hi dalmation, but you'll find them pretty normal words

I have that one already...but thanks...
oh yes, but then there are always other babblers who can help clue
sorry - hit the wrong box!
I think the Babblers are so neat. They are so friendly and as you say always willing to offer a clue. Other sites often do not want to welcome new folks.
dalmatian, do you know about BabbleExpert?
groovy???
no, what is BabbleExpert?

where have you been???

planning my moving house
such fun Kiwi
planning what?
if you have a PC, Expert puts everything on one page, including Lickety's list, and has a box where if you type one word it goes to both the word list and lIckety's list, and if you type more that one word it goes to the chat.
you only become old if you have more regrets....
tr 5/7/9/8/6 combo
check my facebook update mlf im moving house
Dalmation, did you really join in 2005?
where to?
my partners house
it'll be a a fantastic year for Kiwi!
boyfriend?lol
why are people spelling dalmatian with a tion? It somes from Dalmatia, a place.
I have to agree. I started babbling in 2005 and got away from it for a few years and have just come back. Then I got an e-mail this year and came back and remembered how much I enjoyed the game.
Wow jillibus, I am deinifitely going to check that out

where can I find the dictionary that these words are compared against? Cuz I saw some really weird ones in the archive, I'd like to see what is in this supposed English dictionary.
where can I find the dictionary that these words are compared against? Cuz I saw some really weird ones in the archive, I'd like to see what is in this supposed English dictionary.
erm, why 2 entries? weird...
The dictionary is called ENABLE - perhaps you can google it?
and Babble is sensitive to touch, hence the double entry
Hello Haz and all
Thanks, I tried but the only site that looks remotely like it could be the one looks a bit dodgy, hehe
Do remember, it's just a game, no point in raging against a dictionary because it doesn't care.
Good evening, lynxx, morning to this side of the world.
good morning everybody; we finally got a big snow AFTER all th snowbirds went home! LOL It's really beautiful
hello hz and lynxx
Hello, ruby. We got more snow this morning and I'm feeling less happy about it!
hi Ruby, lovely to hear someone happy about snow
It's easy for me, just won't go outside!
hi Haz/Lyn and all
Hello, diem.
hi Diem
we've had so much rain and with two dogs, mud mud mud
hello diem
og no, of course not. I'm a good sport, don't worry.
hi Ruby
and the birds are back, our true pensionaires
I'm glad, Vertigus, although we all understand the frustrations.
To be honest, I'm a computer programmer, and I suddenly got curious as to what algorithm can actually solve this game. I want to try to write one in C# as a mental exercise, but of course I need a dictionary for that to work.
Your best bet would be to write to Dr-God to find out exactly which version he uses. It's not the most up-to-date one.
You probably should speak to Lickety Vertigus - he has done it

good morning Haz and all babblers, just want to wish one and all a healthy New Year,
you, too, yvo!
Good morning, Yvo, Happy New Year to you as well!
hi Yvo, may 2010 be good to you and yours as well
thank you kindly. we drove 1500 miles to escpe the Cod windy Icy Chicago for COOOOLd Florida ,just hope it wil get a little warmer, miss my swim
I am not improving! 12 words so far and I'm barely limping forward
It's bound to heat up eventually, Yvo. How long are you staying?
1 month
been here a week and had to heat on
ruby, try using the square technique. Find four likely letters in a square and see how many words you can get from it. Also there are quite a few palindromes in this grid, so you get two words for the price of one.
I do hope it improves, Yvo, It's still warmer than Chicago I take it?
ty haz, I'll look for them
rubyfoo please have fun with it i encouraged you in the beginning ,it reall will come easier soon
Good letter squares - s a e r. s r e e.
I love it, don't mistake that, but it's much harder for me than lexuloous blitz
This is one of those grids where there are nice sequences and words within words. Just relax and let your eyes wander.
its in the 50 tys it beat windchill 40 below
my son goes to chicago from austin to work 4 days/week, 3 days/month
Goodness, no wonder you wanted to get out of Chicago! Hopefully it'll warm up soon. We got statistics yesterday to say that it was the coldest December here for 30 years, so you're not alone.
always sick!
amah
whoops
Why Ruby you gave me a word ,see your good at it .just enjoy
Im good at the 4's just need to stay out of the PB!
hello
Hello, herin.
Hi Haz. How you?
I'm well, thanks. Cold, but well.
hi Infernal, welcome home
Thanks Lynxx. I am enjoying a very lazy day
How were the cats?
insane they missed us
Pandora has been very cuddly and that is not her bent
Nice welcome home then
It was and today I have done nothing but all day
Think I'll break for a while, at stand still with 70+ left. BBL
later lynx
See you later, lynxxx.
Well, time I was getting on with things. It's a very friendly grid again today.
later Haz
Back later, perhaps. Bye for now!

Well, I got the color of course, but 'not head'?

Good morning everyone!
rubyfroo - i'm at 477
morning Sheimi
Hi Bojazz, how're you doing with the grid?
only two words - eating at same time - work beckons
lol
Oh, can you tell me how many words there are for todays grid, please?
287
Okay, thank-you for your help. :)
The grid is relatively easy and fast to do. I just got fireworks! I'm exhausted after a long day's work here so early though it is, I'm heading for bed. See you tomorrow perhaps.
hi bojazz, just came back. I had a very bad start and am only up to 366!
Bo & Ruby--you are pros! Woo hoo!
Yahoo Merk!
you are funny, scrabbler! everybody says this grid is easy -- not for me, only 149 words!
I am not going to start now--must shower and get going to work. We got 2 feet of snow over the last 2 days and the drive will take longer.
ugh... have a good day...
If they had 2 ft of snow here, they'd declare a national emergency. We had 2 in one day last week and the mail didn't get through!
I work at the Indian Reservation health center on Mondays--24 miles away.
drive safe scrabbs
Just south of the reservation is where 30 inches of snow was delivered.
you gonna snowshoe it scrabs?
TY, mom2. Jean, I have fallen in love with snowshoeing but 24 miles would take me all day.
OK, off I go. Enjoy the day everyone!
ok, go to Plan B
We have over a foot of snow and I need to go back to work today after my vacation. I don't wanna go! WAAAAAH!
can I write you an excuse note, gail?
I wish! I need another week.
gads! another heavy snow sqall warning for today.good morning from the snowy north my friends;/
hi crossy, greetings from the thawing out south of you
and hello to everyone
annie;))
I'm going to make coffee
a warm good morning on this cold winter day.. how is everyone?
mmm;( it is not taking derailer or the plural;((
frozen
morning zoe
lol me too crossy, its like 23 out here today
O degrees here in Kansas. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
-10c here with wind chill of minus 22 and crazy snow squalls
howdy rumple
Howdy, it's warmer in Sweden than it is here. It's crazy.
0 F? thats fresh also rumple
it's all part of global warming
warming? warming.its so bad out that i cant take the dog out for a walk.i have to hold him out the window and squeeze;/
call Al Gore - i'm sure he can explain everything
if he can snowshow to my door, ill put the kettle on
snowshoe
he'll probably just come through your computer
crossy sets the firewall to the highest level....
LOL
not a good sing, ive already found 4 real words this grid will not take;(
Crosshair - my wife last a battle with ovarian cancer 13 years ago, the experience brought my children & me much closer. I love your attitude!
ty bojazz, when your trying to collect the whole set you must have a good view on things
i am in the clear now and totally healthy:)..god bless the miracle workers at princess margerette hospitial
phantom---treason
crossy! you made me smile and made my day
i rejoice with you crosshair
real words this stoopid grid will not take..derail,derailers,hile,hiles:)
i am glad annie;)))
my computer takes the words
ooops - does not take hile
crossy - grid will take the de6 and it's plural.....
mm,let me try again..maybe its ause ive not had my tea yet
i'm sure that's it!
mmm,so it does...off to the pb and a tea for crossy
brrrrrrr COLD just back from the beach and I'm shivery shivering
*puts a cup of tea in the PB for crossy*
Hello Ata...so Hobbit had a nice walk then
it must have been about a million degress below zero out there. but definitely! she chased lots of seagulls :)
and that's a million degrees below absoulte zero
Too cold for me..but Hobbit had a grand time.
she did, which makes it all worth it
On New Years Day the members of the Polar Bear Club go swimming in the ocean and I go down to watch them. They never say they are cold even when they are shivering.
she's just turned the sofa into one big dog nest and settled down
Oh what a darling dog she is.
i have doe the polar bear dip annie
done
cut a hole in the ice with a chain saw about 10 feet wide and 20 feet long and we all jump in
Crossy, you too. So tell me, how does it feel when you hit the water or do you feel anything at all?
I swam in the Arctic off Greenland. I can assure you it's *cold*!
you feel wonderful when you get out though, the glow lasts for hours!
it is electrifying.you gasp as it feels like fire burning along every square inch of your body.your breath rushes out and your body almost seems to pause as if in shock before deciding to take another breath
you feel your hair withe as it flash freezes on top of your head...
it *does* pause in shock! trying to decide whether to expire or fight :P
Crossy, Sounds like the downhill rush on the Cyclone.(a ride in Coney Island)
and then your out and running for the bath robe..all in 30 seconbds
That was quite descriptive
when we were in greenland, we used to shower under a waterfall that came straight off a glacier. the afterglow kept you warm for hours if you dared to actually get under there in the first place!
I cant imagine.
1st de 6,21 plz
I dont have it, zoe
the one I have is what happens to a train when it comes off the tracks
knock off track
crossy's favourite word!
there is one before that one
i have that to thanks to crossy
then plural it
lol
it's like the actor Vin De** but with an extra vowel
didn't have that one... ty!
morning all
let it not snow, let it not snow, let it not snow
Hi sue
thanks lady!
yw
hi sue
what do the compounds start with if any?
I have the 9, but only one 8
re7 and 8
are they compounds
yes
sue, it's bird starting with a color
I have the tr7,8,9
*a
what does the bird start with?
sue, are the tr7 and 8 a compound
not the ones I have
they build off the tr5
t+I've been working on the **** road
okay, thanks
go it
ty
which tr's do you have
sue, not up to the T's yet but will keep it in mind
oh wow, forthe first time ever I got the si6 madre without being reminded about it :)
yaa for ata;))
congrats ata
good for you, Ata...that si6 is my friend's daughter's name
I *always* forget it. that and orient
what a lovely name!
I got the tr 7. 8 and 9.
who is the dr on here again?
interesting names they pick now,si 6/18,river pheonix,rainbow,butte,auroa,tc
My daughter once babysat for a family and one of their children was named Sequoia
butte? that's somewhat unfortunate
my jeep grand cherokee's tailgate hit me on the side of my head and now my eye burns and my ear hurts
of course frank zappa started it all with his daughters name;)
I have to go get my books for this semister (my 4th) yahooooooo
sue, maybe you should pay a call to a doctor
I think I will annie
indeed,sounds like a concussion
always the problem with concussion, it's hard to perfeom neuro tests on yourself
indeed
nbt... is it me or doesn't this puzzle seem too easy, hence the nbt!!
hi everyon
I worked on reception at a m inor injuries at the local hospital A man came in because the boot lid(tailgate!!) had hit him on the head. They checked him over and sent him off with a leaflet about head injuries. About an hour later I saw him coming back across the road with his wife. I thopught he had got a new symptom. No - the bootlid had come down again and hit his WIFE on the head!! Time to get a new car I'd say!!
morning, oodle

It is for real as my son in law would say!!

deeha,i dont know if you get the north american style of mini van there, but they have a huge tailgate that is supported with a pair of hydralic hinges.i had one of them fail on me,and when that gate comes down on your head, your laying on the ground wondering what happened to the last 10 minutes or so;(
I dont think she knows every detail, oodle!

Naughty Bits Tingling, deeha!
Crossy and Oodle, now there's a pair!
Like that one - its a long time.....no dont even go there!!!!

oh, believe me, I hear you loud and clear deeha!
I am staying in Ata so it is only cold!! Just a frosting of snow outside
I was in Margate earlier on and omg I nearly died of cold
lol deeha,we are 3 feet high and rising.snow banks are so high now,i can only see half the telephone poles
i don't like frosting, too sweet
make good wind blocks though, they help with the snow sqaull
HOMAR IS SO A WORD dammit
one of my students told me about when she went to visit Auschwitz, and it was bitter, bitter cold, and she was so distracted. she was chastising herself for complaining of the cold, and feeling like she should be understanding where she was, etc, but at the same time, she was really frigging COLD and it was painful, and she was hating it....
but going through a 4 way stop is a horror! you can see if anything is there
proper name oodles
Was in bed - on my o2n! - over Christmas so I am still a bit wobbly. You knoiw what Rod McKuen says - if you have a cold go to bed with a good book - or a friend thats read one!!
I love walking the dog 99 times out of 100. Today was just painful rather than fun
if you can re5 something, why can't you de5 it?
and if you can de5 something, why can't you re5 it? :P
Crossy, I ADORE you and Oodles.
i used to wonder bout things like that, but it was giving me more grey hairs
someone has to
I have a thing for wiseguys!
oops my bad I spelled it wrong
my dog made the decision today - stuck his head out, looked back at me and was all "um.....NO"
ty hego..did i ever tell you that you are my favorite?
HOMARD IS SO A WORD dammit...(lobster in french)
;-)
Hobbit unfortuiunately wanted to chase every darn gull on the beach. For hours.
humpfs at hego being crossy's favorite....
But I love you too Trif.
uh oh cross look what you started
your my favorite too trif;) here... crossy gives trif a peck in that spot just under the ear
well, to be fair.....torgone is *my* favorite, so who am I to humpf?
OOOOO, I want a peck too.
(trif giggles - crossy's beard tickles!)
he can't be your favourite, he's hurshy's favourite
i even trimmed it yeaterday, was starting to look like a mountain man
uh oh We did start something Cross.
ewww - promise us you swept up the little fuzzies, and didn't leave them for mrs crossy to deal with!
ohh a cat fight....meow!:)))))
off for some lunch now ( OK and possibly a little zzzz) bbl thanks for the chat byeweeee
tc deeha
happy nap, deeha!
my wife goes ballistic when i leave hairs in the sink;/
as well she should, crossy! NO ONE likes short and curlies left behind!
Good for Elegant
NO LUNCH OR SLEEPING PLAY BABBLE sheesh... git your priorities straight... gee ;-)
defcon 1,launch the missles, scorched earth..that sort of thing
You tell him, Oodle
him?
That does seem a tad harsh, Crossy.
i once played babble so long that i could not pronounce vowels oodles;))
uh there is a pink icon by deeha's name
she is a tough woman:/
and that's how it should be cross
oh, hey -- primo was nominated by his school to participate in an all-state art thing, very prestigious, blah blah, he is a finalist but won't know for a few months if he has been chosen....point is, the recommendation that the teacher wrote about him nigh on made me weepy - I am going to make a copy of it to read on days when Primo is making me nutters.
Ok, ok, I made a mistake oods.
i really do not know why i even start these monster grids;/
Me either
oh wow!
That's great Trif!
well I will have to just let it go... mistakes happen hego
So generous of you Oodle
I know, right? It's always so interesting to hear someone else describe your child - it always give me such good insights in to who they are
:-)
My reaction ws always, who?
i once made a mistake oodles....i thought i was wrong,but i was not;))
brrrrr. wish one could mainline tea on cold days like this
yes, hego, I understand that.
i
uh I hate to ask in what cross
It's nice to know others see them this way, though.
oops - my babble time is up for this morning, and duty calls. take care on this cold, cold day everyone, and, if you get a second, do say a prayer for those who are homeless, or are working with the homeless today. thanks!
like hell it does triff, everyone else describes my boy as an angel,a perfect child, helping others..i really know he is a deamon spawn ascended from the seventh circle of hell;/
LOL Hego... and that's great Trif! I agree that it is often enlightening to hear others describe one's child.
LOL Crossy... that is how I feel when my kid is described as helpful and "a joy"....
because it gets even worse when you realize that this behavior is just for you
When ever I went to parent/teacher conferences I always heard what a darling child he/she was. I never contradicted, but I certainly knew better.
I tell them to spend 15 minutes in my house, LOL.
My daughter tells me that she behaves as she does at home because she knows that she is unconditionally loved her (can anyone say "snowjob"?????)....
Kids would never talk to their friends the way they talked to us
lol mom,i did one better,i quietly fired up the web cam and taped about an hour or so,put it in a flash key and sent it to school with him lol
I guess it is better for her to be her mean, evil self here, rather than out in public...
OMG... I would NOT want my kid to talk to me the way she talks to her friends. She is downright mean to them. Don't quite know why they hang on.... she has that Alpha female thing going on with them, LOL.
Crossy... believe me I have thought of doing it, but in the end I just let her be... I am sure I was, on occasion, no walk in the park.
though i feel a tad sorry for the offspring this morning.it is blowing and howling out there.but it is only a 15 min walk
Mine has to walk home today... 5 blocks. She was carrying on as if I told her that she had to go out and dig ditches. And, luckily, she finally found her keys this morning or she would have been waiting outside for me for about 1/2 an hour.
but good thing about in the house..it is not a democracy,it is a dictatorship and i am fidel;))
so what happened when you sent it to the school cross
I think girls are much more difficult to deal with than boys. Some of the things that came out of her mouth....
Initially she was refusing to bring her hat, scarf, mittens until I reminded her that 5 degrees may feel like below 0 this afternoon.
the guidance councillor found it"enlightening"
OMG bichon... I agree.
I would never let the guidance counselor see my kid in action at home; it would reflect poorly on me somehow I am sure.
i just told my boy to poke his head out the door..he ran for the hat and mitts
I know that when my granddaughter were born their mothers [my daughter and d.i.l.] were so happy. I just stayed muym
lol, nothing like finding out on your own;0
I am one of four siblings, all girls... I don't know how my parents did it. We were terrible.
I think maybe he is going through a rebellious stage and sees you as a threat to his freedom and tests the boundaries to see how much he can get away with
does everyone have guidance counsellors over there?
To this day I tell my daughter who has a daughter of her own some of the things she said to me and can't believe she would be so mean to her beloved mother
OMG Crossy, anytime my kid has ever had an issue at school (almost never) they always find some way to ask how things at home are, LOL... And these people know me very, very well... I am like, OMG you people know me!
of that im sure oodles,i have already invited him to get a job and an apt while he still knows everything
and how old is he
no ata, they are a rare thing and hard to get to see
16
I thought I knew everything when I turned 21... NOT
Bichon, recently my own mother heard my daughter in action and told her that I never spoke to my mother that way.... as for my other siblings, well.... so, it was nice to hear that I never actually uttered some of the things I am sure I must have been thinking in my twisted teenage mind.
all of this sounds like normal development to me.
re 7/32 and re 8/45 please
Our middle and high schools have guidance counselors as a matter of course.
and what do they do? like life coaches for kids?
gran... think deer.. compound word... color + what a dog wags and its plural.
if i had ever talked to my father the way my son talks to me,my head would be on backwards or he would shoot me for rabies
mom to the PB!
ok I like your reverse psychology you use on hime
ATA.. I was on our local Board of Ed for several years... I, too, would like to know what they do... LOL! Though my daughter has a friend who speaks to the guidance counselor all the time and says that she has been very helpful to her (this kid has some real issues in addition to being an absolute drama queen).
Thanks and finished!
OMG... ATa... did not realize. Sorry.
:D
Congrats Gran.
whatever happened to being able to go to your teacher if you had any issues! :)
It is all part of the process of growing up. In a few years she will be fine.
I'm impressed gran!
Whatever happened to going to your parents if you had issues, LOL?
sort of ata, more like really patient people who keep them pointed in the right direction in life and school when the child just thinks that parents are idiots
lol even more true, mom!
What does the 9 start with?
cause the teacher is an authority figure
Rhere's an old yiddish blessing/curse, "may you have children of your own one day".
My kid definitely talks to me, Thank God... my husband is often surprised by her conversations with me.... but I like to remind him that when she asked him what gay was he replied, "happy"... LOL.
who is there in loco parentis
omg
OMG Christine I have heard that... too true.
I remember my mum trying to tell me what condoms were for when I was 18!
No Chris, I hope you have a kid just like you one day, even better. :-)
Today my daughter always calls me up for parenting advice for my 2 y.o. g'daughter. I always inwardly chuckle
mornin babblers!
Some kids use the guidance counselors, others use teachers or principals, etc... I guess it depends on the kid. Like I said, sometimes mine actually uses here actual parent!
though i find that the boys in this age group seem to have a facination with the derrogetory slang terms for same sex couples
Hi Eva
hi eva!
how are we this morning?
howdy eva
OMG Crossy... I was at school in the beginning of the year and heard several 13-year-old boys bandying about some really harsh terms... I rounded them all up and took them to the principal... I am so well liked now it is not even funny.... I explained to them, on the way to the office, that they would NEVER use certain words to describe women, blacks, asians, etc... so why was it acceptable to use derogatory terms for homosexuals???? Though I swear fat people are still fair game at all age levels.
we are freezing with a fine cracked glaze:/
Good Eva... just venting about our children. Nothing new, LOL.
eva if I say I am doing fine then you are fine and if I say I am doing badly then you are doing badly? We is a collective word meaning you and I. :D
unless you count fiances in the "children" category, i have none to complain about. :)
They can count
we are only as strong as our weakest link, are we not, oodle? ;)
Well, maybe someday Eva... the reason people encourage others to reproduce is because misery loves company, LOL.
my husband actually asked me how to cook a jacket potato in a microwave yesterday
well, the kid is not smoking, drinking or on drugs and has yet to bring a pregnant girlfriend home,so i should be thankfull
I count my husband in the children category some days.
Very true Crossy, but there is still time, LOL.
shh mom
Ata... be thankful he had the wherewithal to give it a try.
he didn't. he was sitting looking at the potato wonderingly
I actually came home from work last week when they were home and they had waited for me to feed them lunch... I was like, "you people must be kidding me"!
I really don't know if we would consider a weak link in our midst now would we eva. We are not amused. (*giggles*)
Oh, ok Ata... that makes far more sense.
this is a man who has lived on his own for over 10 years. it's not as if he can't cook
It was way easier to ask you, Ata.
lol ata,i do all the cooking here, send your hubby over and ill show him chicken a la king and rigatoni a la vodka
hints for the 9?
It was his way of passively asking you to make it for him, as I am sure you well know.
And bacon ala anything!
potatoes? microwave? what are you talking about?? lol
Don't have it Eva... too busy with the chog.
lol hego
OMG Hego I was just going to say that.
if he couldn't cook, I would help him. it's the fact he was obviously much more happy distrubing me from trying to finish an assignment than spend 2 microseconds considering the matter!
tr9 pt of tr7/28 (goofy word)
:-)
yep, exactly mom!
My husband will not eat a microwaved potato.
I call it "learned helplessness" Ata....
no bojazz,a microwave can come in handy with a good baked tater, you start them in the microwave for 6 minutes, turning them halfway,THEN you finish them off in the oven till they are nice and crispy..it cuts down the cooking time greatly
I call it bloody annoying :P
how does he know if it is a micro wave potato if you mash them up???
And why can't they ever find anything?
exactkly, crossy. just speeds things up
SPEAKING OF WHICH
don't shout, oodle
That goes without saying ATa... Crossy, that is brilliant... will try it and see if he can suss out that it was originally nuked.
you save a good half hour mom;))
you really can't, mom. nuke it for 6-7 mins, oven for 20
TY une -- thats NBT and NBS for me!
works great with sweet pots too.
Hego.. many years ago I heard Marlo Thomas describing a fight she has with her husband, former talk show host Phil Donahue, regarding lost items... she tells him that she was born with ovaries and they do not come equipped with "lost things detectors"... I was peeing in my pants and use that line all the time.
indeed hego
well ask me nicely please ata
OK... I am going to do it next time... thanks so much. Can't believe I never thought of that my own self.
Very funny mom
shouldn't need to ask in the first place ;)
meeting time. back soon!
Of course, who found my daughter's lost keys this morning???
Bye eva
lol mom,it took me 20 years to realize that if you beat the campbell mushroom soup before you add the mild, you wont get a chunky mess lol
milk
Gotta get the lumps out
Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken soups are the secret to all of my best cooking. I have recently branched out to Cream of Potato... LOL.
indeed,crosy hates lumpy shrrom soup
I just use a whisk to get out the lumps... but will try the bang it on the counter method.
----still looking for goofy tr 7...
ok, I'm going to go and make a ham sandwich then have a nap
want a really good secret? when making a meatloaf, throw the crackers away and use a pouch of the stove top stuffing..it is amazing!
tr7 ain't goofy - the tr9 from it is!
I have found 60 words in 3 hours and have much to do around this joint... so happy they are finally back at school/work... missed my routine.
Bye Ata.
that's exactly what I meant, ata :-)
bye Ata
I use breadcrumbs in my meatloaf... and I HATE stove top stuffing... but, I am sure it is a great tip for the cracker user Crossy.
I know, just reaffirming it ;)
:-D
That sounds great Crossy!
*poofs*
you hate stove top stuffing?? GASP!
i use the cornbread one all the time
blasphemy, mom :) *really poofs*
She must not like sage
I know.. I am weird. I don't know, there is some spice that I always taste that I really dislike... might be cilantro, which I feel ONLY belongs in Mexican food and, yet, it turns up in things all the time.
Ata is fake poofing again
the cornbread one has very little sage
I like sage... so, I don't think that is what it is. OK.. you will really hate me now... but I detest cornbread stuffing. And, yet, I LOVE cornbread... go figure.
I wouldn't call that weird,mom
acccck!
It's like I have this thing about fruit in its natural state.. I will eat any fruit as nature intended... just don't cook it or ask me to drink the juice out of it.
who knew?
i find most fruit juices(orange, apple) to acidic now and hunt for the low acid formulations
Yes.. it is a strange affliction, I admit... people look at me all the time like, "You don't eat pie???"... I tell them I would eat pie if the fruit in it was raw...
Gosh, darn Crossy, you are a good cook.
with acid reflux i do not need to be adding to it
The only fruit juice I can stomach at all is apricot nectar, which, of course is terrible for you... you may as well just go ahead and have a coke.
crossy, I cut my OJ with about 1/4 water (or more)
maybe it has some thing to do with the vodka, Crossy?
i an doing grilled honey garlic saussages with mashed taters and corn tonight hego..common over
The acid reflux, I mean.
hego LOL!!
If my husband would just make his own toast I would do a jig.
please do not diss the bacon vodka;))
I would come for a grilled cheese if someone else was making it, LOL.
Me too Une
When I drank I had a strict rule... no juice with my booze, ever!!!!
I wonder what I'm making for dinner tonite.
Straight up or nothing.
gee ... that's what I do NOT understand why men find it difficult or won't do the simplest of cooking like making toast...
of course mom,it would just bruise the alcohol
I made a turkey breast on Saturday night... so we will be eating that again.
been coooking since I was 8
Hmmm turkey breast.
since i was 9 here oodles
Stopped drinking a while ago... but I do remember that nice, crisp, cold martini....
mmm martians....
I think I came out of the womb with a potholder on, LOL.
Me too
I have replaced the drinking with cooking and babbling, LOL.
You can do all 3, mom
kewel cross... I have been baking cheese cake for 35 years since I was 15
No, I can't Crossy.
Some people can, but I am not one of them.
I got ov gloves for Christmas from 2 different people!
oops, meant hego... sorry.
LOL Hego.. I want them!
Hello......of why do I have to work for a living?
They
re great!
Yes. I know. I use them at work.
should say "oh" too early to type
I ask myself that same question almost daily science.
ahh. i love quick meetings. :)
Poor sg
That was quick, Eva.
that was quick... now you can get back to the important stuff,
Just got a text about doing lunch with friends... so I should really go and accomplish something here before I need to get ready...
finally got the nine, did not find it goofy
And yet, here I sit... not really looking forward to going out in this weather... brrrrr!
Obviously some people do not cart their boats around.
You'll have fun, mom
It builds off of the 7/28???
yes, got it
Usually I look forward to Monday lunch... we do it every week, but my one friend has been a little contentious and bossy of late... she is beginning to annoy me just a tad, LOL...
7,28 right
maybe somethings going on in her life.
got it...
Absolutely hego, which I why I have bit my tongue, lip, etc... she has very little control of her husband/children... so she feels lately like she needs to control me...
ah, control issues
She is a lovely woman, but there will come a time when I will have to tell her if the behavior continues... would never do it at "Monday lunch", as others will be present.
I am not a pushover, just trying to be patient (which does not come naturally... LOL) because I truly love her.
yes, the back off speech needs to be made
Last week she began instructing me about something that I already thought I had "shut down"... and I just gave her a look and she stopped. It's funny, I sometimes think that she just cannot help herself, LOL... and, of course, if you knew her mother!!!
it's weird how we all become our mother
My secret weapon is to call her "Betty" (her mother's name), which I have NEVER done...
I am decidedly NOT my mother... my sister is, though.
Make it seem like an accidental slip. lol
I am, however, my father... don't know if that is better or worse, LOL.
Yeah... Freudian...
So am I
My father was my primary caretaker (he worked nights and my mother worked days) when I was young... don't know if that has anything to do with it... I really think that we are just wired one way or another from birth.
where do you live in NJ mom?
I used to think my father was terrible, as he was very anti-social... wonderful to me and my sister's, just had no patience for others, LOL. Now I find I am the same.
I live in Bergen County, just outside of Hackensack.
Wow, I grew up in Lyndhurst!
Monday lunches are my social thing for the week... these are the few women I actually enjoy.
Really hego... I grew up in Montclair and Kearny... where are you now?
down the shore
My parents are outside of Toms River.
I live near Long Branch
I did not realize you were from NJ.. I live in Maywood... just figured someone from elsewhere would never have heard of it, that's why I said Hackensack.
Oh, ok... it is nice down there.
I like it here though... could do without this weather though...
Very nice. I've been in this area for almost 50 years now.
My husband would love to go South... I spent some time this summer in Savannah and in Charleston, SC... LOVED it...
I like it too.Love the seasons.
Pretty warm and humid, though.
Yes. I love the Fall... but today I think I would trade it all in... it is just bitter.
It doesn't last that long. And then you get spring!
OMG... it was SOOOO hot there in August. But it is really beautiful... every place has trade offs (though my husband says San Diego is the perfect place... just too far for me).
I'm in SC and today is 15 very unusual
Yes. I saw that this snap is affecting the whole eastern seaboard.
Hi Carol
True Hego.
Hello all. Been away during the holidays, too much to do. Now trying to retrain my brain.
I thought Charleston and Savannah were just charming. Nice, livable cities... love Manhattan, but just not what I would consider livable.
Hello Carol.
No, but lovable.
WEll, as I always say... "this is not a Disney movie"... the birds are not going to come through the window and take my laundry down by the river... then hang it up, fold it, and put it away.
No better city in the world, Hego.
ah, too bad
though, that WOULD be awesome, mom. :)
So, I must go and attend to all of those things.
yes me too mom. bye for now all.
bbye hego
I know Eva.... and then if they could find the money tree and pick the dollars off of it and bring it through the window when they take away the laundry, mop, do the dishes... I could stay here all day, every day, LOL.
OK... I am gone... maybe I will bbl... *poof*
ok anyoone else left?
I'm still here
I've just arrived!!!!!
hi carol hi movie
Hiya oodle

Hi fellow babblers.... ((((oodle))))
quiet in here today
I thought I killed the chog
guess everyone is either gone or heads down
can anyone give me a clue for the last re 6/18?
good morning
re 6/18 re + what a farmer stores grain in but change the last vowel
thank you so much, I could not get that word for anything!
yw dalmatian
reify
sorry - you can tell I am really getting tired! 2 more words to go and they are driving me crazy
well I thank you, I didn't have that word yet lol
can i get help with the fourth column e?
made a mistake, harp
and the lone a?
not too good at telling which letter words come from but do you have what you listen with?
also ea5, had hearing organs
el 4/4 you better get this clue or el**
lone A= having more burned stuff
the sh's are driving me crazy grrr
part of the prob is, as Jilli pointed out, the spelling on at least a couple of the sh's is STOOPID
for example, sh5/16 should be spelled with 2 sometimes vowels
and sh7/36 should be spelled with a ch, not sh
and, yes, I'm a grumpy ex-editor
ok, i'm taking a break -- later! :-)
gm
me too, guys.... cya..... *poof*

This puzzle isn't considered easy, so don't worry if you don't find many words at first. Play for fun and you will get better soon (at Babble at least).

lol Gwen
bad science!
Scripps network and Cablevision had a falling out on the contract
oh i thought maybe it was a more general problem
therefore Scripps pulled the two channels
no but I miss my house hunters and design on a dime
they were a great deal of why i finally got cable
I don,t see where I even used and er word
oh darn, that is irritating. They should increase the number of nice stations while you are confined to your bed.
well never mind oodle, just bask in the glow!
i really don't like TLC and I am saving my movies for later in the week, when I want to take a break from grading papers or something
well you can burn up a lot of hours on the chog SJ
er - make a mistake
I know, my first pregnancy I had no problems. This second one has played havoc with my asthma and landed me in the hospital between 12/26 and 112/31

hiya ruru
BRB
another wonderful pic of your puppy, ruru, He is so sweet!
I have to move to the apt below me and I got frustrated with a box and tried to throw it and it gave me a bug cit on my ring finger... nothing worse than a cardboard cut they are brutal
SJ - been doing this for over 10 years and would really like a change...
I got to visit him yesterday.. I am in love
ouch
ah that is good! Love is good. In love with puppy is even better. He will love you right back, ruru.
my aunt taught for 53 years science
my mother the piker only taught for 46
wow, that is something. 53 years is dedication!
lol @ only
I know JMC real troopers, but it was different when they were in the classroom. things have changed
she started straight out of HS during WWI
my aunt was always complaining about how they would change teaching methods annually
one of the worst things here for teachers is that they must almost spend more time in meetings etc than they spend before the class. Is that the same where you are?
but she never changed hers and was wildly popular
Rururocks - your puppy is boootiful ... may I be his Grandma ??
there is a word that means glare but there is one that is pelt differently but pronounced the same... do they mean the same things or different or am I pronouncing it wrong?
Good afternoon all, and a very happy New Year to all! :)
yes christine.. right after welki
hi soodle
hi Soodle!
¸sorry I always forget aobut clicking the ?
hi christine
Oodleberry, do you mean glair? That's the white part of an egg.

hey seain! *hug*
Hi DC
nm
jmc - prioritize, and introduce them to Babble, so they'll understand

ooph! Overtaxing and paying the price, maybe?
yep, like usual :(
I was meant to be meeting LIndrickway this evening, but now I have to finish my assignment that I should have finished in the last 4 hours!
don't i know it. A very tough thing to learn, to stay just within your limits. Not sure I ever will ;)
aw that is a shame
erase
that is my word for the day
hehehe SJ... good word, but use the other box. This site isn't friendly that way, you have to consciously change boxes after chatting.
anyone have the ra 6/21 ?
ra6/21 - ra plus a singular brother of Aaron and Miriam
Good morning/afternoon all!
?
hi haz...
hi haz! hi la glitteratella!
ra plus the singular leader of the Jews from Pharaoh in Egypt.

You're welcome, ruru.
ar 6/18 #1
is that like Oswald?
It' wasn't me, your Honour! Hello, sprite.
ah good, now I feel better.
ar6/16 can either be the coloured bit around the nipple or to be behind in rent (two different words)
Yes, like Oswald, but will they have heard of Oswald?
Who/what kicked you Sprite?
ar6: form of to be + spanish cheer
Haz is only responsible for Oodle
Soodle: probably a server hickup, somewhere here in the netherlands.
I'm pleading the Fifth on that one!

No k in the grid!
as long as you don't get someone pregnant in 10 minutes, crossy...
I am grateful, Haz
thank you haz...new one for me
:)
indeed,perish the thought
You're welcome, ruru.
Oh crikey, look what I started. The Chinese whispers will be in overdrive, and every babbling woman under 50 will now be expecting triplets! lol
no, no, no
Any day without a k, means for sprite, a red letter day!
(hands out contraceptives to everyone)
timeout for me, need my lunch
*does happy red letter dance*
enjoy, SJ
thx ruru
Ata's the best at Chinese Whispers. I don't have the imagination.
triplets no less! Soodle, I hope you don't have the evil eye!
Congratulations SJ on your news!
what? you mean Crossy got - and Haz is getting sick every morning? And Mr Haz doesn't - *gasp*
*runs in dire fear after eavesdropping on the chog*
ruru, where do I wear these? Oh I see, with a bit of work it fits my hand. Rotten typing though.
hi EvaN
:)
Hi guys!
hi Lindrickway
Takes Sprite to one side, and whispers 'it takes more than an eye, Sprity. Let me tell you bout the birds and the bees...'
See! Here's EvaN, who being young and fertile is MUCH more likely to be in the family way.
Hello, Lindrickway.
hi Lind
lol ata, dont worry bout me..even though those lil blue pills are great..mmm..up to 24 hours of male enhancement...er...what do i do with the other 23 hours and 55 minutes??;/
and the flowers and the tr5.... If I didn't have you, Soodle!
Soodle is having triplets, oh boy!
I heard it was quadruplets.
crossy, be careful though. If you don't swallow well, you will have a stiff neck for a whole day.
cross - you bad lol
And that she's going to be featured in a new reality show.
lol
hello 236 to go
I heard Soodle was having a litter of kittens?
Hello, harpjane.
Sex Factor
175 left for me
hello harpjane, you are almost done then
ENOUGH!!!! Mocking is catching!!
lol Ata
Strictly Quadruplets.
eve is having quads?? yaa for eva..hello yummy mummy..lol let the chin ese whispers roll....

Ata, I see you are getting a lot of work done! lol
ah, speaking of chinese whispers, I hear my love calling us down for dinner. back later. Behave, my children.
As if we ever misbehave.
Be careful out there, Spritey!!
*cringe* yes. I go. I should have gone. I'm bad.
I am sitting in the Sun having a beer! (0:
it's the ankle, right?
lol,if i sat out side and had a berr, you would not find me till spring thaw;(
Sun Inn crossie! lol
what is this sun you speak of?
I was going to say - is Lindrick sitting ON The Sun?
it is a pub!
lol,cool name
what is even cooler ..... I am staying here overnight!
have to love the u.k pub names..hound and teaspoon, the log and oar, wet dog,and old custard;))
So you will see the sun rise in the Sun Inn?
if I get up in time Haz! lol
When did you get back to the UK?
8th dec
you got a Hoar's Breath?
And has it been colder than you expected?
not really!
No complaints of halitosis from my nearest and dearest, bojazz. What about you, Ata?
no, no - apub
I suppose even unusually cold British weather is still nothing compared to Canada.
it is minus 23 in toronto!
Zoe-Anne is peeing outside the box again :(
Bad Zoe-Anne!
hi peri
ok - back to work
she does have kidney problems, Haz, so it really is not her fault. I bought sardines so I can put her pills in the. She loves sardines.
Bye, bojazz.
hi Lindy
hello all
hi peri
I was going to ask what cured her before, but you're obviously on the way to getting it sorted. I hope the meds kick in quickly.
if I disapear without saying bye it will be cos my internet has run out! lol
the meds worked for 6 months. hopefully they will work again
fingers crossed peri
ty Lindy
Could anybody help me with the re7 & re8, please?
lind, you rent your internet by the day??
re7 and re8 are types of bird. A colour and what a dog wags.
I am staying in a pub crossie!
Thanks Haz - was blind for looking!
ohh thats right,i am not well travelled and not familliar with the intricacies of using the internet whilst on the go
No problem.
most hotels offer the internet for free but not this one unfortunately
I found ths great stuff that gets rid of pet stains and odors especially for cats and it works!!Natures' Miracle.
hi all. clue for the 9? and have only one 8: the tr 8. would love clues for more.
:(
Did you have it recommended to you, peri, or did you find it yourself?
lol pari,i just buy a carpet the exact same sade and hue as cat vomit and hair ball;((
shade
I just found it myself in the Pet Smart store, had no idea if it worked.
well the litter box is in the basement, no carpet there
tr9 is related to tr8, kind of past tense of tr7.
they dont need to be near a litter box to launch a nice wet hair ball
Good evening all..........
Hello, caitlyn, Happy New Year!
howdy cait
hi caitlyn
peeing is the problem, crossy, hairballs I can deal with
Mkg - the 9 is an extension of the tr5/10. There are 5 tr words - all related to each other
and ive yet to train them to vomit in thier box..would be nbice
ahh tiddling
tiddling :) funny word
mine will poop on the kitchen mat if im not up to date on keeping the box tidy
Happy New Year to all those I havent *seen * yet this year
happy new year cait;))
It's been a cold New Year so far, caitlyn, hasn't it?
Same to you, Cait!
Its pigging freezing..........I have some nice thick chicken broth on the go, so that should warm us up !
pigging freezing :)
lol our pigs froze long ago
made lots of bacon:))))
Good evening all. Seem to have come in on some nice subjects.
I am trying not to swear LOL
Hi Sally
ty got the 9.
yup sally cat pee and vomit and frozen pigs
Hi Sally
Hello, Sally. You missed the news that Soodle is having quadruplets and is going to be on TV.
lol crossy. Guess what, we've run out of bacon!
LOL crossy
i thought it was eva having the quads...
Was this a virgin birth Haz?
Congrats Soodle LOL
No, Soodle. EvaN was afraid of her figure being spoilt - you know she does all these photoshoots.
ahh
*checks Soodle's profile in facebook.
Soodle will probably protest that it's all a lie, but that's onlybecause she's under contract to some of the magazines.
Will they be named with some of the weird words that enable makes us use? Etui etc
need a word for a on left column plz.
do any of your remember a female babbler who was living on this georgeous little british isle and had a knick knack/book shoppe? i cannot recall her name
She's supposed to wait and announce it in the next editions.
It's LizSark, cross, I think.
So it will be a scoop then.
thats it..sark island
ty haz
No, just Sark crossy.
Or maybe the Island of Sark.
as6 - a comparatively dirty Cinderella tree?
Fabulous place. I've spent a couple of holidays there.
was such a pretty place,i threated to move in next door..i still have a valid U.K passport lol
caitlyn, your idea for names is a good one. Babble babies shouldn't be fobbed off with any old name.
So if I had another son, I coiuld call him teiid?
name one after the hawaiian goose and the other after the needle case
Oh yes Sally
this is my son etui lol
Yes! Teiid, Etui, Nene and Haha. What's not to love about names like that?
No, no, surely that would be a girl's name crossy.
now haha would be a fantastic name
goodness me. several of our company credit cards were compromised over the holidays. including mine. and we don't yet know how it happened. my business office is suggesting that one of our vendors could have done it. i am shocked and appalled.
k,etui and nene are the girls, haha and teiid are the boys
I think I like all those names Haz
I like the idea of repeating syllables. Nene, Eses, Haha, Nana.
hurshy, are your cards the new ones with the rfid chip???
Did they buy interesting things on the credit cards?
Oh hurshy thats worrying
i don't think so, crossy... just regular cards...
my brothers cards were compromises in las vegas by thier rfid chips
So does that mean you had a good Christmas, hurshy? :-)
i don't know, haz, the only charge that was attempted on my card was at GameStop, but it was only $1 (it was on friday, so probably one of those things where the merchant holds a dollar and then the charge is processed a few days later.
when i activate my new card,im going to take a hole punch and remove the cip
i had a fine christmas - just glad it's company cards and not my own!
chip
ahh i am glad they are not your personal cards
I know, but any kind of security breach is worrying.
When I had an attempt on my card once it was for some tiny amount, and the card firm said that they try that first to see if it goes through, then go for the big time.
my brother lost $8,000.00
Yikes!
yes, worrying is the word. yes, sally, i think that someone mentioned that possibility to me.
crossy thats terrible was he able to claim it back?
took 6 months, but the company acgnoleged the rfid chip breach and refunded him his money
damn typos
Ours was a small attempt $1.13 twice and then the large $622.44. Our Visa was "protected" so they reversed the charges and investigating...
There is so much fraud going on its worrying
hmmm, happened to me twice but Visa called me to verfiy that I was actually purchasing sporting equipment which of course I was NOT -- so it was denied and I got a new card
Mine was my bank card which could have really caused some damage if we hadn't noticed it right away. Thank goodness the bank refunded the one overdraft charge associated with the mess.
i can't believe people are so willing to just mess up other people's lives.
apparently a red flag goes up if it's a purchase totally out of your normal type
yes - well, and when you usually buy businessy stuff, gamestop is a red flag...
Mine was an iTunes purchase, but via the American iTunes and not the British one, which was a dead give-away apparently.
yup,my brother says that they used a protable card scanner, and it was able to scan the info off of the rfid chip while it was still in his wallet!!
e.g., when I ordered something online from England, they called to verify before they let the charges go through
The charge on mine was to verizon wireless...I think they must have purchased the latest and greatest in phones!
still in his wallet?! wow!
Wow that is worrying crossy.
*orders lead wallet.
sally LOL!
back. Stew of carrots, ginger, cabbage, mushrooms, onion, shallot, and garlic in a red wine brown sauce bubbling away
lol sally
yeah, i've heard about that technology.
sounds yummy. seain!
they offer card sleeves for this very reason now sally
emmmm sounds wonderful dc
Will look into that crossy.
and special wallets..i think ill just remove the chip
dc, do you have any over?
I only use a debit card ........do they use that also for fraud?
sadly, i'm hungry now, and it won't be ready for about an hour. but that's what one gets for not planning ahead :) OOOh, i'll make some biscuits to go with.
only the ones with the chip
faraday cage wallets and passport holders are easily available.
yes, caitlyn...mine was a debit card
what is the chip for in the first place?
and you can always weave some thin copper wire into a mesh to line your wallet.
if they cant secure the chip, the cc company should buy me the wallet
sally, i may, don't know yet
cross? i forget where you work... it seems to me you work for a hotel, is that right?
yeah, dc, weaving thin copper wire into a mesh to line my wallet has always been my definition of a good time...
hi eveyrone
lol hurshy
i work for a ski resort/comdo corp
hello oodle
condo
When I go to a cash point I always cover the key pad so my number cant be tracked if they clone the card..........I dont know too much about this
didn't say it was fun hurshy, merely that it was a viable option :)
Hi oodle
you must have more dexterous fingers than i do
caitlyn do you ever use yours to purchase anything online?
hey caitlyn how ye be lassie
Also when paying in a store caitlyn. I'm surprised at how many people don't bother.
i get the pre loaded/one time use visa cards for purchaces online.it is safer than using my normal card
I be fine oodle, how be you ? Happy New Year to you and you family
it is so much worse here in the US than in europe, though. at least in restaurants they swipe your card at the table with a portable reader instead of taking it away from you to do who knows what
i don't debit with my debit card - i run it as credit
where do they do that, hurshy? I've not seen that
A
welll I am going to apply for a job just to get my foot in then work my self to where I want to be.
Are there extra charges to do it that way, dc?
they don't in the US, that's what i'm saying.
Yes Nonnie but only Amazon and First Choice holidays, havent had any problems yet (fingers crossed)
ah! gotcha
lol, sorry to get everyone going over this;( but those rfid chips are a menace unless you take precautions;(
hi everyone, clue for the re7.32 plz?
crossy what do they put the chip in for?
re7/32 - a bird, combining a colour and what a dog wags.
Hi lbd
bring up, as a child, again, dawg
bring up, as a child, again, dawg oops, that's a 28. i can read, really
what are rfid chips
you know ive never really read up on it hurshy, but im sure your bank can fill you in better than i can.i just think at this time the danger outweighs the convienience
thank you, Haz!
wireless devices that encode data, oodle. Found in passports, toll transponders, store security devices, among others
i think you can load cash onto the chip and use it as a virtual wallet among other things
oh ok
thanks, haz
You're welcome, lb and dc.
Haz did you have a nice Christmas?
also contains all your banking information
IFF the debit card has a chip, crossy. None around this area do.
firebirds! thank you for the clues!
I did, thanks, caitlyn. Lots of family around, food to eat and a warm house.
Well done, lb.
congrats, dawg
how do you know if your card HAS a chip?
well i hope it stays that way for you dc
Congrats lbd!
and I have 335 more words to go
335?
We had a bit of a scare when my younger daughter couldn't get her scheduled flight home from Edinburgh, but she got home the next day. She went back this afternoon.
they're visible in the credit cards, hurshy, at the upper left
oodle has his own number system! lol
yes evertime I enter a bogus word it add ones to the list caitlyn
hee hee hee lbd
some are visible right on top of the card hurshy others are imbedded between the card layers of plastic.once again check with your bank
cab anyone help me with de/7 please
I bet you will miss her Haz, still it wont be long until Easter
LOL oodle
falling of the track?
let's see, upper left, debit card says "total security protection" and has a pic of a lock
not rying to panic, forwarned is forarmed
I'm hoping to get her over for her birthday in February. I suppose I'm used to her being away, but it's nice to have her back.
the google doodle is animated today :)
that doesn't seem like a chip.
Fingers crossed for you Haz
I know! Apple falling, I keep looking up things in google just to see it drop.
is that the first animated one dc? When I saw that, I was thinking that was the first.
Thanks, caitlyn.
BofA, hurshy?
yep
http://tinyurl.com/6h9ugy explains that phrase, hurshy. you'd need to call to ask as to whether there's a chip, though.
hello again
Hello, sprite.
Hi sprite
hello sprite!
hi all :)
hello sprite
hi, sprite
Afternoon, all! I'm down to 7 but they're all words that don't exist!
came upon a brick wall at 97 left. Will there be a second wind or is the last 3rd tough?
hi Jayk
Hello, Jayk.
Hi Jayk lol
there is a second BREEZE--far from a wind!
hiya jayk
You should get your second wind, sprite.
haha ok, right now I'd be happy with a breeze
we match today, sprite :)
thanks Haz, will dummy on then
you have to generate that breeze, yourself, too, sprite--it doesn't just suddenly blow around the corner!
we do, seain!
any clue to the re7/32?
it's a hawk
bird, ouwatchita, compound word starting with a color
actually, could be a deer, too
compound, Ouwachita
Have to get and get supper. Back soon.
Bye Sally
bye Sally, enjoy
njoy, sally
Bye, Sally.
it's the ras that are killing me! the middle-ish ones: ra 6/21, ra 8/55, and ra 5/12
got it...thanks
ra6/21 - ra plus singular leader of Jews from Egypt. Adverb is for ra8/55
ra5/12 - put what looks like a past tense ending on the unusual ra4/4
thanks for ra6/8 Haz
Hi all

Or ra6/21 - ra plus American Grandma who painted (singular)
THNAKS Haz!!!
You're welcome, sprite.

Hego, yes but not by my own hand yet!
It will come, I'm afraid.
Hello, hego.
Hi Haz

Haz - can you re-clue the ra8/55?
dr6/24 - make a past tense of the dr5/14
hi, MPitt
Jayk you must look after those monkeys, you never know when you might need them
ra8/55 - if you have the ra6, make it an adverb, i.e in the manner of.
Hi sprite, dc...Happy New Year to you all!
to you too MPitt
ty, and to you, MPitt
sorry my computer is wanting to freeze on me
Hi MPitt
*giving monkey CPR*

ra6/21 - male sheep for three, as plain as the n*** on your face for the last three.
oodle, have you een here all day?
Haz--but the dr 5/14s aren't verbs
Great! Glad it worked, bojazz.
one is, Jayk. The one you do at night
my name probably has been but not working on the puzzle or chatting the whole day no
Doesn't matter Jay, it's Babble.
The one I'm talking about is - to sleep, perchance to dr5/14.
thanks, Haz, i was missing that one :)
AH! The British way!! Haz, don't leave. You're my main plan for finishing
The British way = the proper way!
You're welcome, dc.
Absolutely, Haz! I'm certainly not here to argue with that!
Certainly not - not when you're looking for clues! What el4/4 do you need?
when I want you... to hold me tight... whenever I want you all I have to do is dr5
You can't argue with Haz. Oh no!
Some try, hego. Fools.
LOL Haz,are you trying to start an International Babble war?
Sing it Spritey!
Complete fools, Haz
Not at all, caitlyn. Did you not hear that I've got my certificate in Diplomacy from the Henry Kissinger School of Correspondence?
sprite I love that song, Everly Brothers
:)
Yes but you bought it on line Haz
I still had to answer the questions. Multiple choice is taxing.
The certificate stated clearly that Haz knows how to dot her Is and cross her Ts.
Absolutely.
Thats the same site I had my degree from :)
Medical
It's good, isn't it? What letters did you get for after your name?
Nice to be here with you lettered types.
letters are good. Especially when sorted in a grid.
D.O.B Doctor of Babble
We're very inclusive, hego, no airs or graces at all.
Very democratic.

LOL sprite
I'm M O D. Master of Diplomacy.

You must be really clever Jayk congrats
dc--is that british? who KNEW? but it worked!
I'm a little new, hadn't seen it before, Nan.

happy new year sprite how are things going for you?

:-D kids and snow, not much is more fun!
too funny stid
seaspray--the adverbial form of being sneaky
ahh, got it ty both
excellent! anything else?
Virginia RE4, one who dances it, and ones who dance it.
unfortunately, it's about what that paper is good for, it's highly partisan (unlike the paper that failed last year) and doesn't even make a show of trying to be balanced.
am going to put on the veg soup my mother made for me, maybe it will warm my feet
RA 6/8 combo after the person who lifts up?
hi, babblers - scrolling back, seain is that a new word game? I looked at it - do you just start entering words? are there any rules?
ra6 ra & musician **** Alison
white --- to start. line connects to a word, or words, related
number of dashes indicates word length
hey JBV!
I don't know the musician, lynxxx. will google. brb
hi, jbv
mind if i ask the name of that game?
Jazz type Stid
Word Link 300 is the name, seaspray
ty dc
stid--ra+ smo +elsy
got it! thanks lynxxx
terrific
LOL Jay!
i've been trying a whole bunch of words that i'm sure go with white, but they're not working - there's something intriguing about having to guess how to do it while you're doing it!
dc, I'm back and tried the game again -- it's saved, but nothing seems to work. Must all the words relate to white, or can they relate to the words which came from white?
yes, it's great fun
hello jill
relate to the words to which the box is connected by lines
I see JBV is having the same sort of problems
off to play DC's game - up to 7 words so far. Bye all
hi stid!
njoy lyn
later lynxxx!
About to permanentlypoof (well, until tomorrow). So two minutes more for clues
well, I'm sure the words I've entered are valid but nothing happens
try the RA 8/55 please Jay? I didn't understand the one you type
did I already ask the question about the thingamabobs and doohickies?
Yes yuo did
yes, many valid words, but only some in the puzzle
oh pooh!
well as of yet I haven't received an answer
it's a mysterious guessing game that grows as you guess correctly.
stid -- ra8 -- ra + Grandma ****s, the painter
got it, Jay! thanks!
good clue, jilli
JILL! such language. I am appalled
yw, stid
and then adverbial ending for the 8
oh sure, oodle
;-)
thanks jill
brb

hello welki
hi, welki
first SH 6 please?
well another break
add to the sh4
hasta, oodle
later oodles!
was afraid you'd say that seain! LOL
my internet connection is fading in and out again.
ends like anti-isreal terrorist organization
not PLO, the other one
dc, what's with the mini-map? I suddenly have another one and neither is legible or enlargeable
it shows the completed puzzle in miniature. click in a quadrant to work in that bit. That means you opened either Black or Red
ARGH. babble is acting up, too!
stidkid #2 will be home soon...
is the SH 7 similar to the one just clued?
thanks, dc. It would be nice if there were some explanation of the game accessible without bothering you!
indeed, jilli. took me a bit to figure it out. and it would be nice if the hints link worked
soft cloth, stid, same root
Ah, I see -- the second mini-map opened because I had found a word which led to it
thanks seain
Ss stomped!
exactly, jilli.
go, go stid!
it always amazes me how much texture cabbage has after stewing it
is the TR 9 fishy? it's my last wurd
what is the name of that game you're playing?
it's a past
it's a past tense mama, of the tr7
Word link 300
thanks seain
firewords!!!
and thanks also jac
congrats, stid
Good mama! I have lots left but think I'll read for awhile. Do you need anything?
father knows best from the radio, 1951... ??? with a very annoying child doing a maxwell house commercial...
LOL stid. good to the last drop
not right now, thanks Mother -- you can call if you like, the stidkid will be home soon.
Now all together: "we are the men of Texaco, we work from Maine to Mexico...." LOL
rofl seain
oooh. the boy just said "heck" now a joke... *sigh*
seain LOL!
see the . . . USA . . . in your Chevrolet!
oh oh, "father" just said, "all women are born hungry..." in front of "mother" *grin*
aw shucks, stid, it'll be over soon
there's the bus... stidkid will be inside soon.
what's funny is I can actually see the faces of the actors! (or is that sad...)
that's easy to see, stid
"not 'they are' -- 'they is'..." rofl
Civics is apparently a noun... like Yonkers. and Cathy wants to know "who are THEY"
last ma5.12, pls?
too funny. very very rofl funny.
i have the game and the bit that says your guess but i have no starter word
white should be in the middle to start, jacq
may need to refresh?
seain == like a star wars weapon or a police electric shock tool
stid, I hope you're feeling better today
ok maybe i have the wrong game
thanks
http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/lin x
ty
yes, jill -- better, but not great. hoping to feel well enough to attend class tomorrow.
Don't rush it, stiddy!
maybe i'll go to a museum tomorrow. change of scenery would be nice. Terra Cotta Warriors is still at Nat'l Geo. HM.
museum sounds lovely!
dc, I'm finding that game very frustrating -- entering tons of words which don't work
brb
have you entered the large trunked animal on white?
i donlt have a google account does it matter?
that does sound nice, dc
doesn't matter so long as you don't want to save, jacq
i wonder what's at NGA
yes, dc, got the pachyderm
still no words here and nothing shows i can type a word in but nothing happens
there's an equine on there, and several related terms
no WHITE in the middle, jacq?
just a blank square
sorry seain, i'm interrupting your play
not at all
i ra6 work the grid continuously
i have a mini-map with lots of green bits on it to the left og a big white square
okay, stidkid should be home this time... I hope. See you-all later! *poof*
anyone have some help with the 9-letter word?
hey, sd .. how long does that puzzle stay open? can't see any way to finish it today
sd dc seain :)
hi all
tr9/60 when you tow something behind your car past tense
*waving hi while cooking supper*
got it - - - thanks
indefinately, i think welki
ty (bbl)
jacq, mini map shows the the completed puzzle, in quadrants. click a quadrant - once found - to work it
hi, jmc
so most of this chat is about a totally different game?
today, yes, jmc
lol what game?
http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/lin x
aloha all!
hi dan
so how do you play it?
aloha, dan
aloha dan -- are you in Hawaii?
I wish, jillibus
ahhhhhhhhh ty seain
though mrs2bit & I are taking an extended MLK weekend trip to Southwestern Florida in just a couple weeks
nice, dan, hope you enjoy
last air travel before the baby, most likely
mmm, nice -- and how's mrs 2bit doing?
jmc, each box repsesents a word. Each word is connected to other boxes. a word in a box relates to all connected words.
much improved in the nausea department, and feeling "flutters" from the inside - showing a bit of a "bump" :-)
exciting, dan!
yes - we bought our "baby car" on 12/31, and ordered nursery furniture
hmm
because apparently nursery furniture can only be hand crafted by special left-handed elves who only work every other full moon
long time to delivery of furniture, dan?
dc, that equine is eluding me
no one told me about the elves -- i made a changing table out of an old fashion kitchen cabinet with a pull out ceramic covered metal bread board
mr ed, jilli
apparently 14 weeks or so. But we should be in plenty of time. Nice jmc! We just bought a low dresser that will temporarily be a changing table, then later get a mirror or hutch
mr ed was a male not a female
yes, but he was a type of animal
is that ma4?
in this puzzle, yes oodle.
or is there another word I don,t see
another puzzle - not babble - that you don't see ;)
i typed horse in the box and nothing happened
but why is jill saying she doesn't see the equine word
ok I'm confused
because she is playing the other game and trying to get help from dc oodle
other puzzle game :) just to be confusing
I also am trying the new puzzle and just got logged in but don't know how to play or what to put in the box can someone explain
i get nothing in the other game and i logged in to gmail
jillibus dc, that equine is eluding me
i tried to find a walk through
poor dc! everyone's asking how to play the game and the inventor should have included a Help!
there is a hints but i can't get it to take me anywhere
sure could use the help
hi again - i'm back after dinner and just realized I got so wrapped in the WHITE game, that I forgot I still have 33 words left to find here!
poor oodle we are confusing you
hi jbv
yes, it's like that jbv, welcome back
so explain how to play the WHITE game because Mary and I are clueless
jmc..."the ole grey m*** ain't what she used to be"
hits does not work, indeed not, jmc. it's like it's half-built or half-functional
fien I am taking my ball and going home
ty mp
i have a minimap called on the farm thats where mine started, but liking this game, ty
well I have 12 words there, but I still don't think I understand how it works
blonde taking a bow
I see the map also but what do I type in the box to get started?
well done MP
random words related to White to see what takes, then it builds from there
so give me an exemplary word -- i tried horse
ok now to babble-on...he, he, he
neither horse nor mare works
snow, which leads to another, which leads to horse
*looks out window for pizza guy*
*sigh*
ty dc
oh oh, I think you all are talking about the other game sorry...jilli and jmc...
okay got the snow in I will play for a while
no problem, MPittore :) all my fault
no no MP it was very nice of you to clue the horse here
I appreciate clues at all times (well most times)
well, I can't find anything from snow -- tried drop, flake, drift...
yes, and lots of people not in the chat her appreciate it, too, i'm sure
What is this other game of which thee speaketh?
try fall
i tried bank jill and that did work either
Ok I give up on the snow I spend too much time on babble let alone try another. Must focus on the 67 words left here where I'm hitting a wall
and how did you all get the white game and i got a farm
...like I need ANOTHER game addiction...
ty jacq!
try http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/lin x jac and scrabs
Right Scrabbler
no don't worry...I am ok babble friends...when I get better at this I might look into whatever else you all are playing..heck I might as just get addicted to that too...hee, hee, hee!
http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/lin x or http://tinyurl.com/ylhx9fr
was it fall jilli?
I have 122 left...was gone awhile my dear merman took me to dinner at a new chinese rest...yum-o
seain, you have really started something here tonight - we are now doubly addicted
it's cold enough the cat and the rabbit have been eating lots and sleeping lots, and little else.
the WHITE game needs a chat
singing out "double your pleasure, double you fun,..."
yay. go me.
oops type meant "your"
it needs a chat and a Help
you can find the rest, MP
yes jac it was fall
but fall didn't lead to horse either
pizza here I can't play two games watch jeopardy AND eat pizza!
I'ma tryin' dc....monkeys are workin' hard tonight!
I assume the dots represent the number of letters
no, but what you strap to your feet to walk on snow does
correct, jmc
jacq -- yes, it was fall and I said ty :)
i have two 2 letter words on mine then
sorry jilli, i had been curious and popped back to see
oo jill try another word for blizzard!
OK, I copied + pasted that link, looked at it, and will go back later. I am importing CDs into my iTunes library, and Babbling.
ah, thanks, dc, that really opens things up
lol we all have our limits
and ty jmc for the blizzard!
yw!
i can see my lack of spelling abilities may be a real problem with the map game
okay going to eat pizza bbl
darn, I have to go and heat up some supper -- bridge night.
njoy jmc and jilli
are words between words linked?
every box is linked to at least one other.
so, it's linked to both
i've one box liked to 4
a 4 letter word that links sheep and milk
teat
lol it was goat
heh
hi, new here
well, I have 60 left in Babble and godonlyknows how many in Word Link! Must go now -- see you after the flip!
Hello, brookllynbird
be will, jilli.
hey - so I'm listing words, what else??
hello, brooklynbird and BR
hello all
Hi brooklynbird
finding all the words is the goal each day. Help explains how to play - link above
good evening
Bye Jill
lawdy, just what i need ... i'm hooked on that game, seain!
me too and it's great, but i can't get the same one the others are playing lol
i wonder if that because you're not in North America, jacq
possibly the link opens but the minimap is a complete square instead of grids so maybe it's a different size or something maybe need to look at the coding
which browser are you using, jacq?
mine is square too, jac .. once you open up each quadrant, you'll get four itty bitty maps you can click on
right now i'm playing the farm quadrant, and that's fine but if i use the link seain posted i get a blank square in the middle and the minimap has no quadrants
holy mackerel, I did not realize I was only solving 1/4 of the puzzle! now I see the other webs!
ah, you're on teh original game then, jacq
what's the farm quadrant? i have colors in mine ... ut oh, maybe i have a different puzzle!
yes i found the link for it and it opens fine but it has a similar addy to the link you posted and strangely enough pig leads to a religions quadrant
i think it's very interesting because it uses different word skills compared with Babble - you have to focus on meanings, which of course, is absolutely of no worth here :)
Is that (Word Link) a game that changes dialy?
Or even daily?
i think it's a never ending game lol
i found a link where users can upload their own map
hey all
I need a clue for the re7/32 and the re 8/45 right after it....any help?
Hi Jayde
does anyone else have a 'color' theme to their map? my quadrants are black, red, white and green
so what's a good score in today's puzzle?
Hi Scrabbler:)
a hawk, jade
3817
The goal = finding all possible words in that day's grid
hi, babble
yes welki - I'm working on WHITE only, have just a little more than halfway done
hmmmm.....
hi welki
what does 3817 mean?
re 7 -- crimson caudal appendage; pl
i believe they are brids of prey, start witha colour and end with a back part of an animal
taht would be total points, i think, brooklyn
Hey gang -- google Word Link 300 and there's some help available, apparently -- haven't had time to check it out
whoa, that's alot
lololol a link to cow was holy cow
pole
Thanks!!!

Hi lbd
Buried under snow here, lbd!
Welki! hi bo, Hi Scrabs!

snowshoes lead to a horse
fireworks! but I feel like I can't celebrate until I finish at least one quadrant of the Word Link
wtg JBV
whooooo hooooooo JBV!!!
a bit obscure for me, DC
congrats, jbv
I did, lbd, Fri-Sat-Sun were snowshoeing days. Today has been a day of work & rest.
Yahoo JBV!
if the empty box is under a word, then the empty box-word is second ? like ... rabbit (empty box ...) rabbit ear?
rest is good, scrabs.
think between relates to both
or all, as the case may be
Even going up stairs makes my thighs hurt, dawger
i don't think you can count on that logic, welki - it seems to be a two-way link
How did you learn of the Word Link game, Seain?
i have a new pair of snowshoes waiting to be used. i have to get over my cold first, and then to have enough snow to actually have some fun. owie sore thighs.
I got Redfeather snowshoes from Campmor.com. I have gotten lots of stuff from that store, for outdoor activities.
hello all
from my friend Jo H
hi, TO
hubz bought them from costco, i've never snowshoed before. it looks like fun, and i'm sure my body will resist me using muscles long forgotten
Hi Owl.
Hi TO
hi, owl
All you have to do is walk, dawger! I have trekking po5 for added balance and exercise
*cevers ears until talk of new word games ceases*
We have no Costcos here, nor Trader Joes nor Whole Foods.
these came with po5. which is good cuz i foresee a lot of limping along! lol
Yes, Owl, nrkii has me hooked on Quote-Puzzler but I suck at the games. It's humiliating because the scores are listed for all players.
no trader joes or whole foods here. :-(

Min, that's fine. They are fun but you shouldn't feel beholden to your fans.
gravelly?
ho5.6 sounds like the capital of Idaho, and past tense Bo***

We had snow all weekend - about 9 or 10 inches altogether but it should be clear for a while.
not usually, scrabb .. i think we've kept less than half a dozen in the last ten years
gotta keep the furbearing fish. they make nice mitts
Hi wht
how do you decide which ones to keep?
Hi ya Ru! HNY!!
he's getting big, ruru
it is going to get even colder in the mid atlantic this weekend
HI LBD.. same to you..
deciding which ones? depends on species we're fishing for, time of year and size
Hi Rurur

Perk up your ea4/4 all babblers! Here's a clue story. I had dr 5/14 last night that I did not have to go back to work. Then I woke up and thought dr 4/5 it was a dr5/14.It was very hard to ea 4/4 back into getting up early. It would have been ea 6/18 if did not fl 4/8 around in bed w/insomnia last night. But what el 4/4 is new?I always have anxiety when I have to go back to work after vacation. But I went to work & faced the every day dr 5/14 of working in a school.Saw my Principal who is a real ar 4/4. It was easy to er 5/10 her out of my mind during vacation.I'd love to look in her fi 4/7 to learn about her background. I really do not know how she became a Principal. She is just like an annoying fl4/7 that buzzes around. Not only that, she is also a li 4/4. She will say anything to not admit she er5/12.Some days I'd love to fl4/7 my job just to get away from her.I wish that I could ma4/5 a letter to tell her how I really feel. But then she would ma4/6 into pieces on my observations.I'd have to pl 4/5 for forgiveness. She'd probably ra 5/10 hell & ra4/4road me into quitting. It is ra 4/4 for me to rant and rave about my supervisor, but sometimes I jut have to let it all out. She is a real pain in the re4/4end! It's time for me to get out of this se 4/4&pick what I want to we 4/8 to work tomorrow. I did not mean to ho 5/14 the chog about my Principal. I hope this story made it ea 6/18 for you to find some more words in puzzle.

Hi all. Having stayed up late to get some wildlife photography done and fired off 22 shots to get nothing, nada, nothing of the fox shots that could even be lightened up on my crappy at night digicam, I was already a bit miffed. Just tried to go to bed and found snoring other half starfished in centre of wreck of bedding in bed. Even in sleep, before I'd even thought I've issuing the familiar command, 'GET ON YOUR OWN SIDE!' he held up a hand, like a policeman telling traffic to stop. 'Don't worry, mate!' said I. 'I'm not even going to try to get in there.'
oh no, jac!!!!
ty wht and bye
138
keep it up, jmc!
need first ma4/5, first ma5/12, last ma6/21 please
good question, MPitt
The most annoying thing, Pini, was that 2 magnificent male foxes were posing for me and didn't mind me clicking off the cam at them. Other Half got his Canon EOS 450D cam he's saved up for ages for today. I must learn how to use it.
wish I knew!
ty pini LOL
oh, if you can get the pics, jac...would love to see them!!!
1st ma4.5 = to spoil or deface but with a double vowel middle.
ma5.12 = plural or the planet with a double vowel middle.
thx jac ;)
ty jac
Last ma6.21 is like the thing you sleep on but with the last letter missing.
thx again!
Well, you sleep on it if there isn't a snoring mand starfished in the middle of it with the duvet twisted all around him and all the pillows scattered. LOL
what you sleep on minus all the double letters ;)
maybe you should put his hand in some cold water?
His hand, Pini? Can't I go for a double a little lower? *grins*
ty jac...you are super!

Pini - iced water would be better.:-D
ICE CUBES!!!
Or maybe not; he'd get his own back on me eventually.
It's -4C outside at present, pretty cold for UK.
tell him was sweating and it's so cold out that it froze! :)
that is how cold it is here jac!
He's not daft enough to be taken in by that, Pini.
that is cold anywhere except maybe the artic
lemme see what it is here
We are supposed to be coming out of the last mini Ice Age, hence all the daft panic about global warming. Howver, little throwbacks happen every now and again, climatewise.
52F/11C here
Pini - it's positively balmy there then!
rather crappy, yes...it's not really cold, but it's not really warm either :(
I hope my rosemary bush doesn't die in this cold. I didn't cover it with a fleece and I don't have cuttings in the greenhouse this year, since we've had so many warm winters. I'd be lost without my fresh rosemary and other herbs.
I planted some this year, but still don't really understand how to cook with them, but they smell good!
evening folks. 77 left to go.
hi ori
pini - where in the states do you live?
I'm the kind of cook who likes to either go out and cut or dig up her ingredients for the meal she is making or go to the local farm shop for it.
Pacific Northwest
Hi Paperfolder.
rosemary sticks (sans leaves) make excellent kabob sticks
i use my home grown herbs all the time
this is the time of year our weather is alike ...
MPitt - that is true!
whereabouts are you, ori?
hi jacula!
using kabob sticks would entail knowing how to grill
e emptied
34 left here
Origami - we in UK used to get USA weather 2 weeks later, but it seems to arrive faster now.
I sometimes listen to Peaches and Herb
you can "grill" on kabob sticks in the oven under the broiler
31 for me now
what? use my stove/oven?
pini...you know what the saying is...just do it
I'm in Sacramento. i grew up in the san francisco bay area, so i'm still getting used to the heat in the summer (most days over 100 degrees) and the cold in the winter -- although i know better than to b**** about the cold with you folks :-)
Pini - I'm guessing cooking isn't your forte, but you'd like to learn?
not my forte, but passable; learn? not really...no one to cook for but me now
Hi BR. Peaches & Herb were not really keepers, music wise.
but love eating the creations of others!
origami you can complain to red whose in florida
just down the road, ori!
i am my favorite person to cook for
at some point, we're going to have a West Coast GT (get together)
pini..you are worth doing it for yourself...if you have a grill on your stove you can even do two kabobs there for yourself!
I suppose their song 'Reunited' might serve as a theme song for internet users of old school sites.
but that means actually "working" on cooking, MPitt!
some of their songs are right up there with the Six Fat Dutchmen
San Diego! Come on down!
but it's easy, really...don't have to be fancy at all
it's hard for people who live with "real" weather to hear you complain about the "cold" when it's 45 or the heat when it's 85 when you grew up in the land of perpetual 70 degrees :-)
Hi Torg.
or even Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs
what's mid-point of west coast?
? and the Mysterians ..
but i do so hate the summers here ... grew up in a redwood forest

what parka?
You're actually going TO Hemet??

hello everyone
hi phan
Pini - I love to cook and one fear I have of getting older is either 'no one to cook for' or 'thinking I can still cook when I can't.' I know I can still cook at present - my son told me earlier that I should photograph my Fidget Pie as it looked 'really impressive'.
hi phand
oh yes the redwoods are very cool! except they are extremely shallow rooted. there was a huge storm on the central california coast in 1982 that toppled many trees and killed many people. i was trapped in our cabin for two weeks by mud slides and trees.
Hi Phan.
March is probably the best time for Hemet ..
I remember when I was a very little girl going to the redwood forest andmy dad actually drove thru a redwood tree...forgot to say it had a pasage way thru it...but they don't let you do that anymore to preserve them...I even have a piece of petrified wood I bought back then before we knew better
I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with hyperthyroidism in cats and the radioactive treatment that is supposed to be a cure?
Just heard the male foxes (father and son) barking outside again. Not going to try for photos until I'm allowed to use the new Canon cam.
how do you know they are male, Jacula?
ooh ... i miss living around wildlife (excepting my two hounds and cats)
1) cooking isn't my forte, but I've been known to cook some interesting dishes (edibly good, of course) 2) redwoods...I believe there are still a couple you can drive through, but cars nowadays are getting too big for the available tree "tunnels" 3) would still love to see pics of the foxes!
Phan - not me. My old cat died of the usual thing, a stroke brought on by kidney failure, despite me telling vet and asking for test 3 or 4 years before when it first began happening. It's the result of cats eating processed foods and/or too much protein. Have you ever tried to get a cat to eat a salad? My surviving male cat is getting Alzheimer's or the feline version, I think.
help with the re7 and re8 please
color + what a dog wags
Phan - I know they're male because I know my local foxes. I watch their demeanour and behaviour, and anyway, there are other ways to tell.
I am sorry Jac. This is the 2nd cat I have had that was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism
my backyard backs to a forest and we have a plethera of wildlife...deers, foxes, groundhogs, multitude of birds even the ones in the grid...watched them scoop up a chipmunk right in front of me...scared the pants off me...racoons, and I've heard there was a sighting nearby of a cayote...that will end the foxes
Pini - can't deliver any fox pics to you know 'cos all 22 failed. You'll have to wait for night shots with a good cam.
I hear that foxes make a very strange sound is it true?
I'm patient, jac!!! :)
thank you very much

Options for going to sleep now - my own bed? Possibly, if it's not still being starfished by the duvet tangling man who is holding up the policeman hand saying stop. Son's bed? No. Stepdaughter's bed? Maybe, if I can throw all the soft toys off the unslept on side without disturbing her. Sofa? No way! Why SHOULD I? It's MY HOUSE!
consider twin beds in the master bedroom?
then you could sleep in your own room? ;)
...and he might fall off a little more often for lack of space!
Office? With possibility of waking up with the keyboard imprinted on my face? No.
os 5?
got the re4/7

No, Pini. I'd prefer to make the whole room a bed, if I had the space for a separate dressing room, which I did briefly, before his daughter had to come to live with us.

Not that I'm blaming her! When Oher Half got gloomy on NYE, like he usually does, I reminded him efore he buggered off to bed at 10.15pm, that if anyone had had a rotten year, it was his daughter.

Stid - I don't approve on sun sign only horoscopes but this one was quite right about the inner dragon. LOL

BR, I really like the song you have today.
me too
brb
The inner dragon got imprisoned when I was about 10 and realised that people liked to wind me up and then make fun of me. I learned to count to 10, then 20, then much more. Thee dragon's burst out occasionally, the last major outburst causing my divorce, but mostly she's quiet.
The thing a man should never do, when he's met a dragon, is think that he's trained and domesticated her, especially if he abuses her trust. My ex found that fact out.
I know how that feels, Jac.
I am not naturally "sweetness and light"

ty pini so very much! may the angels shine on you tonight
are you using expert?
* giggle *
yes...it's great except if I try to click on someones icon it freezes up and that's a pain
mine "freezes" for a brief moment while it opens a browser window (IE), but then all is good ;)
I normally use Firefox, so, if you keep IE open in the background, it will probably not "freeze" for so long
I think mine freezes and shivers and dives into the abyss!
ROFL
i should have a new icon again...we took a lot of photos
* refreshing *
I have firefox too...but the guy set mine up with msn browser (although he set up IE on husbands machine at same time...maybe a little trick instead of a treat he gave me) grrrr on that geek guy
ooooh, ru, he's gorgeous!!!!

brb I'm going to regular babble so I can see your icons...that's it pini he messed up my adobe reader and I can't get it to work..it is operator error on my blonde brain though i'm sure...it says to look for a yellow bar and click but i don't have any yellow bar (or a brick road either!)
175
