestants are funnier, but the wheel spins far too fast in the last round.
cats chase them too
GOT IT!!!!
thx for your patience!!!!
can't keep my eyes open, so I guess I'll pack it in. have a good evening, and fun babbling!
yay and ty for yours
yeah pini
no doubt, jac...but I'd woulda seriously considered trying!!!
night fuquay! :)
(don't work too hard!)
it was an od6 word
good night fuquay sleep well and stay cool
Pink - you'll either have to jump or fall high anf then kick yourself in the butt with your heels. LOL
Nihg fuqay.
oh, for crying out loud...still have 32 more to go...that one took forever!! :(
the rest will be easy
* going back to top to see what's missing *
i still have 45, havent gotten far at all
Mind you, back in the 70s when wooden Dr Scholl sandals were all the rage, I DID discover how painful i is when you kick your own inner ankle.:(
ouchie
last ca5/12?
I'll second that, west! OUCH!
pachebal's ca***
what the heck is pachebal????
Church official with one consonant missing to be a ball-firing weapon, Pink.
civil war used these to shoot big balls at other side
oh, crud!
it was the theme of Ordinary People pini
thx for that fish!
Big Balls, see, you're all talking about Total Wipeout programme, LOL
the Westford Town Common has one and the balls had to be glued together to keep the rowdies from rolling them down the hill
It's all a load of balls really, isn't it? *grins*
we still have one they fire every independence day
even though one year it caused flag to catch fire
hope they don't hit too many bystanders lol
Cher - where to they for it TO?
love when they shoot it off at the Boston Pops for the 1812 Overture
we have a big picnic and concert down town at the river
So the fish in the river cop it then?
thats usually the song they use here too, or remember the alamo
not many fish left lol
Is the river polluted?
though dont know why they have either song for forth celebration
yes, unfortunately it is, they need to dredge it again
does Texas have an independence day?
what was the river that caught fire? think it was in Cleveland
di5/12?
no we celebrate june teenth and cinco demayo, but not texas holidy
like the british princess with a diff 2nd vowel
At least you lot ('The Amrericans) are still allowed to celebrate your days. The fuss and controversy about St. George's Day (23rd April) here; whether or not to celebrate it for fear of upsetting people of other persuasions, did my head in. What's wrong with our nation? Not a lot, I think, except the politicians suppossedly in charge.
thx ;)
hear hear jac
ty west
we run up against that too
Sorry my smelling (speling) is bad right now, but it IS 4.52 am.
no worries, jac...remember, we're fluent in typonese! :)
yep some real contraversy over some of our holidays
I was going to cook Mexican for Cinco de Mayo but only made a quesadilla
Pink - I know.
jac are you up early or up late?
wow sorry so early in am, its not quite 11 here
West - yo have failed as a cook! LOL. Only kidding.
only 8:53 here
1st do6/36?
I know the one day of the year I try my hand
guess i will list, only way to finish
West - a bit of both. Went to bed late, got woken by hot flushes (flashes) and so am up again.
go cherly go!
archie would say it to edith ( uses the high point letter )
hate those hot flashes
thx west...
Jac, they're not HOT FLASHES....they're call POWER SURGES!!! lol
feel pretty hot when I have them
hot flashes are aroused women in trench coats
good one bab!!
hi BR
that would describe me
ei5?
no pr those are hot flashers, your confused
ei and first note of scale plural
oops br I mean
thx west

Me too. Taped his last July 4th performance.
I did see Fiedler at Tanglewood though
My son and me sat and watched an interesting programme I'd recorded. George Best: His Mother's Son. I had no idea George's Mum was also an alcoholic.
Oh, did you? Wasn't he just grand?
please who is George Best?
yes and I liked John Williams but this new one we call Skippy
could i get a clue for zo5/22?
After we'd finished watching to be told she'd died at 54 after 10 years of drinking, and he'd died at 59 after far more years, I said, with no pun intended, 'That was a very sobering programme.'
animal cage place and not your ego
br did I run you off? sorry didnt mean to
animal park + not out
scratch that....animal park + photo **
I liked John Williams too. I haven't watched it for a long time.
thanks

so8 is the guy who look after the band on stagem or rather their speakers etc.
could be a very sane male too
Pink - a male that is not a male.
add "big boy" to the so5
hmmm...male that is not a male...* pondering *
try lady
voted my favorite in the grid
Pink - sometimes you have plenty and sometimes you have no*e.
oy vey! thx again...could I have some shrimp with my fish?
Add the male to that.

how about a clam bake?
Shrimp could be arranged, Pink. Shal I make ou an ocean pie?

oh cherl I"m so sorry
seafood is such a favorite of mine
how about some brownies, cherly? I left mine on the clerk's counter because she distracted me by giving me change!
(my work study student is going to get it for me tmw) :)
My son and I have been eating fish this week when Beloved is away. (Th ony fish he likes is cod in batter accompanied by chips (fat fries)). We had Cheddar code one night and last night we had trout with noodles and orange and dill sauce.
um brownies I like :)
if they're still there

I'm coming over jac
it's one big brownie!
