that's great -- I was introduced to the Chicago bidding system quite a few years ago. I didn't like it -- figured you might as well just tell everyone what you are holding, it is so precise.

for downloading IE I need to have access to a browser... and I do have a setup file for FireFox but it does the same thing as the browser itself: it runs as a process, but not as a task (in the task manager). So I cannot access it.

No no no Sprite. You should have: up right in frount of you Set Default Programs and a panel of programs
ok found it, that is under Microsoft Windows in that panel. It lists Internet Explorer as only browser.

that I can do in Custom. Doesn't make a difference though. Each time I try, all I get is the process, not the application to work.
You should be able to get Set Default Programs, Select IE, set as Default program

Sue Anne, if you look at the tile stats and then at the grid, you'll see that they match up. When it says 0/7 at top left D, it means that there are 7 words beginning with d coming from tile. As you go along, you should see the numbers changing.

It was a very different game then. Most times few of anybody finished. Minilists by letter were posted along the way. In fact, originally there were no tile stats either. Sprite was the queen of all Babblers then.
Dishes were unwashed, children neglected, dogs pined without walks.
There wasn't the same expectation of finishing, that was the big difference.

I know here in Delaware and in PA, they don't let you save residential spots. Public parking. But, I can see why you'd be upset after you spent all that time digging out. Perhaps it would be worth it to shovel the snow back onto the car that stole your spot.
look if there was not any snow I would never save teh spot and I put up with people parking in front of my house all the time -- there are two churches near by
it is the norm that if there is more than a foot of snow and you shovel out your spot that you can save it with a chair or other marker
when i drove up and honked my horn he came running around the corner cause he knew he had no business parking there

Recipe for Broiled Grapefruit 1 ruby red grapefruit 2 Tbsp brown sugar 2 Tbsp honey Cut grapefruit in half Shave a small bit off round part of both halves, so they will sit flat in a pan Put both halves in a pan (I put a foil bowl around the bottom and sides of them to keep the pan from getting sticky) Section and carve the insides to your heart's content, but don't let the knife pierce through the skin. Add brown sugar and honey to the top of each half. Broil for about 10-15 minutes, till the top is nicely singed and gooey. Often the syrup falls off and runs under the grapefruit, so I transfer the grapefruit to a bowl and pour the goo on top from the foil.
