went to work today, there were no ops happening, so came home again after an hour, and for this they pay me, as they didn't ring and tell me not to come in.
The words just clicked today
nice little gift that... granny :)
I've spent half the day looking for a house on Phillip Island for World Supers at end of February - they jack the prices up for that time and its hard when on a budget
oh, yeah. and they will probably have to do the same tomorrow, there is only one case in the AM, and 2 in the PM
that is how I feel when we try to go to the Outer Banks in the states anike... frustrating, especially when it was no where near that expensive the first year we went
anike, try just off the island, instead of right on it.
granny are you a surgical nurse then?
does it need to be a house, or just some where to rest your weary head?
yes, dee. i work in the recovery room.
didn't realize that... great job!
We don't really have any choice but to hire a house near Cowes - we have to be able to park the trailer for 1st and last nights and the family like to be close to night life - all the riders tend to gather and socialise - and we have to be at track early each day
anike, try the caravan parks, there are usually some on-site vans which you can rent.
We have 4-7 people usually and need 2 bathrooms for quick exit in mornings - can't have the rider getting himself frustrated can we?
going to lickety with 48 left... totally stalled
the on-site vans are like small houses, and you could park the trailer there. there are usually multiple showers as well
I have 48 found, dee -- just the opposite of you, lol!
60 to go and I'm off to bed, goodnight all
I am finding this one, tough, too jili.. took concentration to get this far
nite flosey
rest well flosey
night flosey -- little Santa William is so cute!
ty jilli, am really enjoying him
We have done the caravan park thing in the past but after driving across country its nice to be comfortable before we head back - we will exhaust all options but will probably end up back at the house we have used a few times - in Silverleaves
dee, I have the noews on TV and have popped in and out of the kitchen -- that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
flosey, your hubby said you weren't there at bridge because you were in love with a younger man.
wish i could help you more, anike
lol great excuse jili
Thanks anyway granny
lol jilli, I am indeed
and hubby doesn't mind at all
he didn't seem to, lol!
lol
The thing that irks me most is that the 1st nite we need is the last day of the high season and they want $400 for that one night so hubby and I will probably find a motel off the island for that night
so tired
poof
that is frustrating anike
off you go to bed, flosey :)
Anyway, enough of my moaning. I'm off to do somw laundry. Happy babbling everyone
bye anike
happy laundering
bye anike!

A bread-flavoured fish!! lol

hi
hi lyn! hi stewart!
I'm mixing babble with colouring daleks
Hi - that should wake everyone up. Poor Hobbit, doesn't look happy about being a Xmas tree. Did you have a good day?
it was ok until idiot husband had a big temper tantrum. apart from that it was fun!
gd morning
What IS the Dalek job? You have to invent some or make them decorative?
hi Ruby
ata: I didn't know my husband was visiting you!
I think Xmas should be way up there on the list of most traumatic events. My husband and I had a few clenched teeth moments too
Good morning everyone.
I clench my teeth so much I need braces -- at my age! lol
hi Elder!
it's just a pic I feel like doing really. I like daleks LOL
Hello..:)
sounds familiar, ruby!
hi elder!
back in a sec..Stew's bouncing about something
Hello :)
I'll bet that no-one took a sillier phone call than I did on Christmas Day. We had the emergency line from the vets, at 10 pm I took a phone call from a young woman concerned that her dog was limping and could it be seen. 'How long has the dog been limping?' I asked. 'A week.'
omg. *rolls eyes*
Hello Haz. Stunning, how stupid some people can be .
So Mr Haz rushed out
I bet no-one's husband made a sillier complaint than mine though!
??
The other one, on Boxing Day morning, was a lady with a mastiff who wouldn't get out of bed and who was licking his lips. I almost asked her to check to see that all members of the household were still present and correct. It sounded to me like the mastiff had polished someone off.
at 10 pm too! hi Haz
with club ... to address the issue with the person.
Dad made him a fab cooked breakfast, and husband complained that it was more towards lunchtime than brekfast time, so the meal was inappropriate
licking his lips? turkey? christmas decorations?
'scalled brunch...
that's charming of him! let him make his own food!! at appropriate times!
Hello, lynxxx. People can be remarkably thoughtless. I told her that a dog limping for a week didn't constitute an emergency. She probably thought I was hard-hearted, but I mean...
Hello hurshy and ruby.
only a week, you should have send watch him for another week and call me THAT morning
Sometimes you should be able to disown husbands!
Hi all did your daughter get to you ok for x-mas Haz?
how are you elder?
Good morning, hurshy, elder, diem, ruby.
or put them on e-bay
g'mornin all
Yes, diem, thankfully all went well the next day and she got a flight home on Thursday. One very relieved mother, I can tell you.
hi Hursh
am except for a rotten cold. It arrive from nowhere so it needs to go back there.
I don't normally drop husband into the sh*t with my parents, but today I did with that one. I'm waiting for the explosions later
hot water, honey and whiskey! if it doesn't make the cold feel better, at least you will sleep
:) yes.
Haz, pleased to hear you daughter arrived safely home for Christmas.
*trying to picture what a paragon of stability haz's daughter must be*
Better if you forget the honey and water and add more whiskey
just imagine a younger Haz :)
is this the same haz who plays blitz?
what wouldn't i give to have haz for a mother!
elder, it was such a worry, and I'm not the worrying type. She was trying to get from Edinburgh, Easyjet washed their hands of it, the airport closed, seats booked with Flybe, but would the weather improve? Thankfully it was the younger one who was flying, she tends to take things more in her stride than the older who panics a bit.
No, ruby, babble is my major vice.
aaaah
so you could be a paragon of stability Hursh?
But hurshy, you might find me to be too much like Marilla.
yep
Yes, but I sometimes think stable is boring.
that's what i want in a mom, haz.
vice? this is a vice?
we all want Haz as a mom
An American visitor once told me 'You always look so calm' and I wondered if she meant that I was boring...
maybe its the horses
hahah haz
Oh Ata, if I were in charge, there'd be a lot better behaviour in supermarkets. There are days when I want to shake the parents, never mind the children.
Haz, how ever old and wise they become we learn very quickly the meaning of having children and the unconditional part.
agreed!
It's very funny seeing children realise that you're not completely stupid and that you just might be right occasionally.
um..
adults occasionally right? whatever next!
see you later, had better start my day!
bye Ruby
Bye ruby, enjoy the day.
I suppose I should make some comment about this being a more decent size of grid than yesterday's offering.
I was nearly speechless the other day.. A female, riding a horse walking along the road and texting on her mobile.
I was amused that mkg really liked the small grid and made a note to Dr-G to give us more of the same.
Bye Ruby.
did you ever hear back from the licking lips mastiff and the limping dog>
ugh, 30 words, tooooo small
lol really?
Licking lips mastiff was passed on to the next vet coming on duty, limping dog was also passed on to next day for a phone call and an appointment.
so glad the Christmas vet emergencies of Ballymena got sorted out eventually *sarcastic font*
Hi everyone
Other calls included an unwell JR puppy (admitted for a drip), sheep lambing, sheep prolapsing. Not too bad, considering.
lambing already? wow
Hello Andree.
Hello, Andree.
sheep! a great word.
poor little JRT
Yes, some pedigree breeds start lambing at Christmas and the rest come in stages. Final lambings won't happen until the end of April.
gah! not only am I missing a heap of letters on my keyboard, but now I can't click with my left mouse
didn't know that! which breeds lamb early? *tests Haz knowledge of sheep husbandry*
hi Andree
Haz did your daughter arrive?
Dorsets lamb twice a year and I think it's Suffolks who start in December.
Yes, Andree, thankfully all went smoothly on Thursday. I was so relieved, as you can imagine.
wow. no idea there was such variation. all our down here lamb in March or so. but they are just normal boring sheep
lots have seen my icon but lynxxx and haz you must look. it is quite bizzare
*disliking not being at home with ready supply of cheerios to quell insomnia hunger*
what are the special breeds used for? showing / eating?
I am glad to hear that ,I bet it didn
different qualities of wool i bet
did not matter what day you ended up having Christmas dinner
merinos have skin with deep wrinkles, making it harder to shear the wool, but it is of a finer quality than the ordinary cotswold variety
Good question, Ata. I think some of the farmers just like something that looks different. Is it Cheviots that are orange? They look more special than your normal blackface.
http://www.cheviotsheep.org/ - yep!
apparently cheviots are used for quality lamb
Lovely pic of Hugo and possum, Andree!
There you go, quality lamb. I knew there had to be a reason for having lambs at odd times of the year.
i have never heard of a possum and dog playing together
We don't have possums so even a picture of a possum alone is ra4/4 for us.
The small 'primitive' breeds generally do not become ready as lamb until their second year. The meat is dark, closely textured and lean and tastes like a cross between lamb and venison. Cook it slowly in a slightly cooler oven than the recipe states or marinate it first. All the breeds have slightly different eating qualities and you can try different breeds at different times of the year. Rare breeds are farmed non-intensively and you can buy named, pure-bred, rare breeds from speciality butchers, over the internet using specialist meat mail-order companies and from farmers' markets. Rare breed meat costs a little more than commercial lamb, but many chefs and gourmets agree that the difference will be noticeable in the extra flavour which is worth paying extra for.
so says the BBC
be thankful you don't have them haz, they eat my tomatoes and beans, real pests and ofcourse you can see how helpful hugo is in ridding me of these pests
One of Mr Haz's partners and his wife breed Dorset sheep. He's been a traitor to his father who always had Suffolks.
most self respecting dogs would not allow a possum in ther territory
Yes, Hugo seems to lack the killer instinct.
I wonder what Spangle and Hobbit would do?
he's a fierce predator alright!
Hobbit would chase it up th nearest tree
I am sure hobbit and spangle would do the right thing and chase them away
I think so.
the whole episode amazed me, Jules and I were outside cameras clicking madly
though if it was inside the house, Hobbti would befriend it probably
Name the actor who plays Father Ted's assistant (Dougal?)(name in the grid).
ardal o'hanlon!
Hooray! Ata wins the prize.
Dougal: I'm not surprised Ted. If I was a sheep. I'd be watching my back right now. Ted: Why? Dougal: Because of the beast. They say it's as big as four cats, and it's got a retractable leg so as it can leap up at you better and you know what Ted, it lights up at night, and it's got four ears. Two of them are for listening and the other two are kind of back-up ears, and it's claws are as big as cups and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps and Mrs. Doyle was tellin' me that it's got magnets on it's tail so's if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you, and instead of a mouth it's got four arses.
That sounds like a fearsome beast indeed!
(it was a sheep with christmas lights on)
Worse than a possum again.
Just think, if you'd incorporated fairy lights into Hobbit's Christmas decor, rumours might have gone around the countryside of a light up hound.
it could have migrated to Ballymena
My daughter's name is in the grid as well!
hi jfb
back, having laptop issues. Amazing Andree, and that possum looks full grown too
hi JFB
I was so excited I forgot my manners! Hi everyone - greetings from ra5.14 Cornwall!

We nearly have the letters for Madrigal. I can imagine eccentric musical parents calling a girl Madrigal.
i have trouble with left A and right E
We could have had Mae after Miss West.
Mawgan .. no ...
ar4.6 Hursh - dunno about that E though
i have ar4/6, and ap4/5, and ae4
Mafany?
Madern - can that be Madarn?
TY!
close atalante
Maenaf
Madran
Hi everyone!
1 letter out
this is like playing that old game of mastermind
hi Brookie
Madryn!
Hello, Brookie.
Hi Haz!
Hi lynxxx!
didn't see that y before
clue for the i ?
Thats it Ata - lovely name isn't it - means princess
hi brookie
it's a gorgeous name, I've seen it before in Cornish legends I think
Hi andree!
Been lurking the last week or so... sorry about that!
No i word here, as yet.
now is that prounounced Madrin or Madrun (like Welsh)
any idea what the 8's are?
No need to apologise, Brookie, sometimes silent observaton is to be recommended.
Yes, andree, they're somewhere in the 5x5 grid :-)
one is se8.55 compound
se8
the se8 is an old english poem as well
is there 2 se8's?
lol brook and thx ata , hushy and lynxxx
pronounced rin ata - that's because there is no i in Cornish
What do the Cornish have against the letter i?
the cornysh you mean
Yes, the Cornysh. Or the Cornwsh? Or even the Corn*sh.
Do they distrust any letter that needs a dot? Is the j also despised?
don't know haz - of course the word Cornish is english! Kernewek is the original
all these dots, waste of ink!
Sprite would not like being Cornish.
i would
talking about old english poems, i went to see "Bright Star" today
With lots of k and no i? You'd have kyttens.
or devonish (is that the term?)
and Myttens and Cynders
And was Bright Star good?
no s's!
Une will be pleased. Mr Tennis is in the grid, both names.
specially for her birthday
I should really say, her Mr Tennis. The real Mr Tennis is Roger.
id4 for the i.
An anagram of an lazy adverb.
it was an excellent movie
ah... did the poetry talk le4 you to it?
thanks haz!
ack! done with 4's already?
I'm not sure, my eyes just followed the d...
lotta 6's left :(
not even morewords is helping with the se8 mentioned
think i'm getting my sleepies back, will do last 10% later
bye hurshy
se8 one who braves a life on the ocean

se8 - someone who goes out onto the ocean
bye Hursh
Good night, hurshy, sleep well.
ths ata

tyvm ata - must away now bbl
there's a Welsh lake in the grid
That was a heartstopping moment. Morewords not helping! It makes the world a strange, unfamiliar place.
Right, I must take a quick break to regroup. Back shortly!

hi Eva
soooooo sorry!!!! A belated proper good moring to all
good morning!
good morning, eva!
does anyone have a clue for the ar7/8?
haven't done that one yet, eva, sorry!
I know I really don't deserve any hints after that shocking display of rampant monkeying.
TY Eva, didn't know what the other 8 was
"Shocking display of rampant monkeying." Ooooh. sounds delicious!!!
very embarassing to make one's entrance in such a gauche fashion
ar7 - ar plus the first letters of a contestant's answer in reply to the question 'What kind of duck is associated with quilt fillings?' and plural
But you totally redeemed yourself with your self-flagellation, Eva! lol
daffy? donald? I can't see the ei one?
At the end. First three letters of the one you mention.
so there's something between the ar and the duck?
There is indeed.
S**** Wrap + ***er down
morning! :-)
hi Une
Good morning, Une. Your Mr Tennis is in the grid, both names!
thanks haz and unea!
i know! pretty cool, eh? LOL
Happy Birthday Une!
hi une!
I saw him and thought of you.
thanks, ata :-)
And your birthday? Happy Birthday!
interesting-I kept phantoming arachnid, and this turns out to be related
and I'll get to seem him at the Australian Open in January (on Tennis Channel)!
I did mention that fact earlier on , Haz. You can't have been paying attention
Sorry. I'll vow to do better in future.
Happy Birthday Une. You share your birthday with my daughter. She turns 18 today!
:-D
so I should think :)
aw, happy birthday to your daughter, soodlebum!
happy birthday Unea! Yet another Sag. I turned 60 a couple of weeks ago. Yikes!
Happy 18th to the daughter. She's all grown-up and responsible, and now you can relax, Soodle.
Happy Birthday Une!! and Soodle's daughter
Capricorn, Eva!
tx and hey, lynxxx :-)
Oh, we've slipped over the line ....didn't realize. 18 and 60....what incredible poles of life
hows Merrrrrrp?
Yeah right, Haz! She is just going to keep doing what she has been doing for the past two years - only now shes doing it legally!!!
my daughter had to go back to Michigan yesterday but before she left she made me a delicious and beautiful cranberry tart!! :-)
better than a bday cake! :-)
Happy birthday Une and Soodles daughter . I must away for a while. bye for now.
I'm telling you, Soodle, any minute now she'll be telling you that you've been right all along about every aspect of life. It'll be very satisfying.
I keep getting flashbacks to this day 18 years ago - Ouch!
Bye, elder, nice to see you.
Am I overdue for telling my mother that?
Haz, You will be the first to know when she does that. Right after they revive me!!
tx elder!
Very overdue, Ata, I'd get it said verbally and backed up in writing.
Merp is is fabulous self. We are in Boston for the week, so we had the dreaded "get the cat in the carrier without causing massive PTSD to all concerned, but now that we're here he's happy. Sometimes, just for the fun of it, he feigns urinary stone emergencies on holidays just for the fun of having to pay a vet for a holiday visit, but he held off this year.
awwwww :) *waves to merp*
no limping or licking of lips?
gives the royal cat yawn back
lol Eva...but I am sure you exaggerate - or at least i hope so!\
The limping game seems to be more of a dog thing
No, that
and they do it well! LOL
That's how we spend our last New Year's Eve....in an ice storm. Barely made it back from the vet....several hundreds of dollars poorer and a totally healthy, shameless cat. Of course all cats are shameless. Hard to do shame without a frontal cortex
or a dictionary to look it up in
Vets don't mind proper emergencies, it's the daft ones that make the eyes roll. Why would anybody wait until a Sunday morning to report that their hamster had been scratching for three months? I had to get out of the shower to answer that one, so the memory sticks....
Silverclaw was particlarly shameless last night as she sidled under my duvet cover and proceeded to steal all my warmth
61 left and utterly stuck.
no, not me, I'm not laughing. Merp is utterly shameless - wretched creature
O.O! you haven't mentioned that one before!
Doesn't Silverclaw give off warmth?
Did I not? It was hard to remain civil while dripping.
Me too Eva - 61 left!
There are other cats who do that? thank God! I just spent $800 on a cat who clearly just wanted several trips in the car and a few overnights
vets are so so good with proper emergencies. I'll never forget the day Hobbit fell down the cliff, I just walked in with her and in literally a minute 3 vets and 2 vet nurses were at her side holding her paw and giving her painkilling injections
I hope you uttered some choice words down the phone!
no she doesn't, she too da4 small to give off much heat!
yes Jayk. To be fair, the other emergencies were real...but they ALWAYS, and I mean always, happen on holidays or weekend nights.
No, I was very polite and suggested that she make an appointment to have the hamster seen during normal surgery and that if she'd waited three months to do anything, another day wouldn't hurt.
Morning all.......
morning, jayk and flask :-)
that's just insane. people are quite mad
hi Flask
I've only ever got really cross once with a man who used to make fake emergency calls. I got to know his voice and finally lost patience with him.
Good morning, Flask.
Eva--how do they know? I LOVE 'hard to do shame without a frontal cortex'!
My brother is a GP & was on call the night of the millenium. He got a call from a woman whose husband was feeling unwell. When asked if he was a patient of my bro's practice, the reply was "Oh, no. But, we wouldn't dream of calling our own doctor on a night like this"....
stupid!
now *that* takes the biscuit!
A neighbouring practice uses an emergency service based in Belfast. If their patients don't want to drive to Belfast (30 miles away) they give them our number instead.
We have a major animal hospital a block away-not our usual vet,but available for utter emergencies. We once, when merp was a kitten we spent 4 hours in the emergency room because Merp was suddenly in extreme pain and writhing. We finally went home, because they had too many more urgent cases triaged, at which point Merp promptly threw up (on my bed of course) the entire insides of a catnip rat, which he has disemboweled and swallowed. He then felt just fine. Since then we have never left him unattended with toys.
is your slogan "the vets that never sleep"
Our practice slogan is something like 'The vets your pets would choose.'
Merp!!
"and that don't mind being woken up at 2am to be told a cat yowled differently to normal"
Seriously, they don't mind turning out to something that needs to be seen, it's when you're used as a convenience 'I'm working tomorrow morning so maybe you should see the dog at 10 tonight' that it gets annoying.
IN Vermont the vet is a 20 minute drive over very icy roads. But, knock on wood, he has not had a urinary emergency (a real one that is) for 4 years now. The switch to raw diet seems to have made a lot of difference. And he gets cranberry pills and renal support supplements every morning before he gets his burshing treat.
any chance of a clue for ar7/32 please?
Those sort of folk should be charged accordingly, Haz!
We had one awful night where a woman's bitch was whelping and she thought she needed to tell us every time a pup was born. All through the night. The funny thing was that husband ended every call with 'Thanks for letting us know' instead of 'Will you for goodness sake give us peace?!'
unea and haz gave good clues for the ar6/8 abotu 15 minutes ago
aw, haz, how sweet!
ar7/32 - a plus moved swiftly in the manner of Sebastian Coe, first three letters of the downy duck.
the man is a saint
he is!
thanx Haz!
how many pups were there in all?
Too many!
You're welcome, Flask.
it's the spider adjective without the c
araneid
that's the one
that's it flask(-:
At one point the woman declared that she was feeling a bit woozy and I thought we were going to have to attend to her as well.
And then plural for ar8.
I guess they're all derived from Ariadne
Haz...am soooooo sorry!
Don't worry, Flask, nobody noticed.
do you ever get people asking for plasters / get fingers stitched up etc etc when they bring their animals in?
and how often do you get bitten/scratched?
No, but the vets tend to stitch each other up if necessary.
not ariadne. Arachne.
I bet they do
Husband tends to get kicked by cattle, he can have nasty bruises sometimes.
I didn't realize that your husband was also a vet?
ouch!
He was once bitten on the finger by a hamster, guinea pig or something, while doing evening surgery. Instinct made him flick it off, the animal bounced off and promptly died. He was mortified.
oh NO!!
Looks like I came in at the wrong time. Omg!
what did he tell the owner?
Yes. And it was a family with children watching. Major mortification and apologies.
oh dear, how awful for him!
oops!!!
hi NB
oh no!!!!
time for the dead parrot routine....this hamster isn't dead-it's just pining.
I know. It must have been awful for everybody.
hey, NB! :-)
I don't think he charged them anything.
Eva!
Hi Lynx, and Une, and everyone :)
rofl
but Haz, that's awful for him..doing it in front of an audience, as much as anything..
hello eveybodyfom snowy noth east scotland
hi Nancy
I need to know...did they ever come back?
Oh I know. It wasn't in any textbooks, that's for sure.
hi Jacq!
hey, jacq!!
and jacq
oooh Jac, you lucky thing!
i seem to have lost my 's
I don't know, lynxxx, I hope they realised it was an accident.
we have 5 inches with moe foecast, and it wasn't even supposed to snow yesteday
rrrr
We still have snow lying from over a week ago.
ours was almost gone Haz till 3.30 yesteray afternoon we coul rive safely by 5 pm it took my son in law over 2 hours to rive 15 miles
I want it gone! It normally lasts about half a day.
we've just got a few patches of DEADLY ice left on the streets where we live. Watching us leave the building is like watching bambi learning to walk...
what's wrong with this keypad
lol NB
The roads in the country and the pavements round about are horribly icy as well.
snowing again, my mum is supposed to be driving from glasgow today
oooh I can imagine, Haz. Ours should go soon, though, since where we live we get about as much people-traffic as Mecca
so funny to listen to the UK posts about snow. In Vermont generally there is snow on the ground from a bit before Thanksgiving through April. And it generally is about 3 feet or more deep by March. Just checked the weather at home and there's a windchill of -25
Hellllllllllllo
eva, for some reason our councils can't eal with snow
Humour us, Eva, we are but small ;)
we get it so rarely now and normally it lies a couple of days max, and they are never prepared
I know, we're rubbish at dealing with snow. We can deal with coolness and damp, anything like sunshine or snow pushes us over the edge.
Hello, herin.
hi Infernal
sunshine?? what is this sunshine you speak of?
hey, herin! :-)
It bewilders me. When places like Texas get stymied bu snow that makes sense, because it's so unexpected, but you guys do realize that you live in a northern climate, right? Why isn't this just normal maintenance?
How are you all?
because it is a rare occurrance
like sunshine
i remember last summer it was a wednesday this year
Its going to be hot as on NYE
Oh, I guesss that the coastal influence keeps the nsnow amounts down?
LOL Jac!!
Now sunshine we have no idea what to do with. We all wander around blinking, like moles.
They probably don't want to put the money into equipment that they think will only be used rarely. The same sort of reasoning that doesn't put air conditioning into houses.
Nancy How are you?
Oh hi, Herin! I'm grand thanks, after a rocky few weeks, very good :) how're you?
we get one day of sun and everybody (including people who normally wear tents) wander around half naked and red
Good. How was your Christmas?
oh lovely thanks...feels like it was needed! best christmas in ages. and yours?
it's snowing again, my daughter and her whatever have taken their baby out on her sled, very cute is her wee ski suit
Jac...torn between laughter and revulsion!
lol
PHRRTTT
Good at the parents place as we speak
Hello everyone. 15 degrees F here and we got 10 inches of snow yesterday. My driveway needed to be plowed out twice yesterday.

Hello, Katie.
Hi Miss Kitt!

did you all have a good Christmas?
I am glad it's over--crazy family.
Yes, thank you. It was enjoyable, but I'm glad for a day of rest.
lol, hubby & I didn't know what to do with ourselves yesterday as we never have 'nothing' to do
Good morning
Hi Gail
Good morning, Gail.
Relax + Babble, Kitt
moring Gail
only 30 words yesterday!
went to the shops this morning and now waiting for a delivery
Yes, that grid boosted my Babble Self-Esteem Score!
It was a bit of a shock to the system.
I'm still waiting for a monster grid.
I know, and we'll be out of practice.
monster grid will be on 4th January when I am back at work
If I have to have shoulder surgery, the dog will have to do the typing for me.
Haha, K
good morning everyone
What happened to your shoulder, G?
morning oddle
Hi Oodle!
:D
Well, I had foot surgery in August, and since I have lupus, my body decided to attack my right shoulder. Frozen shoulder, torn rotator cuff and torn deltoid and bicep.
Oh, no! You poor thing! Such suffering!
Oh no gail, I've only every heard of lupus on house
morning oodle
I'm through the worst of internal organ damage, but it still attacks my connective tissue and the foot surgery caused a big flare up. I'll get through it OK.
on get well soon x
Good luck, G. When is surgery?
I dunno, I see the surgeon tomorrow. We've been trying PT, but the muscles keep tearing.
but I have the Dr. Who Christmas special to watch later today!
It's time for me to get ready for work. Bye all.
I'm on vacation this week. No work!
bye Scrabs

Bye, Scrabbler.
love grey's anatomy but didn't know about it until the last season....
morning all, I'm sure its been said, but, how nice to have a grid in the triple digits... :)
morning red
and to have words that I have actually seen before, instead of all babblets.
neither did I ruby so hubby bought me series one to four for my christmas and I get the rest for my birthday
how many years were there?
we're in france and only some series get shown, usually years later
I watched series one of bones yesterday on sky and am currently watching series one of Life, i've seen both before but they are worth watching again
my favorite was Deadwood; they showed two seasons twice, and never showed the third one
I am watching season one of Pie in the Sky, a British detective series. It's so good.
what's awful is when they dub them into french
there are six series of Greys Anatomy
if I knew how to work the dvd player, I would buy it
you have TV broadcasting in the sky Katie???
I've only owned one box set before which was Soldier Soldier a fantastic series on over here late 80s early 90s
;-)
lol oodle
we have high definition sky over here ;-)
blu-ray player is here, would install it but hubby likes to feel needed lol He is at Mari's fixing her internet connection
we have lowering sky here....rain rain rain
I'm the one who gets to instal things here, mainly because I'm prepared to read the instructions.
today I have cold chilly sky.
men don't read instructions, maps or, when lost, ask for directions
repad
oops
lol Haz, I know where you are coming from. I usually confiscate the power cable until he has read them
lol
i thought it was snowing when I went out but it was pollen from pampus grass two doors up

Jeez, it's scary windy out there. I'm eginning to feel like Dororthy. The house begins to twitch.
Beginning
same here, hego
The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch. Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch. And oh, what happened then was rich. *The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.
Bravo!! Aussie

Bye Aussie

Hi BR

speaking of the devil !!
During school I have to give up on babble almost entirely. I kept typing hoe pretty Eva's ring was, but didn't want to distract myself...
*how
and I don't have much time these days for either chat or babble :( Greetings all.
aww, thanky uni. :)
Hello lovely!!
Hi honey bun :)
You look particularly cheerful and welcoming this morning(ish). *hops on Mama Fms lap*
hi FM - we are blaming the entire holidays on you !
dear fiance + our mothers + i are checking out some reception venues tomorrow. ought to be an interesting day!
LO of course monty - good to see you.
Keep asking for people, Monty, who knows who will come out..
*gives Uni a big hug*
Ohh, venues. Just don't fall in love with the one you can't afford!
Whens the big day EvaN?
nice seeing you Uni - say hello to your mom for me - with 121/70 and NBT, must start my day - BBL - happy babblings all "POOF"
i have refused to even LOOK at ones i cant afford. which sadly, is MOST of them... FM -- we are hoping for october. but i guess that will be determined by our venue!
Bye monty!
Take care, Luc, and I shall give Lori your wishes.
and just keep in mind that in a few years, it won't matter to you at all what the venue was
by loves ! "REAL POOF"
wel I trust you will keep us updated EvaN so we can dust off our babble wedding hats come the day :)
Au revoir, Lucien
heh, but of course FM :)
I very much feel a backyard or field wedding in my wedding future. Maybe the hill between my grandparents and my cousin's hosue. :) I could rent it to you for the low price of 40 k!
Bye for now. bbl
auf wiedersehen inge "ACTUAL POOF"
I can' t stop now as am working but had to say Hi briefly. TTFN.
Gotta get off this chair to keep the blood lfowing. BBL
Oh, you rats. Everyone runs away.
Uni :):)
uni, tell me about it! im almost inclined to take the money + elope.
Sorry love but I have 3 weeks work to catch up on :( *poof*
*pokes ata and hides behind uni*
Hello Ata, bye FM! *makes a good shield for Eva and the ring*
I've always thoguht a big wedding would be nice, but I hae 'wasting' money and I can see me, 4 friends and maybe a couple family members doing a tiny service on a field. They can throw us a party instead! :D
big weddings are just stressful
I finally told my mum a bit about my marriage "issues" this morning, and she promptly took husband's side and told me to grow up!
Mine did the same Ata.
Oh dear. Does she like hubby too much? I still strongly advocate Lori as a Mum. She's on your side!
i dont know that i want a HUGE wedding, but i would like to have all of my family + friends together for my special day!
I tell you to be happy, and growing up doesn't need to be a part of that.
I even managed to tell her that he slagged off mum's husband, and she *still* thinks the sun shines out of his ass
Eva, get them to do a potluck or something! It's only the reception part I like anyway. I love the dancing and eating. Only the number of people you can reasonably talk to or see
Ata, I honestly think it is an "age" thing. They grew up in the era where you got married once and that was it. You had to stick it out. And women definitely had a different "role" and "view" of their place in the marriage.
ha! I just sent her back an email telling her I didn't need to grow up tyvm
mum is on her second husband!
My mom has been divorced, so her knee jerk reaction is "stay married at any cost" which is just not helpful!
My baptist grandmother not only let me go without being baptized, but didn't really mind my mother and father breaking up. If she can get over it, your Mum can!
you have mice??? *changing the subject*
Hang in there Ata. I have to buzz off and get some work done! :-)
I will I will :)
The beau got home last night after his Christmas vaca at his parents and woke up after having a dream we had BBs again (I am still talking myself down about that one - just a dream, I hope) and Emma was staring down a mouse...we've had the odd one before, but he found an entrance route behind the stove. He is going to call the landlord and ask him to get the holes filled.
The mice bother me less than the dream about having bedbugs, since he doesn't react to them, we have to wait until I have been home for a week and see if I get itches again. Freaking me out.
eeeeeep! hopefully just a courageous mouse
mighty mouse?
p
you need to train up one of the teeny shed cats to track down bedbugs
I can live with mice, but the BB itching is maddening! I am trying to forget about it, since I can do nothing but wait and then sleep once I get home, I am trying to forget about it.
and give it a few days, cos you're bound to feel itching now, psychosomatically
Tracking them down isn't hard, you just look at my poor body. Killing them is. took four poison sprays from the pros and a LOT of washing, etc last time.
I also have to wait a week of no itches, because they only feed once every few days. Emma actually goes nuts when she sees them, as she doess with all bugs, so she is a good watchcat.
awwwwww
she's a very good girl
She is a good girl. Slept with me all the nights she was home. My sweetie! I hate being afraid to go home though. One dream should not this paranoia induce!
no, it shouldn't. but after last time, of course you're anxious
Wasn't even my stinking dream. I hope it was just his brain waking him up to catch the mouse, and not some subconscious awareness of tiny biting insects.
Four months of itching and washing and sprays and changing clothes all the time and worrying about spreading them. Anyway! Need to move on, can only react if it happens.
tell him no to tell you these things in future, silly boy!
I shall. But that would break our recent "tell each other everything" rule.
good morning, we were talking about mighty mouse last night when I left....
Alright. 11:24 here and I need some food! Take care, all. Next time you say "Don't let the bedbugs bite" you should make sure to mean it! :D
hello all
just make an exception for bedbug dreams!
hi asl
how many letters in the upper A, please?
I think I have af4 for that one, jane
thanks that was one of them!
or as4
ty, now have both! :)

Good Tuesday Morning, one and all!
hey, judi :-)
Morning, Judi!
(i'm in fl on vacation with ken... it's bad enough that i take the time to babble, but chatting would be truly rude, right?)
oh, wow, enjoy, dorens!
I give up. May I have a clue for the Se8, please?
it's cold today, but still beautiful
lol dorens minus 22 here today;(
Better than NJ.... freezing here.
se8 one who rides the ocean waves
a sailor?
indeed, i heard it is 18 degrees back home.. it's in the 50's here
what is the other 8????
I have the se7
ocean + fa5/16
I mean se8.... oops.
ty mom
ar7/8
S**** + beginning of duck down
Ty for the Se8.
(ar7/32 and plural)
can someone clue the lone "i"???
oops, S**** Wrap
well, I don't have the ar7 either, LOL.
Hi crossy!
i + poet ***an Thomas
*giggle* Crossy is flying his bacon flag today.
or i + singer Bob ***an
all hail the republic of bacon:)
thanks Une.
OMG... did not notice that Crossy... very funny.
hi crossy
yw :-)
it's good to be king... ;p
Got it with the poet... thanks.
hello all
hey, peri :-)
hi peri
hi, peri!
howdy peri
Can someone clue the ar7?
crossy, the respublic of bacon, now i have seen everything!
okay, I can stop lurking now - nbt, and good morning friends!
just clued, mom
OMG... I am on my daughter's new laptop.... but I keep hitting some random button and signing myself out, making the screen smaller... I am just not technologically savvy...
hey, trif :-)
OK... Une, like I said I keep losing the chog.
Uni clued ar7 at 9:45, but check both 9:45 entries
Di6/24??
Got it... thanks.
S**** Wrap + beginning of duck down
well, guess that would be Une, Uni was just here...
:-D
Now the screen keeps getting bigger and smaller... seemingly random, but I am sure it is something I am doing, LOL.
what's in your coffee, mom???
:-D
LOL une, I thought you meant "duck down" as in get out of the way!!!
LOL... I wish!
Hallo, hallo, hallo, babble friends. *Wanders in trailing champagne bottles and hides birthday cake in the PB.
The funniest thing is that my daughter is so secretive... she could work for the CIA... and last night I was on and this boy kept trying to contact her... I could not figure out how to respond to him....but now I know that she kind of has a boyfriend, LOL.
hey, sally :-)
Hi, Sally!
*Dispenses party hats and balloons.
is it your birthday today sally??? many happy returns!
Is it your birthday?
(it's mine)
*bends balloon into shape of cat for Sally*
Gosh, however did yoiu guess Trif? :-)
Happy Birthday to YOU, Sally!!
congrats, sally!!!
Judi - di6 = dwi**** down to nothing - W (hard to clue, soesn't even have a definition!)
Your birthday too Uni?
yes, I am astute that way!
yep
Anyway, I figured out how to respond... I was glad because I did not want the poor boy to think my daughter was ignoring him, LOL.
happy birthdy une and sally.... mine is on saturday!
didn't realize we shared a bday -- wonderful!
*doesn't
a bevy of Capricorns!
Happy Birthday to YOU!!!, Une!!
So we both had thoughtless parents, then Uni!
thanks rbud.... that was my last d.
tx peri :-)
mamabear shares mine, too
Happy Birthday to both of you!
Happy birthday, Sally & Une!
tx mom :-)
merci, rbud!
my son will be 6 on the 4th
*Takes a bow and throws roses to the crowd
My mother's birthday is January 3rd... I think that is worse! I once dated a guy who was born on Christmas.
ok as long as we're doing that.. my son was yesterday
By the third of January I am just kind of done with celebrating,LOL.... so she always gets the short end of the stick.
I confess, my son was born on 24th December. You would think I would have known better!
my dad's was 12/26
sally LOL!
happy belated bday to your son, dorens!
Christmas eve would not be so bad, I wouldn't think. I have a friend who is New Year's Eve... that's kind of fun. The whole world celebrates with him, LOL.
my friend karen had her only daughter on christmas day, and they celebrate her birthday every year on June 25th, which I think is a fabulous idea
My Mom was born on Thanksgiving and my Dad was born on Mothers Day
My daughter was due on january first, but she held out until january third. I really wanted to get all those first baby of the year gifts they used to give out.
wow, peri!
My niece was born on Thanksgiving Day, as well.... but both of those days change throughout the years.
Oh, gosh, that reminds me, our dau's bday is 1/19, she was supposed to have been due nearer Christmas, dragged on for 3or 4 more weeks, was a big baby!
i did that for a few years with my son's dec 28th birthday.
When he was little, people were very thoughtless. You know, a combined birthday and Christmas card, or only one present.
hello all. long time!
hey, lynn!!
sounds to me like a whole lot of people had sex at the same time.
My friend's son is Christmas Day... I always make sure I send him a card, at least...
Hello Lynn
almost everyone in my family was born in september. we always joke that everyone had a merry christmas!
Valentine's Day babies.
lol!
One year, he asked why there weren't candles on the Christmas cake - because Christmas was Jesus' birthday!
hi lynn
hello
its the rum and eggs nog that does it:)
Our church has a birthday cake for Jesus... I swear.
Saw Avatar last night in 3D! Amazing!
sally, that reminds me, when I was a child we always had a bday cake for baby jesus at church
Too far, mom!
wow, phae, sounds great!
phaeton... I almost went last night myself...
speaking of egg nog, had some potent egg nog this year lol
We always had a cake for Jesus when the kids were little.
Too far???
It was. I had never seen a 3D movie before
Sometimes I find 3D annoying
#D movies were popular years ago
Sorry, meant that's going too far! (for a church I mean). But perhaps it's an American thing more? Have never seen that in UK.
3D even, had to wear special glasses
They are coming out with a 3D television in 2010
A lot of churches have them here Sally.
really??!! wow, hadn't heard about that
Still do peri...but they aren't red and blue anymore
oh, ok
has anyone seen "nine" yet?
We do a children's mass Christmas Eve... so it is really for them.
It's pretty common in churches here. Teaches the kids what Chirstmas if really about.
no, but I want to Trif
you wear 3D glasses to church?
ruru, is that your pup in costume??
you can if you want ruru
One of the things I love about Babble and the community is that you learn so many things about other nations and other customs.
No, I heard it was terrible. Saw a clip with Kate Hudson on Letterman last night... OMG that child is beautiful and talented, but cannot and should not ever sing again, LOL.
LOl ruru.
yes the breeder is subjecting him to abuse and ridicule already
lol ruru
And I do love a good birthday cake...
really wanted to see it until i started reading all the bad reviews . . .
I actually kind of like her number - secondo and I have seen in on youtube a lot
I will wait til it comes out in DVD which may be soon :)
I can't imagine how it could be a bad movie, given the cast!
The New York Times raved about Avatar, but the NY Post said it was terrible... so, my husband was like, "who should we believe???"....
my daughter accused me of exploitation 'cause I had Xmas "collars" on all the pups :-)
it does have a good cast
I don't think you can ever believe the NY Post, dear....
i like her number too, trif
OMG... I just thought she was terrible. And there are many bad movies with great casts, LOL.
and yes, the cast is amazing
I need to make breakfast for mrs ru (also a Capricorn)
bb l
still don't understand why they didn't cast Antonio Banderas in the lead
he was apparently surprised as well
later, ruru!
maybe because they could get daniel day lewis?
have not been to a movie theater since 2005, wathc movies on tv or get them from netflix
No Trif I don't... I don't even read it... I am the one who reads the NY Times and told him that Avatar got a rave review there (fairly rare)... and he was like, "Well, the Post panned it so I don't know if we should go"... I was like, "OMG!"
but he was the award winning lead on Broadway
I shamelessly pirate them, peri, so I will be burning in hell
I heard it was good on Broadway... I never did get there to see it, though.
....but I will save seats!
how do you do that, Trif
trif LOL!
brb
saw Avatar yesterday. It was good, see it in 3-d!
I am trying to find Kingdom, Season 2 somewhere on the net... very annoying.
I found a link to a site, peri.
aha, wil have to look into that
PBS stations here were showing it and then they stopped after I got hooked... same thing with Doc Martin, but at least that one I can kind of find on the net.
surfthechannel.com
You should ask MovieMan. He's our resident movie expert.
ty
are we FB friends, peri?
looking forward to "Passing Strange" on PBS in January
OK... gotta run... see you all later.
don't think so Trif
later, mom!
Never trust the movie critics
"Just saying hello- maybe I'll do the last 56 tonight?
hey, kaplan!
phae, i agree except re certain ones I tend to agree with, like Peter Travers
Later!
ive read the books for years, but for the first time yesterday i saw james herriots "all creatures great and small on t.v"...lol that bbc created flick almost made me want to take my eyes out with a spoon lol
oh, that reminds me --- my very very good friend mary alice just finished working on a PBS series called "This Emotional Life" which starts on January 4th. Check it out if you have time
cool, will do, trif!
I like the bbc series... it is funny
loved those books, crossy
lol,Crossy. I remember seeing that series years ago on PBS. Tristan was paticularly annoying.
67 left, bbs
the books are a treasure in a place of pride on my bookcase, but ill never try the movie again
tisnt a movie, it's a tv series
trif, here's the trailer: http://tinyurl.com/y9cya27
I enjoyed the "All Creatures" TV series. Wasn't as good as the books of course. Then again, how many times can you ask an actor to insert his arm into a cows arse?
whatever it was..15 minutes was enough
it is always that way if you really love a book... the film versions never measure up
oh, crossy, i remember really enjoying the TV series "back in the day"
lol@ cow butts
hey, kje!
I really like those books too, but not sure I read all of them....got the latest sophie kinsella book out of the library yesterday, and read it all in one gulp! the library teases me when I bring books back the next day....
happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
tx :-)
happy birthday dear uneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
it was sooo wonderful, highlight of the weekend!
happy birthday to you!
LOVE Sophie Kinsella!
LOLOLOL! :-)
lol, tell them not to tease trif,i can remember when i was young returning 2 at once the next day
I don't think I know sophie... what has she written
thanks une!
Hi babble buddies! How is the grid, today?
good so far
shopaholic series is probably her most well know stuff
howdy beach..seems fine so far
hey, beach!
oh, ok
it's more than 30 words, beach, so it's a win!
i got the mrs the 4 book twilight series;)
how old une? spill the beans!
on kindle, crossy?
One of my fave patrons at my little library is a sweet little old dear with very thick glasses, she checks out 4 or 5 at a time and brings them back in only 3 or 4 days, her hubby assures me she reads them all, amazing!
yup,in e-book format
62, kje! a true geezer LOL
Rbud - my gram used to do the same thing. She was a reading machine. Crosswords too.
wow! would never have guessed that... your typing looks so young!
LOL!
big party tonight?
very, very happy birthday wishes, une!
hi everyone hi
hi oodle
howdy, oodle!
many thanks, trif :-) I was having a very weepy day but the chog has perked me right up! :-)
Hiya, Oodle!
hey, oodle!
oh my! why weepy? not birthday blues?
oh, I know those days well, une, so we are kindred spirits there! I am actually amazed at how well I have done over the past few days, not having my kids....
Bonne anniversaire, chere Une!
mine went back to Michigan yesterday :-(
merci, stid!!
Hey all
oh... sorry une
(((oodle)))
BON ANNIVERSAIRE UNE!!!

(((BEACH)))
but before she left, she baked me a wonderful bday cranberry tart!
merci, oodle!!!
grrrr, the P's are driving me nuts!
oh wow, that sounds wonderful!
oh, that is so sweet! she is a credit to you une
i'll put some in the PB -- it's yummy! :-)
unfortunately crosshair, the fourth twilight book is just about useless too. I was so disappointed in it!
this virtual food stuff sucks!!!! I want the real thing!
*deciding if weather is good enough to risk visit to Une's
LOL!
sunny but cold here in NashVegas, stid :-)
we can meet there stid - I can prob make it in about 4-5 hours
*avoiding the Twilight stuff, dau is addicted enough for both of us, lol!*
en7 anyone?
come on, ladies! LOL
nash vegas -- lol. we have a town here called marshfied which everyone refers to as marshvegas
hey, kate, I need that one too
yeah, I agree, kje... I am going to be making blackeyed peas (for luck) and greens (for prosperity) for New Year's dinner
can't seem to see it...
It will take me abot 20 hrs to drive, am boycotting flying for now.
oh, we used to always have blackeyed peas too!
don't blame you, stid
*stern mm
well, ive heard the ladies natter about it so much,i thought she would enjoy it
wow, didn't know they did that up there beach... are you a southern gal hiding in VA?
I admit to being a Twilight goof
love the books
ah, well if I have to drive... would be more like 10-12 or so
black eyed pea salad--scallions and bell peppers and herbs and vinaigrette
en7 = compound word, last page of a book
I am from Georgia
haven't read any of them, beach
*proudly hates twilight* :D
not a twighlight fan (hiding from the stones)
:)
Sorry my eyes are not awake enough to use the cellphone keyboard it seems.

worth it, good deal, actually
If Twilight were a people I would embrace their genocide

Poor hobbit
yw
I don't like books about abusive relationships
ah, poor baby, the Cone of Shame
Just woke up, kiddo! Nice to sleep in.
and she made it worse by sticking garland on it!
one more day of the Cone of Shame!
Back. Hi Ata!
truly
Have several bottles of champagne. Want one?
it is the cone of shame; my Cosmo is soooo ashamed when he has to wear one
oh, hadn't seen that -- too funny, ata! LOL
ty for the en 7--I knew it would be something I should have seen
is that cosmo in your pic?
Okay back later. (((Hugs an choclit for all except dogs who get treats)))

there is weed.... the grinch who removed christmas too soon
bahhhh, humbug
Sun is shining here, can see the upset birds at my empty feeders, will have to wade through the snow, sigh...
Hi featherbee
how fitting that green is today, grinch
what's funny is i thought daniel would have a fit. as soon as he saw the ornaments box, he begged to help, and i had to slow him down! when i told doug it was all down, he said what did we do, hoover the tree?
BBL. Work beckons.
woohooooooo only 258 more words to go yahooeeeeee
doug's out getting his new remote car starter installed, my big surprise for him.
go, oodle, go!!
258?! how?!
poor daniel, avoiding meals, getting rid of trees, sounds like a traumatic x-mas for him
oodle, you have a diff grid than me....
49 left here, may have to list soon
nope same grid ... the grid adds another word when I enter a wrong word
lmao
LOL
lol oodle
da gwid don't wike me
yeah, he's one traumatized kid. heh.
okay, need to go add value. see you later friends!
how is the grid, anyway? the kids are going to grandpa's house this afternoon, and i'm contemplating actually being lazy.
ok, list it is, I don't have all day to stare at this thing
it isn't bad... the first 150 went really fast
you said you had 50 left.
or 49.
what? you have a problem with my math?
um. nope. just figured it out. sheesh. my brain's on the fritz.
hi al....clue please for the FIRST na5/12 please?
it's OK, the math is bad... but took too long to type 142 instead
yeah, but it was a lot closer than what i was thinking. i thought you were off by 50 or so somehow.
no, not THAT bad... I do tend to exagerate, but that would just be plain silly
btw, your turn on hef.
Hi everyone, How goes it.
hi red!
my scrabble is wonky, but I will try
gm red
gonna go play some nintendo ds while i wait for nick to finish lunch. bbl.
na5/12 anyone??
I have it not.

ok Red, thanx!
Flask, na 5/12 is plural of word before or nothings in spanish

na5-12, plural of nothing, zip, ziltch, na**
TY Annie. Hello Bubba.

hi ru, its better than yesterdays...
the list helps ru
OMG, he is soooooo cute, ru!
haven't gotten to the list yet.. (pulling rabbits out of a hat)
do you have him yet?
no.. he has to grow up some more
Everyones dog icons today are adorable. I love terriers beach, but Ihave a Golden...
oh man... just makes you wantto cuddle!
the breeder is already dressing him up and subjecting him to ridicule
oh oh oh ruru i love rabbits...and beach called me a silly one
i hate dressing dogs up
I find most dogs don't tolerate clothing well. I have never tried it with Teulu.
(if the shoe fits ...oodle)
Goldens are awesome, red... I have just totally fallen for my little Cairn
morning all! any clues for the ar7/32 would be greatly appreciated!
Hi ddb....
hi!
no dog dressing!
must say, now that I am listing, these words are weird, I wasn't going to find most of these
loosing what little hair I have left!
a plus past tense of to move swiftly, and the begginging of a down pillow.
ugh ..you had to tell me that.
I am mostly all the time unless something or someone pisses me off then I am worse than a pitbull with rabies
I have 82 left. Not listing yet, its too early in the day.
Why isn't roly a word? Roly poly! Roly poly bird? Two common english uses right there.
I got to 150 last night quickly but have ground to a halt since
would you rather bang your head on the wall indefintely? cuz I have no problem watching that
I think Nancy it have 2 l's but I'm not sure.
PB Nancy!! the po4 is a word
exactly my predicament - listed with 49 to go
isn't it rolly polly
looks at lump on head
Hi phae.
Well Phaeton YOU'RE coming with me for a) giving me the word and b) drawing attention to it :D
Ruru, your puppy has gorgeous coloring.
*throws ru an ice pack*
red...how on earth do you find those! Thank you so much!
thanks red
thanks doc
I know the bird is roly p4...not sure about the somersault
I got the clue earlier from Haz, I would not have found it otherwise!!!
great teamwork! Thanks again!
YVW ddb,
good evening
Hi Sprite!!!!!
hi sprite
hey red :)
hi kje :)
** waves white hanky and heads to list **
OK, I am down to 25 and need a break - this is starting to hurt my head
the ice pack is getting to ru. with 78 left, I am still chugging at it.
sprite how is terra?
not a friendly grid then?
*bless you lickety.. wherever you are*
give it 20-25 more red... your wall is coming!
doing wonderful, red. Looking prettier every day and still as sweet tempered and funny as ever. Healthy and happy.
it is friendly for most of it, but the ;ast 40-50 or so get tricky
great to hear.
I don't think so!
Kje, I am already sittin on that wall!!!!!
hmmm ok slightly harder than average then. We'll see.
en 7 please
last page of a book, ash
thanks kje
any clues for ar7 plz? Can't seem to get it.

araine
na5 is a plural of the previous 4 - nothing in spanish
ar7 ends in a part of Self, according to Freud.
the bad part of self
the part i like - LOL
jk
nah not bad.
well... mischevious then?
strong willed?
troublesome?
hehehe that for sure
socially unacceptable?
the immoral part?
immoral isn't bad?
not necessarily. When kept in check by the other parts, it is a very important part of self - it makes us want stuff.
I love your bird there, sprite - gorgeous!
thanks :) Golden rings on his neck.
en7 anyone pls
Oops got it tx
yes, I picked up on that - LOL
got a word (sar****) that won't go plural???

Hello, sprite

like your icon, hego
Looking wistfully for spring. REAL wistfully!
What kind of bird beautiful bird is that, sprite?

Yes! Fireworks! And what a tricky, mean grid it was!
other spelling will work though, Ashley
gratz hego
tx Sprite
didn't find it that bad, actually, only a few nasty words for me. Especially the ea compound.
Not bad, tricky.
lol and mean isn't bad? Just a challenge?
Yup.
I've only been at this for 3 mos.
I'm a Babble baby1 lol
:) nah, you are a pro. And finishing grids. No baby anymore.
Oh good. I'm a toddler now.
sprite's an old age pensioner :P
god don't I feel like one sometimes. But you beat me, Ata.
true :D
Ata's a Momma Babbler
not by far though
3 months or something like that, I believe.
lol hego
and I ahve a few grey hairs to show for my time spent in babble land :)
heyyyy FM *HUG* Nice to see you!
you're still a young un compared to me and Sprite!
Ata is AAAAaaaaaaancient.
spritey sprite ((()))! LOL I know Ata 4 years count's for nithing.
almost a year younger, FM... Adolescent at best ;)
I guess I'll return to real life now. Have a good one, All!
yech, who would want to be an adolecent again?
*touches up her Babble-Roots, so as to appear younger*
Bye hego.
you too, hego
not for all the gold in the world, FM
lol EvaN and Hi again :)
you are much slimmer than I, EvaN... so you have more wrinkles :P
oh FM! the cone of shame is Off!
yay finished todays grid, that plus yesterdays completion makes 2 in about 6 weeks!
time for Babble-Botox!
wow FM, a record! Wtg sincerely though.
Is Hobbit frolicking happily now that the CoS os off?
lol @ Babble Botox
she's nibbling her tail *facepalm*
Just haven't had time sprite. Cone back on then Ata
Back again to finish. Sort of good news about Hobbit, Ata
EvaN - I'll get the cabana boys trained up so they can botox whilst you relax :)
but the skin is nice and unbroken, so we'll let her keep it off for a while and see what happens
FM, dear, just teasing you a bit, no explanations needed. Am only happy to see you, whenever.
Could you paint something nasty-tasking on the tail, Ata?
silly Holly
Bite-X maybe... my kids hate it profoundly.
Sorry, nasty-tasking sb nasty-tasting.
Like nasty-tasking thoiugh - like hoovering and laundry!
oh that reminds me of the stuff you used to be able to get to paint on your nails to stop you biting them - horrid *shudder*
gentian violet!
You can get a purple spray for chickens to stop them feather pecking
lovely, FM. could use a mani-pedi while im at it, but that have to be very careful not to tickle the feet!
Imagines Hobbit with purple tail.
nasty-tasking is just brilliant. We should keep it.
Agree, Sprite.
that's the stuff I meant, FM. Called Bite-X here.
Ah couldn't remember the name.
Mind yoiu, Hobbit would probably relish the taste!
could be very different at your side of the ocean... brand names can be so weird
My typing gets worse, sigh...
it must get pretty bad before babblers won't be able to make out the meaning, Sally. Don't worry.
Yes Sally - given that she eats or sniffs various dead sealife etc.
TY for your kindness and understanding, Sprite :-) Passes glass.
Sally - don't worry I have trained a lot of babblers as my spelling is usually dire and they can still understand it (thank goodness)!
*giggles* Bottoms up, Sally!
I am excused today :-)
That was a hint ...
oh my... finding fun facts over the icon themes can be so rewarding. Did any of you know that at some point geese were considered a FRUIT and not an animal, hence meat?
HAve spent the last 2 hours sorting filing cabinet and refiling documents - am all done now and know where everythign is again.
wonderful, FM. Can I borrow your filing cabinet now then? Got about 3 years of filing to catch up with.
How on earth could geese be considered a fruit?
Tell you what sprite - I'll come over and sort your filing for you :)
*Tries to imagine a goose tree.
It was something to do with the Church wasn't it re the geese?
oh PLEASE do, FM. I will keep you fed, in drinks, in hugs and all other things you might desire.
let me type it out, and I will explain
But FM, sprite's files are probably in Dutch. How well do you speak Dutch?
I think it harks back to Tudor times when you could only eat fish on Fridays etc and the goose was designated a fruit so that the rich could it it .. or something like that.
no need to understand, I 'd be happy to have it sorted on big name on top :D
hold on
hello all
lol sprite
Hi peri
Ata, glad to hear that the cone of shame has been removed
Ummm good point Sally , she and I could try French perhaps or she could supervise?
peri!!!!
hello, back for my last 107
67 left here
and Hey dc!
not liking this grid much
hi, FM, peri. sally, sprite
Hi dc!
Like yr take on the 5 gold rings dc :)
76 left here but was out having huge lunch.
i'm working on cooking lunch now. waiting for the broth to reduce
Shoot, forgot I have something cooking - back in a bit.
help with da7 pls
Medieval se8s had a strange tale on the origin of the goose. It seems that on the hull of their ships grew this long, goose-shaped barnacle. coincidentally, there was also an Artic goose that migrated around England. Since this goose and the barnacle looked a lot alike, the sailors said that the goose originated from the barnacle, and in some tales from a seaside tree. And as you can guess, because the goose came from a tree it was suddenly perfectly alright to eat on Fridays, for instance, since it was then considered a 'fruit' and not the 'flesh of animals'. By the 18th century, the goose was the customary Christmas dinner. The boar had been hunted to extinction, so it was no longer served. But many homes still served a string of sausages around the goose as a reminder of the boar in days past.

hey seain, good icon! Hi periwinkle
NM
Interesting sprite. TY
periwinkle is doing a periwinkle again, lol
i feel highly edumacated. :)
:) I went traditional 1st four days, thought i'd change it up a bit
I am at least consistent :-)
yvw Sally. I try to have a story like that every day with the 12 days of Xmas. It has been fun so far.
true periwinkle :)
hehehe EvaN, see, I knew I was good for something at least.
yay, lunch is done :)
most around here do ham for Xmas dinner
I've never eaten goose.
seain, my stories tell about the time of the 12 days of Xmas celebrations, not about now.
oh, duh, of course, sprite :)
what's for lunch, dc?
stuffing with corn and scallions and spinach and mushrooms
and i reduction of Vinho Verde
Ok, I will right over, dc :-)
sounds lovely! I really hope some of you are reading my daily icon contributions these days, because they are interesting and sometimes funny. So many things I never knew.
bbs
how yummy, dc!
am truly glad jilli came up with this idea for the icon themes in this period
ar7/32 pleasae
The wind is blowing wicked here in New England today
same here in the Mid-Atlantic, bichon
Tomorrow is going to be very warm, 32
that is toasty for up there this time of year :)
It was a great suggestion from jilli spite and am hoping that I can join in now that I am back up and running on the main PC.
no, it's normal. I've never experienced such a pre-Jan cold like this one
I hope so too, FM :) Gratz on getting the main one running at last, must be so pleasant for lots of things.
well, when i lived up there, it was much colder and wetter than what i knew from living around DC :)
The 12' of snow we had before the holiday all melted from the heavy rain we got.
does anyone know anything about steamers?
most of our 24 inches here id the same.
raining here, too, all the snowebirds are "desole"
I have one, Ata.
It means that instead of trying to work from one end of the dining table I now have my proper office back up and running :)
steamed clams?
some, ata, what specifically?
how wonderful, FM
trying to work out the advantages of getting an expensive one over a very simple cheap one
lovely, FM. Am happy for you!
en7 please
steamers... as in boat or as in removing wallpaper?
Just get a steamer basket that fits inside a normal pan Ata
as in steaming vegetables!
or for cooking?
but these have 2 layers ..
get 2 baskets then, doh!
ata, i think you should get the best you can afford sized to your needs
ok, then I second FM. It is the steam that does the work, so if you can close the pan with the basket(s) in it, it will work perfectly.
I agree with FM. We have two that fit on normal saucepan, and a separate one. Hardly ever use the normal one (but it does have two layers!)
No point in throwing money away on something that takes up counter space.
Sorry, hardly ever use the separate one.
i use a folding one that fits in most of my pots, myself. very inexpensive, and i've had it for years.
the favorite steamer I ever had is like what dc describes
en7 = last page of a book ..
hmmmm. how would I use one in a saucepan? *cooking cluelesss!*
Also you don't always want to steam two things together cos one can take on flavour of the other.
It sits on top
the folding ones fit inside a saucepan
the sides fold so they're perpendicular to the saucepan.
beach it is your turn...
you put water in the bottom of the pan and the 'steamer sits on legs above the simmering water with the lid on the pan - easy peasy!
you add water to the pan, just under the steamer; veg goes in basket
The best steamer is the bamboo one you just put over a pot of boiling water .. you can stack several ..
hi dc¸
Ata - come over and I will show you.
i sometimes cook my rice under the steamer, with my tamales atop the steamer. easy, one-pot dish
kay ooodle
ty
Our steamers actually fit on top of pan rather than on legs, but same priciple.
i use those with my wok, torg
hi, oodle
You just can't let all the water boil away
*whispers* what's tamales?
can sum 1 gimme a hint 2 the i word?
that's my problem. I like things I can just set up and leave
awe Ata ((()))
1st fa5/16 please
But steamed veg take hardly any time, Ata.
You need to learn to cook girl!
id4 rather perfect
Plural fa4.7
plural of fa4 7?
but I put things on the cooker and then go off and draw ;)
ditto to what wildcat said :-)
Buy a timer so it reminds you *sigh*
and as we all know, drawing takes precedence. As it should.
first one comes before the 4/7
Sprite, I think of id4 as a kind of poem, not as rather perfect.
but you can't time how long water takes to boil away :P
well talking of food my roasted bacon joint is resting after cooking so I must away to prep the rest of the meal. Happy babbling all and lovely chatting.
yum!!! *hugs fm ma5*
njoy, FM :)
fa + not out
no I want the fa5/16 before that
ooh, ty Ata for the ma5
enjoy, FM, and *hugs*
fa5 - starts like mythical little people, ends with a no variant.
ty dc
ooh, and it plurals :)
so what are tamales, dc?
yes it does
filled cornflour things wrapped in dried corn husks and steamed.
ooooooo
like a borrito only corn husks
i fill mine with cheese and spice peppers. unwrap to eat, topped with a spicy pepper sauce or salsa or pico de gallo
don't confuse them with cojones
2nd ma6.24 please
if there's a mexican part of your town, or nearby, you can got them easily.
sounds yummy
still trying to find Israeli couscous!
dc, I got the first part of the fa5 clue, but not the latter half
lots of recipes on line. I'm sure you can find maize flour, but the dried corn husks could be hard.
Ata, have some in my cabinet, don't like it
kosher/jewish stores have the large cous cous typical of Israel. I prefer the smaller stuff, myself.
I love it, it's just impossible to find here
I do too dc, I buy whole wheat at the health sotre [in bulk]
yes, that's what i buy too, bichon :)
this grid is making be go cross eyed
dc, did you see my ? about the fa 5/16?
ah, yes, teenaged negation syllable
n + first vowel
**, i don wanna
i thought it was fa + 3rd vowel
at start, yes, bichon

I've never actually been to Quakertown
I just mentally mapped where you, CJ and I live, and figured it was a good point to meet

se + **** to be found
**** a soul to be found rather
nice poetic clue dc, and quite appropriate for the chat log at the moment
sorry dc am not getting it at all.....
dee, maybe you can give a less obscure clue. i'm at a loss
someone else loves "Phanthom of the Paradise!" Still my beating heart . . .
flask, it means scarcely or hardly
A sede*t*** person is one who doesn't move around a lot or do anything. Wait, is that a real word?
if you look at a beautiful view you are looking at the sce***** (take out the c)
i'd never heard of Phantom of the Paradise. i shall have to check it out.
thankyou all....got it!!
don't know uni, got a bottle of Jack Daniels for Christmas and am trying it out so brain not too focused
it's good with coca cola, dee :)
I googled. I'm not crazy, it is a word and that is a way to use it. Well, I might still be crazy :)
yes, and ice
didn't like the first taste but it's growing on me, lol
Oh, it's like bad wine then...get through the first glass and then you're set!
perseverence is a virtue
i can't figure out the tile stats. where can i find the key?
can I get a clue for fa5/18 please
yum. I love this time of year, as it's the one time of year they sell Tim Tams here
have you read the help (button above this chat log) hadley
hadley, the grid below mirrors the grid above, and shows [how many words you've found]/[how many words start from that tile}
the help link above explains much, as does angelsong's babble page, link below
i read help, but couldn't find anything about tile stats
fa5 - one who fa4
Hadley, the tile stats are pretty simple, really. The boxes under the grid represent the letters in the grid and tell you how many words begin from each time. They turn grey when you have found all the words. The word stats underneath your word list represent the number of 4,5,6,7 words (and so on). They also tell you how many you have found so far and turn grey when you have them.
open lickety's babble clues link in friends of babble too
Beyond this, we often ask for clues and talk about words as sa4,4 and things like this. The first two letters refer to the first two letters of the word we are looking for. The first number represents the number of letters in this word (in this case, 4) and the second number represents the points that the word is worth (again, 4 in this case).
i notice, though, there are two "n's" listed. do they stand for different length words?
uniiiiiiii
no, just two Ns in the grid, hadley
ty dc, think that is a 5/16 but have it now
**begin from each tile. Sorry for the error. There are two Ns in this tile and each one begins a certain number of words. Words count as 'coming from' the first possible tiles, with each tile in the word needing to touch the next, unlike boggle.
OH! thanks, dcseain
how do folks know the score of a word they haven't found yet?
Ata! How are you feeling now? Mother gone away from the mind again? :)
1st fa5.16 - starts like mythical little people, ends with 'no' variant.
yes, back to husband being an idiot!
lickety's babble clues give a listing of the words by first two letters, number of letters/total points
link for that is under Friends of Babble
that's what husbands do, ata
thanks, all. very helpful!
We know the score for the words usually from the babble clues, found on Licketys, sometimes babanon and occasonally in the chat, a lot of clues are spread throughout the day.
I think I'm officially adopting Lori as my mom. Please inform her :)
Oh Ata, poo on hubby and poo on your Mum too. Leave them both behind ;)
Mum says she'll take you...
and dc as my big brother :)
ty lorikins!
oh, cool, another little sister :)
She doesn't send care packages, unfortunately, but she is otherwise an all around decent Mum.
she'll do :)
I missed so many simple words on my initial pass through. Made myself go halfway before looking at expert.
I have to say *moment of happiness* I love how Babble is a family
we certainly can bicker like one :)
LOL ohhh yes!
Ata pulled my hair! I'm telling! MOOOOOOOOOOM!

Hi Vic! Watch out when you sit, Ata's been putting tacks on the chairs. She's naughty.
I *love* frogs. I used to rescue them from driveways at school

I love frogs too. Uni doesn't. She turns them into frog soup

I'll stick to my wine, thanks.
Vi hears enough squabbling in the real world to make virtual squabbling unappealing! lol
reds and chocolate can be quite nice, really
ooo you dont? I'll send you some
LOL vi
I love Uni really <3
I've never heard of Tim Tams either.
they are really so so good
tim tams are yummy
Pepperidge Farm sells them this time of year. Safeway and Wegmans have them around here. They're Australian.
Ata's my favourite. That's why she gets peace candy canes. Hopefully she's not allergic...we can have cyber tea together.
very tasty, too
you can get normal ones and dark chocolate ones and caramel ones
they really are quite delicious
here, only regular chocolate and caramel available this year.
i had a couple of those when i found we were out of coke, so no turkey and coke for seain
awww. the dark choc ones are lovely
hello all!
hi TO! welcome to the family bickering
wb, TO. Hope your tummy is doing better
Hello TO!
Hello all. Don't know what I stumbled into this evening. I am just back from my next door neighbor's daughter's wedding.
just the normal babble chaos :)
oh, how wonderful, michnick! good evening
Hello, TO.
Hello, Michnick.
Oh, a wedding. I trust a good time was had by all
hiya vi! i too saw tim tam this year but did not buy. do not feel like eating
It was a beautiful wedding. My own daughter is like a sister to the bride so she was really decked out also.
uni that is cruel . did you at least give emma some hors d'oevres with her drinky?
(Sorry, distracted from chat by need to do emergency medical work on a fairy.)
huh. El Salvador has a Consulate in my home town.
hello all, back to find 35 words
awwwwwww
It wasn't cruel, trying to stop her was the hard part! She learned her lesson though, she doesn't keep stealing drinks when we tell her to stop.
looool/ hobbit inhaled too many sloes that had been used for sloe gin last year
heee! silly hobbit

it was rather amusing

hi y'all
Hello, wht and autumn moon.
hi, autumn
how are you enjoying Torchwood,Uni? or haven't you started/
does anyone have a clue for the en7?
I haven't had an opportunity to start yet, I don't think i will be able to until I am home with the beau on Sunday. At least the first season is only wwelve episodes! What season are they on?
en7/44 - compound word for last page of a book
about to start filming season 4/ but season 3 was only 5 episodes
the last page in a book, wht
I so so so hope you'll like it
Back again, with 49 left, I may soon get to go to the list!
Just popped in to see where I had left it last night. Will be back in a while to do some serious thinking
I love it and Fi loves it and Ayla loves it
Why was season three so short?? That's odd. I think I will love it, if I am ever home.
I have 102 left and am seriously thinking of giving up and crawling into bed.
OMG The Weekly World News is now archived in Google Books! :D http://tinyurl.com/y8h35eq
It isn't such a bad grid. but I've had all day to whittle away at it.
it was a one episode per night week long special
any more than 5 episodes and everyone would have been traumatised beyond any repair. It was definitely - emotionally tired
i have heard season three is fab and one can watch ieven if one has not seen the prior shows
*tiring
British tv seasons make no sense to me. They seem a bit arbitrary sometimes. And short. I like 24 episode seasons :)
yes, but the more one knows about Jack, the more amazing season 3 is
I remember your facebook updates during season three...
Torchwood 1 and 2 are 12 episodes. TW 3 is 5
"ea6" sack LOL
and don't let the beau catch you drooling over John Barrowman :D
DC that clue was helpful, if odd, thanks!
ty dcs. It took a little hunting but I found it.
I missed that completely dcs, another try?
The beau is already annoyed with my lusts over Supernatural...Oh my!
lmao. ohhhhh JDM <3
bu**** is a material for sacks or bags. make it ea**** instead
Thank you.
(i really like cluing with malapropisims)
ok, I can't deal with any more tonight. I'm going to leave with the happy thoughts of John Barrowman and JDM :) Night all! *hugs uni ma5*
Goodnight, Ata. SLeep well.
1st pr5 pls
G'night lovely lady! I'll be thinking of you when I eventually get to Torchwood :)
night, ata
g'night ata
Imagine, Prada in the grid!
nm
If it's not the devil's grid, at least it has the devil's shoes.
It must be hard to get shoes that fit cloven hoofs.
how goes it uni! emma looks too cute the little lush
hm. i wonder if he chews cud.
On the other hand, your average fashionable shoe for women is clearly designed to be an instrument of torment.
Actually I think it is the Devil's Grid and I say - Let him Have His Shoes!

Life is good, TO. A bit high stress and high stakes from time to time but I have come to the realization that 2009 was all about teaching me coping mechanisms. Yourself?
What's the icon for today. I need to change my 5 golden rings.
Must be six geese a-laying, if the pattern continues.
after 5 rings comes 6 geese alaying
not sure but it might be the 6 maids a milking?
Well. Vic, That is one thing I noticed at this wedding. During the dancing there was a huge pile of ridiculous shoes and lots of lovely young ladies dancing in their stocking feet.
I have 27 left- but I'm freezing to death. The heat can hardly keep up.
oh no, i have my song wrong.
I only know the first five days. All a blur after that.
It should be 6 gees a-laying, but I don't see any icons for that.
I confess I don't know why women tolerate them int he first place, but at least they had the sense to kick them off when it mattered! lol
Then 7 swans a-swimming.
Taking off shoes to dance is heavenly...even when they are comfortable. I've always been a big fan of bare feet.
I'm one chickadee a-chicking, I guess. =D
Shouldn't endlap be a word- you know, the final part of a race? or endr***- to wrap in cloth? Where is the logic?
There were still a fwe totterers in the circle but most had gotten smart. My friend (the bride's mom) was brilliant, she had the cutest black suede crocs to match her gown!!
it has been very very interesting. and 2010 will be devoted to finding a mate. it's time.
Yeah, but dancing in bare feet when others are still wearing the stilettos is very very dangerous!
8 maids a-milking, 9 ladies dancing, 10 lords a-leaping, 11 pipers piping, 12 drummers drumming
They should have had a circle of with and a circle of withouts.
Sounds exciting, TO! I must confess I suck at the finding, and got lucky five and a half years ago when I met mine.
That would be really funny, Michnick.
kaplan, there is no logice in ENABLE
Good luck with that, TO, but don't fall into the trap of thinking that anyone is better than no one.
I cannot talk since I am married already 22 years, but those who know say that when you throw yourself into what really interests you, you meet people you like with similar interests.
i won't,vi. but you have to get out there they do not come to your door. at least they have not cone to mine.
We could send some to your door...I bet FM has some leftover builders and such.
Quite right, TO. Be brave, be strong, and be yourself!
sarai n
Whoops, apologies.
Evening, all! Down to 13 but apparently I am called upon to produce a meal in the very near future. Desperate for a clue for the last--I think--pa6/21 and the middle sa 5/12 and close to the end sa 4/5. Any help out there?
test
hi rumple....we see you.
as in like sa5 through an hourglass, so are the days of our lives?
A+, Rumplestiltskin.
middle sa5/12 is a plural, a multimplicity of sa** (beach stuff) if you will.
Last sa4/5 is singular of final sa 5/12, the beginning of the sa7, a small fishy sa*****
I have the multiplicity of beach stuff
2 pa6/21's - 1 is a convict gets a par*** The other is a room used mostly in the older days. Have tea in the par***.
sa5/12s are as follows, then. First: plural of the 4, he sa**, she sa**. Second is beach stuff, third is plural of the beginning of the fish, the sa*****.
has anyone here made wine biscuits??
Anyone else need clues. I finished at 12:30 this morning.
Uniquity--Thx! I'm an idiot! Never saw those

Is anyone other than me interested in the Olympics coming in February?
Is there a reason why parlor isn't a word? Is it onlky spelled parlour?
yes red, but only the figure skating
can anyone help me with my en
Oh it is a word- it's just not on the grid!
Oh, yes it is!
it is a word.
I have been watching the figure skating that is televised all year....some of the Japanese girls are looking very good.
yaaay Kaplan!
I don't have en7. And sorry about the pa****- I screwed up.
Smacks self on the head.
It's Ok. I do it usually one time a day.
sometimes though i do it like 20 times in a row!
Babblebrains. It's because I switched from Soupy to Maynard.
The Japanese women are very, very good. In fact they just had their National Championships and their #4 skater was so good it was a shame she was left offthe team. The most likely winner of the OGM is a Korean woman Yun-ah Kim
Yes, Euna is pretty good. I had a teacher of statistics with the same name!
I fetched 7 swans, did they get into my icon?
I dont think she skated though.
Yun-ah is probably one of the best of all time, close to Michelle Kwan
She won the Grand Prix Final
I always wondered what happened to Tara Lipinsky, she just seems to have quit after her Olympic victory.
hi all
Inge, there are some very beautiful swans in your icon!
Tara Lipinski just announced on Twitter the other day that she is engaged to be married. Not sure what she's doing these days...
Tara quit after '98 O's and skated professionally for a while. She had a very bad hip, needed surgery and hasn't done much since
I really liked her, and I kind of liked that she did ehr thing and then exited the scene a bit...though I dont like her having a bad hip.
She developed a bad hip from overpracticing. She was not well liked by the skating world. Really nasty skating mother
Ah not that is unfortunate for her.
laters
i am missing en 7
I don't know why but I sometimes wish for there to be newish blood in each Olympics. but then again, I do have some of my favorites...
Well, F's finished.
Speaking of bad skating moms, who remembers Marjorie Chin? Pretty much destroyed Tiffany's career...
Now, I am thinking of Nancy Kerrigan....and Tanya Harding, but I think thier mothers were not involved....
i just finished my ns
Nancy has a nice Mom, Tonya's mother beat her with a hairbrush when she didn't skate well and Marjorie Chin was enough to drive any skater crazy
Yaaay April.
i like your piicture red
TY April.
Wow, I am learning alot abotu the skating world....
I liked Elvis Stoiko from Canada
do you by any chance know the en 7 word
It is the last page of a book april, a combination word, the en* and a part of a tree.
The last page of a book

My dreamboat skater was Phillipe Candoloro What has happened to him?
ty red
Phillipe is a professional in Europe, or at least he was
I remember the name. I like the current champ, evan Lysachek or however you spell the last name...
Michelle Kwan is in grad school and is a Goodwill Ambassador for the US
Evan has a good chance for an Olympic medal this year
He is good, but Phillipe would strip out there.
anyone wants any skating info I'm at muffinbiscuit@gmail.com
I'm going to go look.
One time in the ER, I treated a lady who was in her 90's, about 19 years ago, she had been an Olympic skater for I think, Canada back in the Ear** years.
It was interesting to hear her talk.
oh my i meant 9 years ago....not 19...
and sorry i killed chat.
se8?
HI everyone. Red, was the lady Barbara Anne Scott? My father talked about her like he loved her.
se8 - compound word for sailor
I don't recall her name, she was very sweet.
thx for the se8
thanx wht!

TY wht.

Bugsaw how are you?
SOrry red, I went for some food. Didn't mean to ignore you!
I am fine. I am truly enjoying this week of holiday
Do you have family visiting?
Most of my boys live about 3 hours drive away so they all celebrate there. I went down there to see them and the grandkids before the big day. Then I came home to have a quiet time with my husband of 3 years and my sister and her husband who had no kids home for the first time. It was fun.
I only have a small house so when a family of 5 shows up to stay, it is pretty chaotic.
How was your holiday, in your new house if I recall...
My parents have a similar problem when we all show up...I think the quiet holiday is nice...
I worked...but I got updates on the telephone!
I am sorry you had to work but I am so incredibly grateful that health care workers are so dedicated.
LOL, we have no choice. but,it wasn't too bad, and its oer!
It must be fun in maternity
I imagine it is.... they usually put the new babies in stockings and stuff.
Oh what fun for the new Mums!
CLue for the sa 6, 21? Begging here...
that en7 is an odd one, isn't it
My first son was born just when there was a shift change going on and they asked if some extra people could come in to welcome a new life before starting or ending a tough shift. I will never forget how hard your line of work can be and how special a baby is.
sa6 ... birkenstock, flip-flop
Sorry I can't clue, just got here myself. Hello everybody; how are you doing?
don't have the sa 6, just the 7 so far

maybe the way you called the breeder "abusive" was a clue? I am sure you never buy from an irresponsible person.
no.. I am just kidding..
No kidding. I am oddly attached to the checks.
I have a great, great breeder
I know, ruru . You always take me so seriously. I wish I could get inflection in the chog instead of the lame lol
I had a complete thyroidectomy, red. My goiter had my airway down to 40% normal size, and my esophagus totally occluded for 2 inches. It did't *look* bad from the outside; but my "asthma" has gone into complete remission since surgery! :-)
I AM getting pretty excited about having a new dog though
omg nef.. wow..
When do you get your new pupster, ruru?
Do you name him or does the breeder?
glad you are breathing easier, nef.
I have only had mixed breeds, Can you tell?

2nd ra6 = pl the ra5 before it
well, might be a ra 6/21 or might be ra 5/10 or might be ra/4
the last ra4 = r + "ocean"
pini, check your word stats and see which box is not filled in, 4s? 5s?
(anagram)
ack, i meant jayk, not pini
ah! it's the 6 letter one
both?
check my clue from 7:43
I ra6 clue words right ( =] )
pini--to obscure
r + *** you going to SF + repeat first letter + stick + sometimes vowel
ra4 (scarce) + adverb ending
ra 6/21 = went faster than a walk + drivers licenses are a type of **entification*
Jayk, do you use Lickety? It would really help us clue if you would use it at this point
or what Gwen said!!!!
gandhi ra**** ever punched anyone. LOL

RA's DONE!! :)
Pini, did you get my ra 6/21 clue?
1st ra 6,21 plz

Dusty...do you use Lickety's List?
I'm new to the chat - I've enjoyed your dialog for a few weeks now...hope you don't mind my jumping in! I'm down to 6...need help w/ fa4=7
Dusty...do you use Lickety's List? '
no
OMG! Thanks everyone!! FW!!
welcome aboard, April!
wtg jayk!!!!
yeah Jayk!
I don't have all of the fa4/7's yet...so I may not be of much help.
i have a bunch of 4a7s. how about one that rhymes with sn5, kind of like growl
welcome april, do you know which fa 4/7 you need?
wtg jayk !!! ~~~ !!!
Dusty...right mouse over Licket's Babble Clues under Friends of Babble below the grid, open it in a separate window...you'll see a list of the first 2 ltrs of all of the words in the grid
all fa4's llol
Pini, i'll build some spreadsheets and make a presentation containing DB overview, if that would be helpful
OMG I SO aspire to someday be at the flip, but SO unlikely given my need to be asleep by 9 EST US. But that would be SO grown-up!
1st fa 4/7 rhymes with what falls from the sky
I think it's the last one! I'm not exactly sure how to tell!
* giggle * good one, jayk!
last fa 4/7 a long distance away + 4th vowel
chickens?
april...follow the instructions for Lickety's List I just mentioned to dusty...it's a great tool!
but i dont get how it works tho..
got that one :-)
the last fa4/7 = fa + **w your boat
SA7, pls?
doe, a deer, a female deer?
sa7 = very FISHY, dc...literally
ea6,21....plz
re, a drop of golden sun
oh, that WAS in there
Thanks again, guys. Didn't think I could pull this one out. See you tomorrow
YEAH! TY
sa7, a fish, a smell-ee fish . . .
ea 6/21 what you hear with + what you have that goes away when you stand up
dc, the "example" would be great, but don't go to great lengths any single one
g'night jayk!

pc
ok...do you see Lickety's List below the grid?
ye
ok...resize your browser so it uses about 3/4 of the screen
i am addicted
mouse down to Lickety's List and right click...open in new window
k
resize it to fill in the remaining 1/4 of your screen
put the windows side-by-side
(I usually put Lickety on the left)
when i do tht it opens up in the same tab....
nd takes me 2 a dif website so yea
right click on Lickety and "open in a new window"
lol k got it
right-click, dusty. Have 2 windows open
(are fletch and april paying attention - if interested?) :)
are the windows side-by-side now, dusty?
hiya Nef :)
<--- puts Lickety on the right
yes
Hi Pini.
<-- really uses Expert :)
*I* put lickety on the left! ;-) (being a lefty....)
<--- uses Expert when on a PC, usually on MAC, so stuck with Lickety on the right :)
ok...now, copy the words in your list (My Word List) (highlight and press Ctrl-C)
Expert doesn't work for macs. :-(
huh
not yet, nef...maybe someday! :)
k highlighted
dusty...next, place your mouse in the large empty box at the bottom of Lickety's List
press CTRL-V (to paste your list in the box)
then press "Bulk Add"
k
when you do that, the list above will fill in all the words you've found
...and you'll know which ones to ask for clues for :)
(sorry to have taken over the chog - hope y'all didn't mind too much)
o ty
lo4?
remember to do the copy/paste periodically to keep updating your list
nvm
It's okay, Pini. Don't forget to remind them that for a one time fee they can play and see fireworks forever too! :-D
le5?
of course, nef!!!!!
did you just le5 something, Dusty?
dusty...remember to say which one...there are 2 le5s (the first or the second?)
thx Nef...I needed that one, too!

indeed, fascinating work. became a fan on FB and we friended one another. very outgoing he is
I'm stumped on the baby carriage cause I can't get the adjoining r anywhere close to the other side of the grid!
wonderful! i love when things connect like that!
gr5/16?

gr 5/16 ... wine is made from it .. or gr*** jelly
i had tht-.- lickety didnt put it in...
remember, you have to refresh your Lickety List by cut/pasting periodically!
Lickety won't add it automatically...
i type in both each time
le4/7?
unless you have BabbleExpert
hi all
dusty, there are some quirks that I haven't figured out because sometimes 1 or 2 words just won't be entered on Lickety the first time for some reason
like a LE4 on the wind
bookwyrmish? i see in your profile that your eldest does some work on RPGs ... my son in law is a graphic artist in that field .. please check out his website (and share with your son); http://www.ryanbargerportfolio.com/
hi jilli! How are you?
evening, jilli
hi jilli ;)

BabbleExpert adds words automatically to both Lickety's list and the Word List
ty dc

don't worry, dusty...we're just talking about you! :)
I believe it costs all of $15? to go Pro. That's the 1 time fee for joining
le4/5(2nd)
welki, I'll pass along the link. Eldest has worked on non-Wizards stuff. The Battlestar Galactica, Serenity, and Demon Hunters RPGs.
dusty...PRO status = $14.95 for a lifetime membership to Babble! :)
Thanks for the help got to get my daughter to bed ,I might come on later *POOF*
which means you'll always get the stat tables below the grid and word list and firewords when you find all the words!

just looked at jill's icon change -- we have a tr 5/10 on board?
1 1/2 parts white creme de cacao, 1 part chocolate vodka, 1 part espresso vodka, 1 part vanilla vodka ... you already have half the ingredients!
nan, someone who insults babblers with foul language and lies about having finished and pesters for clues for obvious words qualifies in my book.

hi babblers!... back for my last 53
beach! nice to 'see' you!
I guess I'd better go and get supper -- back later to clue if needed (I finished this afternoon)
hi, beach
Hi beach :)
did any of you see the beautiful obituary for Tim Hart of Steeleye Span in the Guardian today? http://tinyurl.com/yfanl8s
Congrats a bit late, jilli
njoy, jilli :) and congrats on completing
Nef, how you feeling?
no prob, nef, did it lurkingly ;)
ohhh, i have searched high and low for a steeleye span song for years now
afternoon all :) babble expert not working for me :(
i give up.cant find those down feathers or the duck or the meteor. sorry all.
hi, mrp, good afternoon
hi mrp -- what a bummer -- why???
im out til flip
hasta, dusty, be well
mrp, have you cleared cookies and restarted browser?
just tired, sean. I've been playing with my incisional swelling: I have a "wattle" that wiggles and tremors when I've overdone. It's kind of weird
seain, a song called something like, Harvest of the Moon .. have you heard of it?
my computer just loves to hate me
yes i have, welki
nef -- did you have surgery? Sorry, I must be out of the loop.
i can find the music, but not a recording of it
hi mrp. How's your weather? (it's below zero (F) here
hello, mr p!!!
lala.com has it according to google, welki
clue pls for da7?

*looking for it*
ty
jilli, I had a total thyroidectomy last Wed. for a goiter that was choking me; I'm doing great! I was on a ventilator overnight and was discharged from ICU to home on Christmas Eve
da7 -- more than one da5/18 (male fashion-plate)
steeleye span harvest of the moon is the stirng i googled
wow Nef, hope you are feeling better
found it. i've never used that site ... you can buy the music?
Yikes, nef! I was away then. Little pills, here you come!
i don't know, i've not used it, merely know it exists
from ICU to home, wow Nef
lol .. okay then, i'm off to listen, will let you know how it works .. .g'night everyone
bye welki!
g'night welki
I can breathe, mrp. It's a wonderful feeling to discover that my severe "asthma" is mostly totally gone
that is terribly exciting, Nef!
rats. "music for international users will be available soon."
jilli, "little pills" are lots cheaper than lost of inhalers! :-)
hm.
and ... congratulations on your successful surgery and recovery, nef!
di 6, please?
napster.co.uk has it, welki, so there may be a source for Canada
di6 - you spin thread with a drop sp*****
or maybe last.fm
indeed, welki
I bet, nef, and quite a relief. I didn't know goiters had to be removed surgically -- thought iodine helped. Pls enlighten me.
ty seain
seain, I was a *Really GOOD* patient! :-) they used a special breathing tube on me that had extra electrodes so the surgeon could track my laryngeal nerve; I wrote notes to the nurses on how the tube and wires worked! :-)
excellent news nef! must be a new lease on life for you!
how cool is that, nef!
when tom was in ICU, he was wanting them to increase pressure support, but had no way to tell them, as he was writhing in pain and could not write. The extubated him 3h out of surgery as a result due to his overbreathing.
(I also wrote a note -while drugged- asking "how soon til choclit?")
wow, nef -- you're a wizard!
good to know you had your priorities in line, nef
HEYYYYYYY MR. P.. you are back?
LOL Jilli.. the best Icon ever!
hey ruuster!!
hi ruru! (All my best pals are here and pouring in and I have to get supper, waaah!)
I have always had normal thyroid studies, jilli. Strong family hx of thyroid and goiters; was mis-diagnosed as a child as hypothyroid, so have always had it tested.
have you been okay or just busy with the holidays?
don't go jilli!
last PA6 is a town outside of Annapolis, Maryland. There used to be a prison there, which is how it got its name.

we do miss you mrp. I haven't seen you for a while
hi to those who've arrived since I left
oh come on ruuster! don't make me wait
Nef -- thx for the family hx -- any idea why? We used to be taught that it was a lack of iodine in the water supply for certain areas, hence iodized salt. Is there a genetic factor that's been discovered?
first fa 5?

and it is great that the kids converge at your place.

LOL mrp
jilli, there is a genetic factor; kind of like heart disease and hypertension. My family is from NW MN, but we've always used iodized salt (no oceans around there)

Happy New Year to all my BabbleBuds (those who are here preseently)
maybe she was holding out hope that her "feelings" would come around?
I sent all the squares to my house and i will count them and see nef

hi just
hi jmc hny!
no pini my mother never came around it is just that pure scottish blood mixed with growing up in the depression
is it made of granny squares, jmc?
bye TO
I was tryin', jmc :)
no it is a more complicated square
you are a sweetie pini!
darn. I've been told that just about anybody could do granny squares (but I haven't tried it yet myself)
(((jmc))) that is a difficult task -- have done it once for a grandmother, and advised Mother on what should be saved when they put Granny in a nursing home
hey pini
it is a very pretty cream in a moderately fine cotton yarn
hey all
should I start this one?
granny sqaures are a snap nef
stiddie!!!!!
hi stid!
I learned to do granny squares in elementary school
jmc, I just have to sit still and behave so I can le*** to do them! :-)
yo stid!
I'm down to 26 and, if you start, I'm sure you'll still be able to pass me! :)

I le***ed from my grandmother whose teaching style was to grad it from you to "show" you how to do it right
jmc, the I was my last tile for NBTs. It's an id4
I have the I but thanks nef
well, that's one way to do it, jmc! LOL
she was a great seamstress but a terrible terrible teacher
ironically both of her daughters, my mother for 43 years and my aunt for 52 years, were wonderful teachers
I'm a Lefty (as stated previously) and didn't have anyone able to teach me when I was young. But I bought a book and taught myself to knit, so I think I could le*** to crochet IF I put my mind to it
I could use the right hand E
prada should be a word!
they learned "how not to do it" jmc... that can work too.
the nice thing about crochet is that it doesn't matter which hand
I said that earlier, too, nan!
my grandmothers were both lefties, but I (ambidextrous but favoring the right) learned a lot from them anyway.
maybe so stiddie
go nan go!
right hand E??? *looks around hopefully*
stuck on those first 3 pr's
to the en4 of the earth
jmc, it isn't the starts, it's the en** that matter
en7 = last book page
*smack*
nan...baby buggy (dbl the vowel)
then plural
ty nef and pini

that would be nice, JBV -- how about the N? I have indian bread and the "nothing" words

i just aimed you

Oh yes, recovered now, thanks, stiddie
(((jill))) what an adventure! and people don't understand why I don't like to travel...
Mayday, every day, my day Could've had a heart attack, my heart We don't know anything, my heart We all want something fair, my heart
I'm sorry for people who plan to fly anywhere these days
I hope I can change my icon to the proper one now.
I won't fly again jill. I decided it definitely this past week.
Stid/Jilli...do either of you have a clue for the PR 5/14 & PR 6/24?
hello car
baby buggy, double vowel car
and plural of course
Hello Stid! Hello Jilli!
This is a sickening victory for the terrorists, even if there was no explosion, because we feel that way.
TY!
down to 44 still. very stalled out
4 to go here...can I help with anything?
I can clue, stid -- finished this afternoon
I don't feel this way because of the terrorists, jill -- I feel this way because of the stupid, infantile, inept way the government is focusing on things that inconvenience average travelers and do nothing to stave off a serious attempt.
go car go!
Yes, stid, but this ineptitude was caused by the terrorists
How about the second MA 6/24 please?
ma + printer's measure + commercial
Good grief! TY!
yes, weird, eh?
99 left, night all, got to hit the sack as they say
no jill -- the ineptitude is caused by STUPID people who think closing the barn door late does anything at all -- and who don't understand that a truly sophisticated, determined terrorist would choose different vectors that are more damaging and freedom reducing on their own (without the government deciding to spy on citizens and restrict movement and... *shrug* I think they would do well to take a deep breath, a bottle of xanax and think carefully before they make absurb, global decisions that don't really have an effect.
sweet dreams cherly!
thanks for the MA word!
sorry, that was a rant. *upset mama look*
Nite Cherly
No worries Stid! You can vent to me anytime!
Are there any fae words?
stid, I agree -- my point is that the terrorists started this whole idiocy -- I should send you a cartoon from today's paper plus a commenting article
personally, I think this particular episode was a copycat, for whom the real terrorists are happy to claim responsibility... I suspect he is a sad, mentally ill individual with no real training or affiliation.
stifle the media and the problem goes away. no 15 minutes of fame, no point, no problem. nice theory anyway......
yes, car -- fa5/16 and its pl
the media is only too happy to publish "how to" manuals as they describe various events, which are easy enough for susceptible people to use a templates for copycat cries for help
well BJ, I would stifle the media... with less reason! *wicked mama grin* ***Hugs for BJ*** how are you?
Hi BJ!
oh! and BJ! I found the BEST recipe book -- vegan AND gluten-free. I can eat everything in it. and we have made lovely things already.
so would i, but some people believe in freedom of the press.
thanks for the FA words!
haha! I think everyone could benefit from taking a little Xanax every now and then!!
Finally just got 'em! TY for pointing me in the right direction! Just 1 more to go...and it is eluding me!
they can be free as they like, BJ... in the box I would put them in. LOL kimm!
omg -- no gluten either, stid???
actually jill -- it's trying to avoid wheat... gluten doesn't seem to be a significant issue. But since wheat has specific qualities, I am finding it hard to bake without it.
oooh. down to 39!
Hey, stid, I am gluten-free too!
I just can't get this last word and my eyes are all blurry....may I please have a clue for the en 7?
en7 = last page in the book
thanks kimm! it is nice to not be the only one in the world. I live now with an epipen pack on my belt from the animal product allergies... one of my teachers is gluten free-or-die so there are some points where people understand. And then there are the people like my father who keep saying how much of a bother it is to make accomodations and how weird my diet is.
go car go!!!!
Here's a letter to the editor of the Victoria Times-Colonist today with sounds good to me:
thanks jill! *waits for link*
Fireworks! TY! It took me a minute to understand the clue!
wtg sistah!
YAY car!!! *still trying to understand clue*
Well, a lot of help I was with the clues! Sorry! But thank you all very much!
128 left... i dont think its going to happen today
>.<
The primary aim of terrorists is not to kill as many of their enemy as possible. (Of course, they have no compunction against murder.) Their aim is to disrupt the lives of people by spreading fear and to destroy the economy. The incident on Dec. 25 by the terrorist trying to blow up an airplane has been judged to be unsuccessful, because not one person, other than the terrorist, was seriously hurt. In fact, this attack was successful: The U.S. immediately imposed draconian regulations on airlines flying from foreign countries. These regulations disrupt people’s lives and most likely will cause detrimental economic effects. For fear of being accused of racial profiling, these new regulations will apply to everyone, not just those who are most likely to be terrorists. A more sensible approach would be to require passengers to submit their names and passport information two days before their flight so that the U.S. authorities could determine if they should be allowed to fly into their country. Hello My Dear Pini! Happy New Year to you!
likewise, sistah! :)

I have got's to get me some sleep now! Good night all my friends! See you tomorrow!
hiya MissO; wb dusty
night sistah! :)
Sorry-- that got in here twice -- no idea why
yep. that's my point, jill -- and when the economic effects of the government's hasty actions are felt (or predicted) by the airlines, they will lobby for change. That will mean that they will have to beat a retreat, and they end up looking even more like the fools they are.
hey pini
it's ok, jilli...I stopped reading when it repeated...and it makes sense!
oh kimm, I am so sorry --
sweet dreams car! see you again soon!
I have not had a single full-fledged migraine since I completely cut wheat from my diet in October!
now I'll change my icon back to the proper one (I hope)
hello miss!
I'm hungry...does that mean I should find some dessert?
hey mama!
okay, pini, put the chocolate down and step away from the whipping cream....
oh! is tomorrow the day you get together with the grands again?
but I don't have any whipping cream!!!
then get some so you can step away from it! LOL
what about buckwheat stid? it's not wheat at all (rhubarb family)?
yes, stid...excellent memory...but just the older one this time ;)
yes! I actually bought a couple pounds of buckwheat flour today, BJ. Mother had just a little bit in her pantry, so I got more. Hope to try to make something with it tomorrow.
I think we're going to make some Fantasy Fudge, have lunch with PiniKidB, then perhaps take in a movie :)
guess what? chatting is NOT getting me the last 39 words!
I LOVE buckwheat waffles!
mmmmmmm. fudge. movie! fun!!!!!
125 here mama >.<
* sending focus beams to stid *

I know how that feels, autumn!
oh dear...nothing like waiting until almost the last minute! :)

Brandy - I didn't know you were in Trenton or I would have stopped in during the summer.
omg my dick is so fucking hard who wants 2 come suck it
Oh, stid...forgot to tell you...had to go to the office for a few minutes today. Checked our incoming mail and found it to be a heck of lot less than what I was anticipating I'd be returning to! * major sigh of relief *

hi pini, moon, stid et al
DrG notified
is it possible to block certain people??
BJ, there are two companies I use the products sometimes (they are expensive so just for special occasions): cherrybrook kitchen "Gluten Free Dreams" has some nice cake and cookie mixes.
"Gluten Free Pantry" has the same.
I see we have skipped straight to red
thanks jill, he's getting it in stereo then! LOL
I love "Gluten Free Pantry"!
when it happens, mrp, we don't get a warning light! LOL

have you guys/girls heard about our 'situation' with floods in the country?
go kimm go! LOL
oh well!
oh, no, mrp!
tks kimm....
um, kimm -- how close are you to tri cities? my inlaws live there (technically, they spend a lot of time elsewhere though)
yes, I have been reading alternately about floods, fires and kangaroo infestation, mrp
well, my dad is in the middle of it... he is surrounded by water... and he is working in the shed on the farm and a big piece of metal is lodged in his leg.
He can't get off the property to get it operated on.
oh no mrp! no helicopter? I assume it's not in danger of severing a major blood vessel?
He is now into the 3rd day of no pain relief and no medical help in sight... and I don't want him losing his leg on account of the floods
Stid- I am about an hour and a half north. In Spokane area.
is there anyone else around who can handle the farmwork while he rests? *very very worried mama look* I am putting him ON TOP of my list, right next to ren and joey.
oh, terrible, mrp!
kimm...you went pro!
I used to live in Walla2... SO glad to be back on the other side of the cascades! LOL
...and I'm slow...belated congrats!
OMG MrP. Can a helicopter not go in?
stid, that is why I worry, cause he won't rest. He is a subborn old fool like his daughter!
yes, Pini. I had to!! lol
if you want mrp, I will fly over, swim out to the farm and carry him back.
there is a runway on the property, but it is under water...
oh, THAT's where you get it! *giggle*
Horray for Kimm!! Now to get your flag etc -- just go to your My Account and check that little box, upper right where it says Show Profile :)
resistance was futile, eh, kimm? LOL
I will call him now... check on him... brb
oh, mrp, how awful. I'm surprised they don't medivac him out.
*Hooray
I'll show you how to change your flag kimm... since I won't finish the grid anyway... brb
stid, I just did show kimm
okay, there we go. See, already I am in Australia, ready to help mrp
stid, you're a goof, but a nice one!
it's when you choose your "country" kimm... and if you don't want to have a colored purson, just don't pick male/female.
LOL jill!! *hugs*
I can't figure it out.
should we all go south to help out
you did great, kimm...worked like a charm! :)
I think that is a lovely idea pini
